Hey OP, our stories are a bit similar. Can read my post history for details. I think it really boils down to our own insecurities and the quality of the LTR we are in. Is the juice worth the squeeze? My girl did something similar where she kept seeing her ex, as he was dating her friend under the table. Same dilemma I face of self control (can they under stress maintain a boundary and have morals?) and character. In my case too, I wished my girl ended it for good when she broke up with her ex,.b…

I mean, I want to tell her I'm breaking up because of trust and the act itself which is nothing to be proud of for her. I get what you saying but she already knows I don't trust her completely after this and she ain't stupid either, she will know the reason why I walked. As for whether she AW or not, I do wish she can move on with herself, why the fuck would I want her to ruin herself for me? I know at this point her emotions are gonna be fucked either way. It's a 3 year LTR which she doesn't wa…

I'm mid twenties, honestly just left a bad taste in my mouth. If this girl simply would have been straight when I figured out and not attempt to act in front of me, I could have been easier on her. But she literally made the worse desicions upto that point.

Why not tell her it's because of her actions in the past? Sure it's HS, but it's like your credit report, once it's on there it's there be it good or bad. You are right, I'm invested deeply in this girl before I found out, even after I continued despite it not sitting right with me. I'm pretty stubborn so I'm not worried about hitting her up, my concerns lie with the fact I'll be shook and mentally fucked for ending things.

Sucks man, that behavior wouldn't have sit right with me either and chew at me. I can see the similarities. Once that image of her ruin, it's really hard to look at her like you used to. I hope you find peace man and are able to move on.

They were together when it happened, check my history for a break down. It could be I am taking this too seriously. Finding more a solution on how to deal with the aftermath.

I actually thought you had something but don't.

On the second chance, she messed up? Or was it the fact she moved on so quick? Hope it works out man, so far it seems one of two things, time and like you said finding another girl better than the first to fill the gaps.

17 isn't exactly an age you can call being a child. If her family didn't move this would have continued well into 18/19 years of age.

How you holding up man? Any regrets?

And yeah I might insecure, I accept that. For now my question is how can I break up and at least hit the ground running. I already know it's inevitable at this point.

The way it happened, was John and her friend were together, broke up, then John and my LTR got together, then broke up, then John went back to her friend, she then went back to John and they had this under the table thing. This was back in HS, the only way I can rationalize this was she was a stupid HSer.

It was actually the other way around. Her friend and ex broke up, she then dates him, then he goes back, then she goes back to him. For the longest time I didn't tell her this, was planning to break up at a better time (we had a strict covid lockdown). Eventually I just got tired and let it out. What gets me is how she lied to me about it in the present. I knew she was lying, so kept asking but she kept saying no, until she did confess when confronted.

Nope her friend didn't know and this was years ago. She herself knows how shameful it is (admits it). I have told her how wrong she is to lie to me and what she did. She accepts it but after the fact.

Before her I was single so I know how it sucks to be alone, but yeah man smh, I just fucking know I'll be ruined for a while, just want to ease that impact. Part of me selfishly would delay breaking up, and boost my SMV, once I get physique and lifts up, just break up and go traveling or something (hopefully covid is done by then too). But yeah, wouldn't want it this way, just the circumstances of it all, feel shit about both staying and leaving.

The only mistake she made in the present was lie to me about it and even gas light to me about it, I really did try to think of what I have, and that just makes it even more sad, things were great between us, 3 years man, and we get along amazingly together since day one. She does say it was a shameful period of hers, she just wanted to forget it ever happened. Right now, she is all the time apologetic about it, cries even for making me feel this way. Maybe it hurts a lot to me breaking up cause…

I did, and even after learning about it I didn't stop, kept it up. I would break up, the few times I was on the cusp of it, my body just went into survival mode, fast heart beating, no sleep, loss off hunger. Feel like an idiot for even having these feelings. She hurt me deeply in a way, and I just want to recover instead of wallowing this for months/years.

And if only this girl made the right choice back then, such short-sightness on her part, shame.

Cheating on her would be ironic, considering I broke up with her because she sort of cheated and enabled cheating herself. I have considered it, but karma is a bitch, me breaking up with her is in a sense her karma for her lack of character. Do I want to get cheated on at some point? Nope. And true for the rest, it's like almost as if I'm cutting off a piece of me, my rational mind isn't able to digest it despite the fact I know I won't be able to accept her.

Don't want any validation from her, or even asked any of the details. All I want is some thoughts on a situation that I am about to commit to.

I have read that, different way of thinking. I know what I want, if she hadn't done this I would just continue to lurk and work on my mission instead of posting my relationship trouble here.

Not impossible where I am from, don't mind marrying someone 18/19 either if it comes to it. I know man, it's because I had zero experience, while she had hers, and makes me insecure, fully aware of this. I unfortunately agree with you, need to sleep around but then this would mean ending it with this girl. spent 2 years with her and she's a great LTR. It's going to be hard decision as things become even more serious.

Marriage is the bedrock of civilization, yes it's harder than ever today but I realize the risks and challenges. I have been able to manage it extremely well these last 2 years and I am getting better by the day as I age. Thanks for the advice.

It's not using RP tactics, even before discovering TRP my way of thinking was like this. RP just pull all those thoughts into a more formal way.

Yes, I don't say anything, otherwise she would have dreams but not tell me anymore. Definitely has affected her subconscious. But at the same time, she told me how she started to see me and replace that other ex in her dreams. Yes I have, can do anything to her and she wouldn't bat an eye.

I agree, that's my way of thinking (man should always have more experience than the woman). I can dump her, these past few months I am mentally ready to do that. I just hesitate as it was something so long ago and she's proven she's a great LTR to me. At this point she has a lot more to lose than me, and it'll break her if I do dump her, much more than me. She is completely engrossed in my way of living and me.

She was 16, I remembered when I was 16, I did some stupid shit and was gullible and naive. Not defending her but just presenting facts.

Yes, trust your gut, before even I read her diary I was suspicious based on how she blew me the first day but was super shy and clueless about penetration. She tells me she does see him in her dreams often, every couple of months, where whenever she sees him, she runs away and started to see me instead. Based on my knowledge, she won't ever go back as she said she feels the shame and disgust for being used like that. And I believe her, she completely submits to me and I have unlocked her inner s…

For an LTR my requirements would be little to no sexual history. And it can be, but there was nothing else in her diary that would tell me otherwise and I know that's where she poured her thoughts out. Even with this BF, she told me she had one but trickle truthed me, so "I had a BF, but didn't do anything" -- half lies, half truths. So if there was a third, fourth guy, he would also exists to me already just not the entire picture.
