Earlier feminism was about swinging society back to the middle with the goal of balancing things out. When there is no choice, people are happier.I find it interesting that the OP decided to relate this TED talk to marriage. While it applies to that situation, i think that the overarching theme of the entire talk is about how the lack of dedication to ANY decision leads us to unhappieness. It doesn't matter what the decision is (literally any situation that requires an individual to pick a preference can be inserted), what matters is the realization that WE make ourselves unhappy through the constant re-examination of our choices.
