Courting has nothing to do with giving your wealth away. Most relationships made by responsible adults are based on joint equal finances (or somewhat proportional to their respective level of income). You are projecting what you seek in a man as his innate duty, which it isn't. Not since women entered the workforce.

Being concerned about money is fair, being entitled to the full extent of your partner income is not. At the end of the day what you should be caring about is if that man (who you should hopefully like also for looks and personality) can afford the lifestyle that you already provide for yourself and potentially afford children.
