Why is this such a big deal? Just tell her and she can find someone more compatible. People have dealbreakers, it's normal, not tragic. He doesn't like pot smokers, there are plenty of guys who smoke now and again who want a wife who'll smoke a bowl with them. I personally wouldn't date a regular pot smoker, but would equally write off someone who is teetotal, it's just the preferences that line up with my lifestyle.

Youtube Videos! There are, no joke, youtube videos for every possible type of workout at any length. I often struggle with motivation with going for a run or going out/paying to exercise, but I can always make time for a 20 minute video at home. I especially love Yoga with Adriene and Fitness Blender (I think they have 1000+ videos!!) but you can find almost anything tailored to your taste and fitness level.

I would send a message saying that you don't like to text so much or be glued to your phone.

I'm pretty inflexible and hated the idea of going to a class where I'd be awful. I've been following Yoga with Adriene on youtube and she's great, a really good way for beginners to get into it, and its hard to make excuses to not fit in one half hour video.

There's lots of interesting research, theories and evidence to how societies became more or less patriarchal - some physical: agriculture development means cultures who mostly use ploughing (need for brute strength) made men more active 'outside'. societies where ploughing was the norm became more patriarchal than those where hoeing (fine for both sexes). Societies with abundant resources tend to be less patriarchal, less focused on sexual exclusivity/lineage concerns - less intragroup competiti…

I use a coconut oil hair mask (but it comes in a bottle, not natural coconut oil!) I have straight hair but its very thick and gets dry/poofy, I do the oiling about once a month.

What a good idea! I always forget audiobooks exist, but that's a great system.

Post history says this is a man... poor attempt at porn trolling.

First, some statistics: Married men get a lot of physical and psychological health benefits - moreso than women. Cohabiting has a similar effect, but not to as great a degree as marriage. (Source 1, Source 2) Married men with stay at home spouses are significantly healthier and wealthier than single men (Source) Men take a greater emotional and health hit from a divorce than women, but recover quicker financially. Many women never recover financially from a divorce - even to pre marriage levels.…

I think different people have very different ideas of what they want to know or not, and it can be hard to work out what they are without asking! My boyfriend is the same as you, he says he trusts me and knows what I'm like, so if I say someone is a friend, he does not need to know if it's a friend who's seen me naked. I ABSOLUTELY want to know and would feel hurt if he did not tell me - known exes make me uncomfortable for a few moments and then I feel fine, feeling embarrassed if I find out af…

Well, I think this subreddit is specifically a redpill space. While I find the discussion interesting, I feel it's pretty rude to march in and give un-redpill advice on a topic if someone is posting here specifically looking for that. Luckily there are plenty of more universal topics (red flags to look out for in dating!) where I can contribute more generally.

Basically - I think focusing on negatively stereotyping the opposite sex rather than accepting your problems may be caused by your own errors in judgement, and learning to filter better, is bad for both genders.

Cathartic it may be - the same way bitching to your girlfriends about cheaters and liars and players is cathartic to women, but letting yourself go down those negative paths (in my experience) seems to attract negative people into your life. Like the Tinder user who has been burnt enough to put "no hookups" in her profile, assuming the worst of the average man/woman makes the healthy ones steer clear and acts as a neon sign for those who see them as easy targets.

I think the other comments have lots of good points, but 2 more I've found for me.... 1) No Nastiness/meanness - I cannot stand people who are needlessly mean and negative, I'm not talking venting about a shitty coworker once in a while but seem people just have a constant negative view of everything that happens to them. I find it exhausting and that it makes me negative too. Also, no 'fighting dirty' - bringing up personal things to hurt you or name calling. My boyfriend and I have had a coupl…

Also I found the RPW outlooks are much healthier and more positive than TRP, which I think is quite a toxic place, and a toxic mindset for a young man to get into. I think a lot of the points presented by TRP as applying to women (going for crazy exciting people who aren't good long term matches then wanting to settle down later, lots of casual sex can mess up your ability to bond with your partner) apply to both. RPW seems to have more self awareness.

Totally! I think a lot of it comes down to actually being nice in your relationship, which I think applies to men and women, straight and gay, plant or animal....

I'm actually not really 'red pill' and have my own opinions that differ on lots of points, and generally consider myself pretty feminist. However, I like the focus here on self improvement and gratitude, which I think feminist spaces often lack. I like doing the best I can to take care of the other person in a relationship and there are good ideas for how to do it here. I also like recipe threads! I try to limit my contributions to threads like recipes as I know my views aren't always in line wi…

Hi! I'm a woman who has to watch my weight or I get pudgy and my boyfriend is a man with a big appetite who can eat 1/2 kilo of ice cream a day and maintain (actually happened!). Here are my cooking tips: All your meals are based around protein, vegetables, and BULK. I tend to make something lean ish for me, like chicken or beef with salad or roasted vegetables, and then I make a big pot of bulk material - in my case rice, because it's his favourite. I sometimes have a little, but he gets most o…

I would just next a guy immediately or downgrade to acquaintance only if his first attempt at hanging out with me is a booty call. I've only mild red pill tendencies (I have my own views, but I find the women here are respectful and have a strong drive to self improvement and being good partners which I like to learn from) but in my experience when a guy has you pegged like that it's a losing battle to try and change his mind.
