Well technically, by law, in my country I was required to take action anyhow, no matter if I thought it was just a cry for help (which is what I thought considering the meds she took) or real suicide attempt.

I don't refer to movies when faced with real life situations, sorry.

I used to suffer from panic attacks myself. Thus why I first tried to comfort her and not run away like a coward, which is what her boyfriend did in the end (yes he probably saved himself tons of trouble but there is something called honor, soft nexting was the most honorable way to deal with it, he chose hard next, whatever)

I'll soft next; she did admit that she fucked up.

In retrospect it gets predictable. Turns out this one realized that at the end of the day she had more or less wittingly arranged for things to go there, and is going around telling her friends I saved her from her suicide "attempt".

Go home, you are drunk poindexter. As for being confronted, turns out I have enough real life social proof and influence to avoid most punches. You should try it some time Gotta love armchair red pillers suffering from verbal dysentery.

This is not a friend, she manipulated you in to coming over for her own selfish ends and escalated the drama (borderline personality disorder if I had to hazard a guess). Having studied psychology that was my hunch as well, BPD... If you stick with this person you will end up in a situation that causes a lifetime of regret. Yeah I think I'll avoid further drama; drama isn't something I need in my life right now.

Don't worry though, it was a 'cry for attention' type of deal because she asked you to call for the ambulance Indeed I knew that, I knew the meds and that she was unlikely to really OD on them. I tried to comfort her via text but meh in the end I was thinking "ok fine I'll call an ambulance" Stay away until she's out and then make a choice, pursue as a plate or too much trouble to be worth even that. Possibly too much trouble really.

I agree, I regularly sit and think of people in my life I could do without and ghost them; in retrospect I should have done the same with her.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
