I wonder this too. Well I have fb but not insta which is where the action is now. I think no social media is better than having a shitty social media presence from past posts I have seen And the thing is it takes a long time to build up a instagram presence for it to help and probably is miserable if you personally aren’t the type for it.

How do you approach at an EDM concert or rave? I see girls at these but they are usually in groups and its also hard to even talk. Seems like some of these groups also have guys in them at times which automatically puts approaching out of my mind I don’t see too many people approaching at concerts.

Hmm ok I guess so. But what about environments like school classes, work, social circle, etc? Where you will encounter the girl again. Seems like it can lead to lot of awkwardness if you do it too early. Like some girl in class rejected me but at least its not awkward since I built up to it over like 2-3 weeks. She suspected I was interested though and looked prepared for it, so I don’t think it counts as “be her friend to get in her pants”.

But some shy women will be creeped out by being overly forward. What do you do about those? Isn’t it better to try to casually hang out with them maybe once and then ask them out?

She sits next to you and its the end so no awkwardness Just ask her at the end of the next class

I hear all about this friendzone but what about guys who have 0 female friends and for whom girls seem to assume interest? I have this problem where its difficult to be friends with girls since they assume and then avoid hanging out. I still have no idea why that happens to me. But its problematic since having female friends is supposed to help you meet other girls too. That never happens to me either though. Ive never been close enough to a girl for her to introduce her friends.

Certain areas though are extremely expensive like the Bay Area. Its not necessarily feasible to move out quickly, so you would be putting your sex life on hold for possibly years

The sad thing is a lot of girls can get away with being like that, but not guys. Probably what the OP here doesn’t realize...

GABA agent are also other ones haha alcohol obviously and benzos. Serotonin I think it depends on your genes and complex stuff. 5HT1A is connected to oxytocin, cortisol as well as dopamine and NE. But the thing is SSRIs also tend to blunt you emotionally and sexually through 5HT2A so that is another reason. Some people don’t react well to serotonin based drugs. I’m like that too. Probably not feminine properties. Others do well on them.

You aren’t alone. I didn’t have luck in college and still don’t in grad school. Its also tough to make friends with girls too for me. Are you an engineering major by any chance?

I think the age range you gave is too high plus snap is dying now. Insta yea but not snap And its more weighted to below 25. Ive spoken to 26+ girls who don’t bother with social media as much

And I’m here sitting and wondering how the hell to even get a damn date from these apps. Only ever gotten 1 out of luck which was shitty anyways. Girls stop replying all the time or never reply. And I swear it feels like a total crapshoot when you try to hit on them on these apps many just stop replying right then and there but on the other hand you also need to take it away from boring smalltalk. So confusing the timing and everything its like a guessing game whether to do boring strategy vs ri…

Oh well don’t compare anyways. Its tough though probably even more when you are in that environment At least you had some luck. Theres guys in college who never get laid at all. Im Asian and have a bunch of Indian and Asian guy friends and myself included who are like this. So you are doing better than a bunch of people. And at 25 now in grad school I pretty much am not even going for hookups cuz I know I just don’t have that personality to attract girls for that. So just going for gf at this po…

As an Indian guy tbh you can’t compare to what I presume are your white frat bros. Its harder for you that is a fact so don’t compare.

So theoretically then there is a nonzero probability you will remain a virgin even doing all that just due to chance/bad luck. Or without a gf because at some point you can just pay to lose it if its reaaaaly bad luck

I just saw this. Any advice for someone who is out of college for 2 yrs, and in grad school? Is it worth it to get an insta and start adding people from before? Im in that sort of transitional generation where back early college there was FB and insta was there but it wasnt a big deal not having one. At 24-25 what is the general verdict? Im guessing for younger girls its more important but for my age and older not really? A girls attractiveness to me increases the less she cares about this kind …

Thanks, this is good to hear. Im the latter and I don’t know if its worth it trying to spend all my little precious free time curating IG. Does not seem like it according to your response.

Damn so it is quite important to get one then. I didn’t realize how important it was until now because I always saw things that said its kind of optional just do real life approach and stuff. Real life no girl I met has asked me for mine so far at least.

I guess im mostly worried about the popularity contest aspect tho tbh not the types of pics to post per se. That can be “faked” lol. But posting mundane or interesting pics doesnt matter if you aren’t popular it doesnt look attractive to girls regardless. The level of fake ness just goes up with consideration of status. Like ok I can try to satisfy looks for attractiveness maybe thats easier than status. Ive just never been super popular and inside I am ok with that, but others aren’t will show …

Oh ok I must be under the wrong impression then that you need to post model status pics, nice cars, hiking, etc all the time.

Still valuable to know anyways because people aren’t always rational. Its how advertisements work on TV. So knowing that you somehow percieve the IG pics as more “their real life” than the ones in the apps themselves even if that isn’t really the case is good to know. Tbh haha if I get one its just guna be fake. I like my more potato life the way it is but it seems girls want way more :(. They always say “dont do things for girls” but I gotta disagree there if you take that statement at 100.0% v…

Alright thanks. Although nowhere did I mention putting pics of cool dates on insta lol. I meant things in general not dates on insta.

I guess it makes sense except that a lot of IG pics are also staged too. People don’t post their mundane lives at work for example! Or if they do post more regular things its like on the story section but you don’t see that on the apps anyways.
/r/seduction22/01/19 07:29 PM

I see—but at least on dating apps anyways aren’t there the main pictures where you can see that?
/r/seduction22/01/19 07:21 PM

Im not convinced though that its just posting cool pics that gets girls all over you. I think there is undeniably a popularity factor to it. Im not sure if going on and just posting cool stuff is enough because I don’t know how to get the popularity factor up especially after college. Hence I don’t know but I presume not having one at all better than having one that has few likes, followers etc? Also, I don’t have any reason to get one other than girls period.
/r/seduction22/01/19 07:03 PM

Hmm but the way I always saw it, it wasn’t the actual activity or whatever you were doing that made you “attractive”. Like thats different and its why I do like “Tinder pics” over Instagram in that sense. For clarity— Person A who does not have many followers or likes etc posting himself surfing Vs. Person B posting himself modeling at a mundane place, but has lots of likes/followers etx Now of course some girls will still like Person A but just for the sake of this point I had to use an extreme…

What if she has a couple girl- friends in the class? How do you approach her and get number etc? Im in this kind of situation but idk what to do. I have talked to her but its too nervewracking to ask for number in front of her friends who sit with her and get rejected. Cannot find her on social media either. I don’t even have any clearcut IOIs yet besides that she smiled and made eye contact when I did approach her the first time. But that doesn’t mean much at all.

Idk about this. I take a while to respond back on apps but it can also cause the girl to lose interest in my experience. Ive gotten more replies back (eventually still ghosted though) when I replied faster.

I feel like in front of friends its easier than in front of others you dont know lol

Agreed. People say “be yourself” but if just getting laid is the goal then it doesn’t seem to work. Especially with online dating now you really have to “fake it up”. Its like a resume where you list that you have all these skills but in reality just ‘hiked’ 1 or 2 times and did rock climbing like 0.5 times (🤣) then put it on as if thats who you are. And then theres the whole racial issue where being Asian makes it already ridiculously hard. Its so frustrating being an Asian male in the Bay Area…

Out of curiosity then what do you suggest for him? Ok blaming women isn’t right fine but after doing everything he claims to do and still not succeed with even emotionally connecting what do you suggest? (Assume judt for this he doesn’t just want sex) Just forget about women and focus on other things?

The problem is all of those things you mention in that last paragraph are not a high bar at all. There are people like OP who surpass it but dont get laid and then theres also people who don’t have any of it and still get laid. Its ridiculous. I am Asian and I can have all the things you mentioned in that paragraph and it will still be fucked. Some study (forgot where) said we need to make $100-200K+ more just for girls attraction.

Im 24 and also in the same position. My lack of exp worries me too. I know people say the right girl wont care but I want someone who is good looking. Im concerned that once I include that standard plus having the "right girl wont care" that my options get exponentially limited. I would rather be single than be with a girl who isnt good looking.

I think that is the issue for me then. I don't go for random girls at clubs/bar/place X. Or basically don't go for people whom I won't see again. So probably that is why I have this different attitude. I don't think I would have this as much in those other situations. My main go tos are classes, clubs (the activity at school kind), etc. Even at a club (now again referring to the dance/party kind), I may dance with a girl but I won't talk to her at all. And when I go to the bar I just go to drink…

There isn't always an appropriateness to flirt. But regardless you can't always go by IOIs so if you ask her out and then get rejected, how can you still stay friends?! These 2 times ive tried I have not been able to even though I personally have nothing against it the girl kind of distances herself. I don't have many female friends so it sucks that it does feel mutually exclusive for me. Honestly I haven't tried the friends first approach. I have just been going by the general principle that it…

What I worry about though sometimes is if they reject you then its tough to be friends with them. I don't have many female friends in the first place and I rarely meet girls (engineering major), so I need to make the decision of "do I go for her or just try to be friendly." It feels like if I do the latter, at least I have a higher chance of still staying friends. Of course at a bar/club I wouldnt care about just being friends, but that environment isn't my type of place really besides just drin…

There are, but you lower the options significantly if you restrict yourself like that. Im fine with playing this game for now though. If in more than a few years its too hard then ill just move countries I think where it suits my personality better. I just feel like the whole "be yourself" contradicts this, if its not your style. Its not like I don't want to do it, but by doing that then by definition, I am not being myself.

This is not really true since T != sex drive You are forgetting about the zillions of other neurotransmitters and hormones or whatever else that controls it. GABA, dopamine, noradrenaline, cortisol, serotonin, and more all are far more important than Testosterone. This is a total myth that high T = high sex drive. Its actually less important than those factors.

I did read through it. Well then what are you saying besides try to post pictures of you doing cool things on Insta or snapchat? Snapchat I am more ok with so I won't focus on that one. I have one but I don't use it very much. Its just not in my personality to constantly take pictures. You sre saying to use Insta as part of the seduction strategy. And then your last sentence says go try it out. So basically that implies if you don't have it to go make one. My comment talks about all the other cr…

I don't like this. Instagram has been rated basically the most toxic social media. Even snapchat is better. I don't recommend people make one if they don'f have it just for this. I never had one. I don't want to deal with "omg how many likes do I have," getting enough followers (post college especially), and constantly posting highlight reels. And comparing my pictures to other people. Wasting 1 hour taking the perfect pic and then some time with filters/editing. Or "pretending" to do something …

True, I'm not a programmer btw but still found this useful. Applies to the other STEM fields too. I guess what I was trying to get at is you know how some people say "Lift (or do hobby X) for yourself, not for women" type. But when your hobbies/field you are in is highly male dominated then its almost like you HAVE to find other things just to meet girls. But this is contradictory to that previous advice. You will have to force yourself to enjoy those other hobbies over time hopefully. What I me…

Well I sort of did bring up the others. The stereotypical nerd would have to do things they don't normally do like lift, do other 'cool' hobbies, etc. I guess they can try the first thing which is to hang around more women and talk, but I think from what I understand the other hobbies and stuff is what helps you be able to socialize topic wise and better. Im saying there are some people, not just nerds, who just don't enjoy things like lifting/exercise (lets be real--its generally pretty boring)…

Lets say its true that these programmers are nerds though. They may not enjoy lifting, socializing, etc that much. According to you the only solution then is moving out of the country.
