| 251 | Science.The way I understood biology in school was, you have two chromosomes each, but the prime purpose is that the one can account for errors of the other? I always viewed the Y as giving additional information to the X, thus giving a total of X+Y information, while X+X is just X amount of information, but with a redundancy for errors.
