Grammar police here. Blonde for female, blond for male.

She did, until that dirty Burj Khalifa went up. But then the burj will leave her for a younger, more fertile woman and she'll come crawling back to the Frenchy. Of course, Frenchy will have already taken on a younger, more fertile woman as well. This will continue until she settles for a potted cactus. Poor cacti.

So, I understand the intention. But it doesn't actually stop people changing it to a normal link and voting/posting. Also, most subs don't even implement alternate css anyway so it literally makes no difference at all.

Hmm, not sure if they're comparable, but I'm doing TAFE. Well, it used to be called tafe, now it's called vocational education. Either way, it's supposed to be no BS, hands on to learn the skills you need to just do the job. Not a degree, Advanced Diploma.

In the universe I live in, engineering is for those who want to and can be engineers. It’s not for everybody and there is no reason to believe that aptitude for engineering is evenly distributed. This, 100%. I'm currently studying electronics engineering (in Australia, fwiw) and the degree of bar-lowering going on to make sure everybody passes is, frankly, embarrassing.

Fuck me, I know I said expand, but... hahaha. I think I get what you're saying though. I like the idea of charities, but as you say, it's impossible to really know which ones do the most good for the least cut of the pie. And yes, the reality is that they have to pay themselves in order to exist, which seem a bit counter to the idea of a charity. I guess the logical argument is they can't do any good at all otherwise. But mostly it's the government assistance and tax exemptions that I hate. Fran…

So, to clarify, if you keep the gains for yourself, don't you still have to pay tax on it? Edit: Never mind, I misread. Capital gains taxes at work, that's all. Edit 2: So for anyone who doesn't understand why this isn't that bad - it's because the $1,000 originally spent, which is now valued at $4,000, can be claimed as a tax deduction for the new, larger amount. So there's really no tax to be paid, per se, just a lower value counted towards the deduction.

This always pisses me off. If I want something done, I'll do it. If I'm not already doing something, it means I either don't care - or I intend to do it at a later date. Never will I ask someone else to do something - unless that person has a particular skill that I don't possess. Women can't handle this for some reason. Men must do things on their schedule, when they believe something needs to be done. Well, if I'm happy bathing in a filthy shower - then that's what I'll do. At the point I have…

If you're just quitting because you think you should quit, it probably won't work. Find something else to fill the time. Then just naturally replace gaming with whatever else it is you want to do. As for your friends, if they don't like it, who cares? Having been through it, they usually just jokingly guilt you about it for a while. After that, some stick around and others just keep playing. No big deal.

Oh this hit a chord with me. Girl I had a thing with about 6 years ago, we hadn't seen each other for years. Got back in touch last year and ended up in an LTR. She had gained a bit of weight, which was off-putting. But it was the feminism that finally forced me to end it. When I first met her she was pretty cool, still an awalt for sure, but tolerable. She also managed to write good music back then. A degree of self-consciousness that drove her, at least a little, to produce half way decent son…

"Do u think that people like Elon Musk or Trump got to where they are right now without an ego?" Actually, that's a good point that I didn't mention about my experience. When I did experience an absence of ego - I had zero desire to gain any sort of advantage over others. Honestly, I think the best way to do it is through psychedelics (or lots of pot, speaking from experience). It's happened to me once. The effect lasted a few days before it started to fade. I can't remember exactly what I was doing, but I think it involved a lot of introspection and looking for cognitive dissonance etc. As rmcassio says, I'd be surprised if it was possible to truly eschew your ego. Oh yeah, definitely not suggesting this is a new phenomenon. Growing up in the 80s/90s I still had most freedoms "kids these days" don't really know. I recognise that I am supremely fortunate to have inherited (through genetics) my father's above average intelligence. I guess it just would have been nice to have received a man's view of the world from someone I looked up to. I feel I have a firm grasp on reality, but having a father's input is something most boys should have - in my opinion, of …

Yeah, definitely sympathise with this. My old man has slaved hard to provide for my family, but that's where it ends. No advice, no support, no communication. I don't blame him for anything, and I understand he had to use his downtime to recharge for another slave day for the man. But it kinda sucks, would have been nice to have more of a man's advice on life over the years.

Money is an invention by the upper social hierarchies to control the productivity of the labor force. Not really. Money is the natural evolution from barter. Now, we could argue about fiat currency vs. commodity backed currency, but the fact remains that having some type of money as part of a trade system is the most efficient method. +1 to everything else you mention though.

I honestly think you're trying to do too much in one go. I suggest you focus on the first three things in your list. Go to the gym 5 days a week, no longer than 1 hour per session. Get your diet in check (look up ketogenic, if you haven't already) and do your best with hygiene. Don't worry about the other stuff, because if you can keep up the first three items for three months, then you can start looking into other areas.

If he's not interested in the reality of relationships and how women/girls act - there's not a lot you really can do. What I was focussed on, and what you should be focussed on are two very different things. I was a fuck up (and still mostly am). However, speaking as someone who has wasted many years, all I can really say is just do your best to find things you enjoy - and do them. There are a lot of suggestions you'll see around here. I think it's a fair reaction. A man is (usually) much more physically intimidating. Also, most people are usually slow to react when one person starts to get violent. It's usually when there's retaliation that people gtfo (regardless of the genders involved). Also, fat mole got what she deserved.
