Seems you are in a tough spot. You are saying "pleading guilty". If you have not done any DV, do not ever plead guilty. The other party can allege all they want, but they have to prove that all this happened. Hope you have a good Attorney Regarding your overall outlook for future - dont think negative, don't look at too much into the future, stay positive, stay calm, take care of your health

You are not alone. 70% X's move on immediately after divorce 20% continue the conflict. But soon find their new life and move on 10% continue the conflict. Some of us are in that 10% population Some advice based on my experience. Separate the issues into "big battle", "silly battles". Tracking you using kids cell phone - Let go. Your kids should not allow their mom to pry into their cell phones. But if the phone is on mom's plan or if the kids are ok with this, nothing you can do. Talking bad wi…

And still at Discovery stage. Seems your case is 6 months more than normal. Pls review with your Attorney as to what's delaying your case and what is require…

Is the court hearing a Divorce hearing? Or is this court is a DV criminal hearing. Assuming this is a Divorce hearing. Then Relax. It is a civil case. Whatever has been filed is the only thing that the court discusses. One cannot bring "new" things out of the air into a court hearing. The things that will be discussed in a Divorce hearing are Custody, Parenting time, Finances, Alimony etc. And all will be based on the filing documents only. Courts have a structured process for conducting a heari…

Based on what I know - property outside US is not included in the valuation for US divorce. What you do or not do with that property does not matter. You should take back that 300k property offer. It makes no sense to a US divorce. But check and modify the Financial Statement that you attached with your original filing. Child Support - as others have mentioned - is a calculator. Based on the state / County maybe. You owe based on your standard of living, based on the Financial statement you file…

Mine is similar. 4 months after the divorce: Still fights over email and whatsapp over trivial things Still tries to alienate the kids Still tries to send nasty messages the other day, was video recording me at the kids swapoff spot tries to interfere in my personal life 70% of women move on, having made their plans, have their own aspirations and at peace with the situation. 20% of the cases they are not recovered immediately, but move on after a months after the divorce. Having found a new par…

Has your divorce been filed yet? From the time the Divorce is filed to about 4-5 months, generally there is not much that gets communicated by Attorney. They move when the court moves, and the first movement is when your case comes up for the first hearing. Which is about 4-5 months, depending on the state. Anyway here are some responses based on my experience: Attorney Response - 2-3 days is the standard response. Try calling and see if they return your phone calls. If neither email nor phone c…

Once the divorce is finalized the ex has to inform their Insurance provider immediately and remove the other spouse from Health Insurance. There are two aspects to this, based on what I know: It is as per law Insurance companies don't like ex spouse to avail the benefits. They expect to terminate as quickly as possible It does not matter which date of the month the intimation is given. The removed spouse will be covered for 30 days. So pushing the judgment to later in the month is not required, …

Based on my experience I agree with this comment. I had a good Attorney who guided me thru a heavily conflicted divorce. As your last sentence indicates, my Attorney too, advised me to go for settlement, instead of a trial. He was steadfast. And got a favorable outcome. Even after the Divorce was finalized / signed, he followed up to closure on various tailend issues.

I think wither it is the weakness in men or ratio of men:women, that these women get paired so fast. My case, I told about my divorce to 5 colleagues. They just sympathized. Wished me good luck. My STBX informed to her 15 colleagues. Already the men are lining up - messages, followup calls, wanting to hear her manipulated sob story, how they can help, she also got two paid holidays from her male boss (recover from the shock - her boss told her).

Else I am a scumbag Example 1 - Her - cn u put garbage out Me - ok Her - cn u put NOW Me - I am in a call Her - Big deal. Mute. Anyway u don't talk in calls Me - [put the garbage out] Her - thx [She gets what she wanted. So conversation ends quickly] Example 2 - Her - am hungry, get pizza... Dominoes Me - I am working. Well, there are a lot of advices on this sub regarding not-moving-out. I followed that advice. In hindsight, I feel that should have moved out when the case started. Because I was going crazy with the atmosphere. Anyway, now I am almost done. So in your case, if your basic functioning and mental well being is at a risk. It is better to move out. But you may check with your Attorney the specific scenario. But yes - if you rent an apartment, and the mortgage is in your name. You have to pay both.

Options we had for the house One party has to buyout the other. Or One party has to agree to move out. Or The matter will go to court. And court will most likely order to sell and split the equity Both of hs wanted the house. But with real estate being exploding, I did not want it to be sold due to the status quo. Besides, Children wanted to stay in the house. So I offered to moveout, in the interest of my children and overall protection of an asset.

Parenting arrangement - primarily how much time each will spend and the distribution of the holidays /vacations. I prepared for my case.. about 90% I created myself because there was no template available on Internet. My Attorney filled the rest. It is in a word document. If you can message me your email, I can send Financial - is very specific. This also I prepared. My attorney said, nothing doing. We will not give a penny. So we did not use it. You can see that and tailor it

Most will do first consultation free. Retainer generally is 3.5 to 5k. The retainer last for about 10-15 hours of work. That equates to about 3-4 months of initial work: nsmely:, getting details of your case (2 or 3 in person meeting), getting ready the documents for filing (about 5 discussions via email/phone), and a filing the papers in court. You will expect your retainer to be used up once the divorce papers are filed.

NJ here...Based on my experience here is the cost. If it is a contested case, meaning you file first. And the other party issues a counter with a host of issues. Then all the way upto the first mediation, approx $30K. It will take about 10 months to reach this stage post pandemic. So budget for $3k a month upto the mediation. If mediation fails then pre-trial, discovery documents, discovery process etc. 6 more months minimum, additional $20K. Beyond that I dont know, as I am at this stage. Stati…
