absolutely. This is the one bit of info that needs to be considered; sure dick is plentiful. But a dick with a good human, or one that at least presented as one? So rare. They turn absuive and you stay because you think, i'd rather handle this than have to go back to being a less valued single woman dredging through 100s of men and remember how truly disappointing most men are. Let me hold out a little longer and hope this one works out...

i think tinder purely because it's the go to, and draws the largest pool of men - from average joes to high flyers to weirdos. Hinge has a smaller pool and is eh. Bumble is largely a joke.

can i be honest? The best men ive ever dated or had as friends were on the spectrum. They were the least decieving of any men Ive met, and treated me like I was Gods gift. we were also really compatible. At times, i almost want to write on my dating profile that I am specifically looking for men on the spectrum, but i can hardly do that. I just think I am most compatible with men on the spectrum because of how I am. The men i dated who werent, it never worked out. They lied, were deceptive, didn…

I agree. I don't mean to add to the stigma. Ive had my own struggles as well in the past and dont believe pushing mental illness = bad narratives. What I've unfortunately found is women frequently attend therapy to overcome abuse and PDs, and men dont because they believe they know better and would rather just keep dragging women through their mess and being unpaid therapists. Sure, both genders have outliers, but i rarely see men put in therapist roles and cleaning up after their partners. If th…

I was 21 and spent three years with a guy 20 yrs my senior. In hindsight, it's obvious he was a huge piece of s*** and no women his age would touch him. I am comforted knowing that now i am 27, living my best life having dated much better men, and he is 47 and still single. he hit me up recently and i let him know i havent lived in the country he met me in for 2 years and regardless have no interest in ever seeing him again. Lol. At 20, you think you know better. But i promise, you dont know any…

really common to see this. Had ex bf like this, point of contention was that at his heart, he was a misogynist. It kept slipping out every time gendered issues emerged in conversation. He put faith in some MGTOW and red pill logic and that was when i realised he fundamentally hated women, and there was no point in arguing because theyll dismiss anything that doesnt support their narrative.

well he says he has borderline personality disorder which very often presents the same as NPD and generally causes equivalent damage if they don't seek therapy, which i feel confident this man hasnt or otherwise he wouldnt be proudly displaying it for the benefit of looking like a TrOUblEd mAN. I had an ex with it for 3 years, at the end of it he tried to burn my belongings and trash my reputation. He was incredibly unstable and would call me saying he didnt want to be here anymore and was walki…

My mother used to partake in it 10 years ago believe it or not. As I got into my 20s and we got closer, we seemed to share enough with each other that she is now as close to FDS as she can be whilst still married to my dad. However, she has been pushing him to up his game and it's as much as I could hope for. I'm very glad she has a much better view of herself now and recognises the misogyny, instead of being self critical. I'm very glad and lucky I can share moments like this with her now :)

omg story time! Was at a christmas do today with family, and my old, almost toothless, ugly, 62 and still lives-and-depends-on-my-grandma uncle delivered the best ever FDS bomb. We were watching a video of my grandmothers brothers funeral, and he decides to pass comment on the bodies of the women he knew that attended the funeral all of whom are 50+. "You wouldnt recognise Lindsay would you, she used to be slim. Look how fat she's got" "Haha mind you, you wouldnt recognise Christine either She l…

It's also got to be, like you say, watching their own father's behaviour and expecting that behaviour is adeuqate in a different economy. We arent going to make your dinner every night if we are out working the same hours and get home same time - or even better later. I watched my mother earn more, work longer hours and still prepare every meal and do all the laundry and when I was of a certain age, i was told I had to contribute by helping her as my father sat on his LVM butt. I cant believe my…

I think much of this generation of young guys must have been raised with an underlying hatred of women. I can't work out why so many of them quietly despise women other than, as Ive said to men who of course disagree and become aggressive, this is the first generation of women who dont need to depend on men and the bums we'd have previously been forced to marry are now finding themselves perpetually alone. Women demand more because theyve upped their game, now men can't compete amd instead of as…

I'd love to know how he's got to that age without doing the self introspection a lot of us started doing at 18 years old. I definitely feel like a therapist a lot of the time in relationships and otherwise so I really have to be careful not to burden mysef with their **** I love how guys will match with professional women and then get angry when you ask about their work. Ive now realized if it isnt displayed he's 1) not in a professional job eg. shop assistant or 2) trying to avoid gold diggers …

Holy damn so agreed. I actually started thinking "maybe I DO like women" until I remembered how attracted I've been to guys before. Yeah I agree, it feels like the worst cross section of guys. A bar has and may yield more results.

wow thats excellent data. I definitely find most men, be it friends or past partners, operated from a very egocentric place - very ' i want a woman with x and y who does z" while they have little to offer, or not enoigh for someone with all of those things. A lot of "she made me feel really good" as opposed to "i really admired her strength".

thanks so much!! i was having a bad evening. It really should be noted that my dad always criticised me and put me down etc, and my mother accepted it and was very"give the man what he wants". Children need to learn their needs matter, and unfortunately it's been a hard road to feeling like what i feel matters!! Fortunately I have some great men as templates for good behaviour. I fan say my mother seemed to love that my exes behaviour was 'so much like your father, reminds me of him hehe'.... ki…
