If you have hsv1 orally your chances of getting it on your dick or virtually 0%. You’re body already has antibodies so its a no factor. Same thing the other way around. That doesnt mean you cant get hsv2 though. In fact, the chances are the same. If it has been atleast 4-5 months since you ‘think’ you have been exposed, get an IgG blood test. If the antibodies are there then you got it. If not, then you’re fine.

Allegedly, she said shes never noticed anything in her mouth. She got tested after because she didnt think it was from her and the test pointed to her having it for an extended period of time. Could have been one of those unfortunate kids that got kissed by an aunt with an active sore... who knows

Its how I got it. Wasnt from a ‘crack whore’ either. Neither was she someone with bodies. Just a regular hottie in college. Out of everyone I slept with, she would be the last one I would think to give it to me. Overall, chances are relatively low but are there, and if you do get it I swear its not the end of the world. Its virtually impossible for me to transmit (significantly less than the way it was transmitted to me)

hsv1 is usually not spread through sex. His ex who had hsv2 could have been on antivirals and very meticulous about when to have sex... who knows. But to answer your question, its because the way the vagina is structured. Lots of places for micro-tears in the tissues/skin to occur. Those microtears is what the virus is ‘worked’ into

Good response... Do you know if you have type 1 or 2? Would like to additionally point out that you might have misunderstood your doctor on the transmission part. Herpes does a thing called asymptomatic shedding where the virus is present on the skin but no symptoms are visible. Its unfortunately how a large sum of herpes cases are passed on. My girl said she never had an outbreak in her life.. Whether she was telling the truth is something I will never know for sure but I couldnt care less.

Theres two types of herpes and both types can be either present orally or genitally. Type 1 prefers the mouth but is now responsible for 40% of genital herpes cases. This is what I have and I kind of lucked out. I can have condomless sex for months and still not pass it on because the transmission rates for genital type 1 is so low. Type 2 prefers the genitals but can also go to the mouth( pretty rare ). Type 2 genital is in fact worst case scenario but still very manageable by all means.

Yes. I didnt mean to imply that the person next you most likely has herpes. Just the fact that its so much more common then people think. The most common herpes type, HSV-1, is asymptomatic for the majority of carriers. This is a problem because its the type&region that has the highest transmission rates has the lowest stigma(“just cold sores”) is responsible for 40% of genital herpes cases.
