Yes to this. Thanks for posting. I was an absolute wreck and one point and someone texted me to check in and it was amazing (although I barely knew it at the time). Not as dramatic as OP but another data point!

I also had bad confidence. Do some stuff that makes you feel more confided. Good workout before date. Get some new clothes. Groom up well and smell good. Make yourself “big” in private before going out. Get a pal to psych you up. Then just be real and authentic. If they aren’t into it then that’s probably how the best. Good luck. You got this.

Lolol this is so funny. Yeah you just gotta go. You actually want the first few to be not great fits… maybe even disasters. Just go with it. My first two were comically bad, and I’m grateful for that. Think of some things to have up your sleeve to talk about. It can be silly or semi serious.

I feel this. I wanted my divorce and an 8 months out and I am really struggling. I have had ups and downs during this time. I think the key thing (and the major problem for men in general) is keeping strong and regular social connections… to men and women. Our society has made this more difficult. I think finding like groups like some have said on here will help. Keep doing all that other self care stuff too! Hang in there… I’m trying to do the same.
