Something I don't like is how sensitive Reddit has become. It's now common on subs that it's not allowed to send unsolicited DMs to people and you can get banned for this. If you don't like receiving unsolicited DMs you can just turn them off or you can just ignore whatever DM you receive it's really no big deal. Banning people for this seems way over the top to me and I say this as someone who has never sent unsolicited DM. I just think you should be able to if you want to.

I think part of the reason it has changed is again due to the skewed gender ratio. Women started to realize it more and more (even if subconsciously) and act accordingly. The only thing that matter on the apps is how skewed the gender ratio is. It may not seem like it, but even a 60/40 gender ratio with similar degree of activity is pretty bad for men. So something like 80/20 or even worse 90/10 is playing on absolute hell difficulty unless you're literally top 1%. OLD is just a very, very hard game for men.

So I did some napkin math and if it's correct, if I buy an house and sell it after 5 years I'd lose about $35k vs renting whereas if I buy an house and sell it after 10 years I'd gain about $40k vs renting. Nice, sounds like you had a pretty good experience. I've seen above a dozen sex workers over the years and sometimes it can be quite dissapointing. Sometimes it's great though, but there is definitely a luck element to it whether the girl will be invested and whether you'll click with her or not. Tbh I don't think even 'abusive' men reveal that they aren't nice until way later. The default in society seems to appear nice and it's only down the road that people show their true colors. So with that in mind, being 'nice' isn't going to give you much advantage in the dating market, you gotta stand out more.
