2	Lifting - can it be done without the "diet"? You can gain on pretty much any diet, but some things will make your life a lot easier. Stop by /r/fitness and check the FAQ, then visit some of the other subs they recommend. At the very least, get more protein in your diet. You don't need powders or supplements, just eat a lot of eggs and chicken, peanut butter, rice, potatoes, and maybe some beef or fish. Be aware that the secretary is a part time volunteer position, so it may be a few days before you hear back. Just tell them that you are interested in joining, and would like more information. 3	Free Masons and TRP If you are in the US, Google on "Masonic Grand Lodge of (state)" and you should find the website of the Grand Lodge, i.e., the head of Freemasonry in your state. It should have the letters F&AM or AF&AM in the name: For example, here's NY: Grand Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons in the State of New York. The F&AM stands for Free and Accepted. You'll need to Google a term like "Masonic Grand Lodge of (state)" And no, you don't need to know someone. They will ask you to come down and interview, possibly over a dinner - or several dinners. 4	Free Masons and TRP /r/freemasonry is actually a thing, and they would be happy to answer your questions. Freemasonry isn't like McDonalds, though - each lodge will be a little different had have it's own culture depending upon where you live. If you're near a city or large town, the lodge will probably be more active than those that are out in the sticks.
