I'm 36 and she's 31. We all have each other's numbers and have a group chat. Laura and I text all the time about different things (shows, books, work obviously, share memes). She also texted me alot during my divorce and helped me find a new place pretty close to her house, told me I was worth something and I was a "good guy". That's kinda why I'm in this situation. She reached out to me on the side about my marital issues and offered a helping hand so to speak during my dark state of mind.

He has anger issues. That's his biggest flaw. He slams his desk, mouse, keyboard all the time and throws small tantrums over his computer being slow. Laura has mentioned to me that she thinks that's childish. All three of us are in the office everyday. There's rarely times when it's only two. Laura and I go out to lunch together at least once a week while Jake stays at the office.

I think this is a good plan. I'm definitely backing off all this nice guy crap. It really is helpful to read all the responses here no matter how blunt lol.

Those are some good points. Also we work for a unioned city government. Almost no one gets fired for sleeping with each other. Yay unions! But yeah I definitely should focus on myself here

Thanks for this. I really needed to hear it straight like that. I agree with all your points. I do consider her one of the closest friends I've ever had. She's helped me through some bad times and had continually reached out to me about her own things. BUT...I don't want to be associated with someone that'll flirt with married men.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
