Lonely doesn’t mean gf is the only solution and without developing the social skills thats like trying to swim before you can walk. Going by your username, maybe the boredom or disinterest you experience with socializing is related to Aspergers though and it would be good to see a psychologist who deals with that if you aren’t already. Because taking an interest in people and their experiences is needed even to make regular friends

Then don’t bother, ask yourself if you seriously want to date or if you are just wanting to for societal norms. It sounds like the latter if you really don’t feel the inner desire to socialize at all. Some people are perfectly content alone doing their own thing and thats fine

This is true but the issue is in order for it to help much you have to be close with the girl (not just acquaintances or minor friends) and while I have tried I usually have gotten ghosted before that point. Its much harder to be close friends with a girl than a guy if you’re a straight guy. Plus women are often wary anyways about you talking to them to get in their pants- this factor is always there. How do you get past this? I don’t have many female friends (studied engineering and im in my la…

I wasn’t thinking about after inviting her over when “hang out” was mentioned. I assumed it meant hang out alone one on one outside somewhere, in which case it could just be a friend thing. But if you then invite her over I guess its more acceptable

But this could also activate a girl’s creep detector if its not done right so... What do you do then? I have heard girls talk about how creepy it can be if a guy escalates like that and it was just a platonic hang out in her mind.

I see it mentioned a bunch in general on the internet including here. What isn’t mentioned as much though is how actually to do it. Especially with female friends when they can be wary and have walls up even as friends. I try to talk to them as if they were guys but I still notice this factor. Obviously there are good reasons for it but it still makes it more difficult

I feel like if you are inexperienced with girls in general, including also not having many female friends, then this isn’t bad. The way I see it worry about the friendzone stuff only once it comes up a few times repeatedly. Plus if you don’t have many female friends then ‘real’ friendzone (not the fake PC kind to soften the blow) could help

I think what you said in the end is spot on. It seems like you have been avoiding developing new friendships in general. Your problem with girls will undoubtedly get better after solving this, even if there is still some anxiety. The good news is it seems like since you are normal this seems like a functional issue rather than an inherent one and you can leverage neuroplasticity to your advantage and essentially train yourself to be like that with others. Maybe join some social anxiety therapy g…

How is it talking to your guy friends and other new guys you meet? Because its one thing if its lacking in general or just with girls. From what you describe it seems unlikely to be just with girls if its this bad
/r/seduction05/10/20 06:11 AM

Social circle though is pretty circumstantial and difficult to get the foundation for it, if you didn’t really develop it back in college. Yea there are meetups and things but its also sort of hit or miss post college. It may be easier afterwards for the reasons you mentioned but even still there are some risks like a possible falling out/awkwardnes if you ask some girl out and it doesn’t work out. Still probably the best method out of the 3 but it is also easier said than done. But thats the ca…

I absolutely hate how people assume that virgins don’t have social skills

It could creep the girl out though, if she thinks you are just friends hanging out and not on a date beforehand. And then worst case she becomes uncomfortable and ghosts you. It can happen
/r/seduction14/06/20 03:23 PM

At the same time, then should you be working out and trying to build muscle even if you yourself aren’t even that into it and its boring as fuck to you? Lot of people say “do it for yourself” and to “self improve” but then also say to work out/build muscle when it comes to dating. There is a big contradiction here if you aren’t inherently drawn to the activity or if you don’t develop an interest. Then in that situation you have no reason to do it except for women. What to do then? Not to mention…

I’m not sure how one makes it clear its sex related without being creepy and in that case may as well say its a date so at least you don’t creep out another person or burn a friendship. But the example you give is with random girls. For a girl you meet in class, in a school club, at work, or through a friend doing that is very risky and not recommended. Better off either saying its a hang out and escalating anyways or just being clear its a date. Doing that kind of shit at work for example espec…
/r/seduction20/10/19 02:39 AM

I disagree because I have had hangouts with girls and then she has been taken which I didn’t know before or wasn’t romantically interested to begin with. And if you call it a date it makes intentions clear if you have hung out with her multiple times. If not multiple times and its the first time then yea. Don’t want to make that seem too formal.
/r/seduction19/10/19 11:54 PM

Well being sexually aggressive with girls you meet organically has a risk. Not all girls like to be hit on and if its work or class or some school club it can get very awkward in the future if its not received well. What do you do in these situations? why do so many people say be friendly first etc or is that more for those who have trouble interacting with girls to begin with?
/r/seduction11/09/19 02:13 PM

Well its mainly random girls I have more trouble holding a conversation. Where there is no basis for interaction. With the ones where there is (like in the 3 things I listed) I can hold one better but I find it very risky to try to flirt overtly. So then its hard to escalate beyond friendly. And I don’t have many opportunities to learn as there are just limited #s of women in these areas anyways itself that I would connect with within this area. So basically if I understand correctly, as a guy t…

Just get to know her a bit. If there is awkward silence its easy to deflect back to studying. Hit it off with her and maybe afterwards you can try to see if she is down to hang out (outside of studying). Its going to be hard to escalate imo here so you need to try to gauge of shes open to hanging outside of this I know what you mean by too afraid to assume things, especially since this is just studying. Some people tell me studying isn’t the greatest way as girls could just use you and not meet …

Yet so many relationships start at work https://www.hrreview.co.uk/hr-news/strategy-news/a-third-of-all-relationships-start-at-work/50545 As long as you aren’t creepy, pushy, and take rejection in its stride its fine. I don’t understand the don’t ask out girls from work (unless its excessive) cause these are thr girls you are more likely to have something in common with than some random girl at a club.
