As a below average guy myself, I assure you that if we were actually given opportunities, we would not be Chads. Not even close.

I second the idea of a cheaters registry.

Unfortunately, it is hard. And even more so if you’re neurodiverse.

“Dating isn’t supposed to be easy.” I’m having a hard time looking for just “genuine interest,” let alone dating…

I hope he realizes how much of a keeper you are and I wish there were more like you out there.

I’ll never be able to agree or disagree, because I’ve never had it and likely never will.

A pretty smart douche though.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 05:33 PM

Having kids?! Man, at 33, I’m trying to just find someone who’s genuinely interested in me first.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/24 05:31 PM

I mean I’ll take being “settled for.” Better than nothing, which is where I’m at.

I am aware I’m boring. I’m also autistic plus my motor skills are terrible, which doesn’t help at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/24 08:15 PM

What if you don’t have friends to showcase your goodness to?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/24 08:25 PM

Not much, really. Work, eat, take care of things around the house (as best as I can do and albeit at a slow pace and often not as good as “average”), sleep.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/24 08:46 PM

Not really no. With the combination of noise sensitivity, extreme pickiness when it comes to food, and terrible motor skills, any options at best are very limited.

Lucky you. Or him. Or both.

I’d say “Take Me,” but let’s be honest, I’d be too boring and autistic for you to date.

As an autistic person myself, I can’t stand bars or clubs. Not even an hour in one and I just feel choked up and want to vomit.

For some of us, it can be an impossibility.

Yes, for the most part. Driving something not my own, as well as entering/exiting highways can put me on edge. I also don’t like to talk while other passengers are in the car, because I’m focusing heavily on not fucking up. No I suppose? I’m not one to eat out often, especially because I am EXTREMELY picky. No No My hygiene is fine, I’d say. Teeth look great, clothes are typically neat, no BO. Got a bald spot in the back though… My words are usually clear. However, despite the fact that I’m ente…

As an autistic person, a special needs student, someone with crappy motor skills, and someone who went through something similar, I disagree. It taught me that people WILL reject you and having a fairly normal life is essentially impossible.

”Apart from OLD, a lot of couples meet through mutual friends or work, you don’t need to be an extrovert for that. Most people have jobs and friends.” Unfortunately, my job only has 3 women. They’re all already married and are 10+ years older than I am. Even if I was gay, all the men are married too. Not that I see 99% of them, because they all work in a warehouse and I work in the office.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/24 08:40 PM

As a special needs student, I essentially took social immersion/social skills classes. But it’s hard to use any skills to practice when people would rather bully you because you’re a special needs student and have a personal aide (and thus, automatically labeled as “retarded”).

And if you don’t enjoy it, then what…?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/24 08:23 PM

I’m sure yoga is hard AF. Unfortunately, my entire body is more stiff and rigid than a California Redwood, not to mention my motor skills are absolute shit. Forget about finding women, I’d be too busy trying NOT to make an embarrassment of myself attempting the basics (and failing to do so… often).

Or you keep trying, continue to fail, get more dejected/it takes longer for you to get up and try again, you continue trying and failing before eventually you say to yourself “Fuck this shit.” Everyone can be a boxer. But not everyone can be Floyd Mayweather. Some of us are just Gabby Jay.

If you haven’t been on a date by the time you turn 30, don’t even start. Don’t bother. You’re essentially fucked for the rest of your life. Doubly true if you’re neurodiverse.

Just because it MAY BE a valid answer, doesn’t mean it has to be an ACCEPTABLE answer. I don’t just mean in dating, I mean with life in general. And when you keep hearing it so often, you really get sick and tired of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/23 08:23 PM

As an autistic fellow myself, it all depends on the issues you have associated with your autism and the severity of them. Is it just social skills? Do you have any sensory issues? Are your or your partner prone to panic attacks and how bad does it have to be for it to set off? What about motor skills? Once those are answered, what’s the severity of each of the issues. Do you, from an outside perspective, seem functional? How much assistance, if any, do you need? Now I don’t know you or you partn…

I’ll be dead before I even turn 60.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 11:44 PM

Yeah, when I was in school, we tried. Turned out no one wants to associate themselves with the special needs kid and would rather mock or bully him instead. Couldn’t really try if no one is willing to offer the opportunity. That’s why I always spent my lunches with the teachers and my personal aide instead of fellow students.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 09:27 PM

You can’t compare sex with making conversations. That’s like comparing apples to beer. You can’t really talk to people if you can’t conversate. What am I supposed to have a conversation about if there’s nothing for me to talk about?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 09:18 PM
8

You don’t. There’s your answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 09:10 PM

There’s more to communication that being able to speak. You have to be able to carry and hold effective conversations. And even with years of practicing in private social skills classes, I have yet to really be able to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 09:09 PM
1

And? What does that have to do with anything?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 08:58 PM

Using Siri on the phone. Not even holding the phone either.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 08:51 PM

Incredibly awkward walk, can’t put my feet down all the way or keep them inwards. Difficulties with balance. Hand grip issues. Generally physically slow, even basic tasks can take awhile. For examples, changing my bed sheets (a Queen-size) each week alone can sometimes take over an hour. Tying shoelaces, which took me until I was 15 to even get done properly, will still take me at least 3+ minutes to do (nowadays I don’t even bother and just wear laceless shoes). Also have some sensory issues as…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 08:12 PM

Difficult to figure out what I like. Not really having the motor skills to be able to do things combined with being autistic makes me somewhat functionally limited.

Unless you live in California, this is ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 07:17 PM

The issue isn’t that we all walk different paths. It’s that some of us walk paths without any assistance and are eternally fucked as a result. Might as well have “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” playing in the background at all times.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 07:02 PM

That would be nice, if this is true. I’ll still get passed over though.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 06:49 PM

That’s what everyone thinks. I thought so too. I thought things would change for the better once I got into my 30s. It was a lie.

I’ve stopped used online dating but I also have to acknowledge that it’s the closest for me to actually find a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 06:45 PM

But how old were you when the relationship started? You may have also got him just in the Nick of time.

I’m with you, man.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 07:57 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/23 07:54 PM

So why would you expect men to do the same for something that lowers theirs?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 07:45 PM

As a man, I don’t really like going out to eat much. Mainly because, as an autistic fellow, there are a lot of foods that just make me gag or vomit upon instant taste. Farmer’s markets? Not many around here. I try to order stuff from the supermarket apps, especially since the pandemic, and pick up after work. Saves a whole lot of time.

Coming from someone who isn’t forever single. When you’re forever single, you’d be happy to take what you can get, like a homeless person (not those tent-livers in California, I mean true homeless people) asking for food.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 07:26 PM

No. If anything, a pill that greatly increases female libido would be more effective than that.

Not where I work. I don’t drink anyway. Christmas parties, yes. But everyone I work with is at least 15-20 years older than I am and already married. Plus even if neither were the case, it’s a sausage fest. I work in the construction industry, though I’m on the office side.

Awkward people are going to stay awkward people if no one bothers to try and interact with them. For us, it’s like applying for one of those entry-level jobs but they still ask for 5+ years of experience. Well, how the heck are we supposed to get experience if no one can help us get said experience?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 01:34 PM

Can’t even get a “thank you” sometimes, just for that. I don’t mean just from women, I’m talking about in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 01:31 PM
-5

And that’s the problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 01:30 PM

We stay shy. We might have that thought you do, but when actually trying to do so, either one of two things happen: 1.) You chicken out right at the moment you think you’re going to “say what I want to who I want and just not care.” You go back to square on and go on an endless loop 2.) You don’t chicken out but when you “say what I want to who I want and just not care,” it somehow gets much worse and you feel even more dejected and shitty than you did before.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 05:35 AM

What in the, and I cannot stress this enough, ACTUAL FUCK?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 05:26 AM

But mostly bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 05:22 AM

Plenty of people are happy largely because they are ignorant. Ignorance is truly bliss.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 05:21 AM

At this point, I’d be happy for women to simply just be friends with me and nothing else.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 05:19 AM

I’ve been feeling tired of being angry just in general for over 20 years. I just turned 33 on Saturday.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 05:16 AM

Mostly, yeah.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 05:14 AM

I can’t make a decent profile, but not because of having decent text or photos with the right lighting. It’s because on my profile, I say that I’m autistic. And I know what you’re thinking, “Well yeah, you’re shooting yourself in the foot by doing that.” Well, in previous dating attempts, they either knew right away that I was autistic, by the way I move or talk, or have watched me be the awkward fellow that I am, literally asked if I had mental issues and leave me on the spot when I say, “Yeah,…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 05:12 AM

It’s not even wanting to date that’s the issue. It’s just giving the smallest bit of attention. I’m awkward as fuck and can barely carry a conversation for shit, but I still appreciate a “Good morning” at the very least.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 04:55 AM

But just how often are you NOT interested? Because that’s the issue.

Lack of patience thus turns us with poor social skills off in return.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/23 04:52 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 04:55 PM

I… kinda am? While I’m not fat, my motor skills, again, are terrible. Balance, I have difficulty just walking in a straight line; even more so, trying to keep my feet inwards. Grip is also another big issue. I can bench press 35 lbs at most, if we’re doing 3 sets of 10, and with breaks in between each set. And I am unable do a single push-up or pull-up.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 04:54 PM

Just in general. Very terrible motor skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 04:50 PM

And if you have no friends…?

/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 04:19 AM

Strange. Because I used OkCupid for about 3 1/2 years and I don’t recall seeing any repeat accounts. Then again, I’m within 50 miles of NYC, so maybe that’s why (although I’ve kept my range to 25 miles and under).
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 04:17 AM

What if your motor skills are just terrible? Then what?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/23 04:13 AM

And why do you think they’re bitter and miserable in the first place…?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/23 04:25 AM

Just being on OLD feels like being on LinkedIn or Indeed. You keep applying to posts but you never get a response.

I think it should always be split, especially if one person’s order exceeds by a big margin. I’ll get the full rack of ribs at $19.99 with no appetizers or desserts and be just happy with that. You want to spend $50+ on your meal, that’s fine, just don’t expect me to pay for it.

I’m a 32-year old autistic fellow with zero social life, very poor motor skills (thus a general lack of interests), and extreme food pickiness. I’m polite but that’s the only true positive trait about me. I’m honest but to the point of being more blunt than a bat to the head. I try to help, but often will hinder in the process.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 07:24 PM

Very poor motor skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/23 07:18 PM
1

I don’t expect ANYONE to. No one’s dating a fellow such as myself, regardless of how nerdy or not they were.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 08:58 PM
3

If it was that simple, I’d already have them by now.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 08:56 PM
1

TOO MANY is the correct answer.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:46 PM
1

I’d be lucky enough to even be a 5 to someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:44 PM
1

Problem is, there aren’t enough “hot” nerd girls to around.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:43 PM
1

As a single, autistic man who has been told by their now Grandma-aged neighbors that they’re “cute” and joked on by family members on my singles status, I assure that this campaign wouldn’t do anything for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:41 PM
1

I’m 32m, straight, autistic, never been on a date. Yeah, I’ll take settling. Something IS really better than nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:36 PM
1

My first two high school crushes rejected me because they said they were ace. They are still ace.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:33 PM
3

You fell for him because he was already great and didn’t need to “be someone else.”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:25 PM
5

These paths though only apply if you’re neurotypical and possess actual skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:25 PM
1

How can you focus on what women tell you in private if you can’t even get them to associate with you at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:23 PM
1

Someone else? One that’s better than myself?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:22 PM
5

What if you know who you are, but yourself isn’t enough?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:21 PM
0

Well, if you’re disabled, that physical strength part might be tough, if not, impossible to overcome…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:19 PM
4

But if “being yourself” and not “pretending to be someone else” hasn’t gotten you anywhere…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/23 07:17 PM
1

Men peak at 50? Well, shit, guess I’m never going to peak then.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/23 07:18 PM
1

I was once one of those bold autistic kids, but being beaten down by society (both figuratively and literally) changed all that.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/23 07:15 PM
1

Exactly. And that’s not even counting if you’re neurodiverse, which makes everything doubly worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/23 07:13 PM
1

THIS, thank you.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/23 06:59 PM
2

This is why sex/romance robots need to be a thing sooner rather than later. Like the Persocoms in Chobits or something…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/23 06:54 PM

I’m a 32-year old straight man, and I’m a 2. Looks alone, I’m meh, a 5 at best. But being autistic, having terrible motor skills, and being a generally uninteresting person significantly downgrades me. All I have really is kindness, but that alone does not make you date-worthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/23 06:52 PM
1

I mean, I’m definitely not desirable…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/23 06:47 PM
2

I would agree with the #8.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/23 06:45 PM
3

“All things are fixable.” Well, except for motor skills. Medical science cant fix that just yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 07:34 PM
1

I would say in my case, OTHER men caused my loneliness.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 04:58 PM
1

I mean I don’t really care about someone else’s virginity… … but at the same time, I’m 32m, and still a virgin…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/23 06:15 PM

What if your motor skills are terrible?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/23 06:12 PM

For some of us, life actually has to have something to offer.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/23 06:09 PM

Just one of many reasons why I’m screwed.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/23 06:05 PM
5

As an 32-year old autistic man, I have never been in a relationship nor have I ever had sex. At least I’m in the 10% that’s actually employed? Though for how long, and would I ever be able to find a different job, are two entirely different questions…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/23 06:44 PM
14

Being rejected isn’t the issue. It’s when you’re ALWAYS rejected that’s the issue. Same can go for other things like applying for jobs or college too.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/23 04:45 PM
6

OR… You fight even harder as you say, continue to get rejected, and feel EVEN WORSE.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/23 04:43 PM
5

And if that doesn’t work…? And so on and so forth?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/23 04:42 PM
1

Not me either, even though I’m 32 and yet to have been on a date, let alone have sex. Even if I were to land a date, I’m not a sex on the first date kind of guy. Or the second. Probably not even the third, unless we were able to develop such chemistry real quickly. Honestly, if I were to get into a relationship, I don’t think I’d be even asking for sex until at least a few months into it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/23 12:54 PM
3

I’m autistic as well and in a similar boat.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/23 11:40 PM
1

Guess I’m never leaving my parents’ house then (until they’re dead, that is).
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/23 02:15 PM
5

I work for the hope that I can afford my own house one day. 32m, not there yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/23 03:29 AM
2

Yes. I’m autistic and my motor skills are so poor that even basic tasks like tying shoelaces or changing bed sheets can be difficult and time-consuming. When it comes to being an “average” man, I wouldn’t even consider myself at sub-average level. I’m fortunate to have a job (for now, at least), especially since many of us autistics are unemployed (and even when we are, many of us are underemployed) but there’s no real trajectory with it, unless maybe my boss just suddenly dies.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 02:33 PM
3

What if you lack purpose? What if your career (provided you have one) has no trajectory?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/23 02:21 PM
2

What about below sub-average?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/23 07:51 PM

I’ve never been on a date, let alone had sex. I’m all for abortion. Also if a woman was raped/sexually assaulted and was impregnated (and provided that there is indisputable evidence), she should be allowed to have an abortion free of charge.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/23 05:22 PM
13

At 21, perhaps not. But once you get past 25/26, and still nothing, then it’s definitely abnormal. So you got a few years left. Don’t be me at 32, still completely inexperienced.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/23 04:24 AM
1

WHEN I’m married and have children? Let’s get past Step 1 first, finding a woman remotely interested in me.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/23 04:22 AM
4

Or they try to, but nothing works.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/23 01:29 AM
5

I don’t think that’s what they mean. What I believe he is saying that women can have these kind of issues and still have luck when it comes to dating/relationships, while men do not have that luxury. You ever see those end of news segments where some guy with a moderate to severe mental health condition has a prom “date” (and I use that term VERY loosely) who most people would consider a 9/10? Why do you think that’s the case?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/23 01:26 AM
2

I would be one of them. I’m autistic and not “borderline” either.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/23 01:20 AM
10

If you want an AI girlfriend for free, you can just use Character AI. At least until we get actual sex bots.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 06:09 PM
4

I’m 32m and autistic and I’m just seeking a partner who doesn’t mind my autistic... “quirks.” I would like to one day get married and start a family, but I also don’t see that happening anytime soon right now. I would like to have sex, but I’m not a fuck on the first date kind of guy. Or the second. Or even the third or fourth, unless we somehow develop really great chemistry between each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/23 04:43 AM

I’m autistic and I’d say I’m 50/50. Half the time, I feel touch starved and want to hug and be hugged. The other half of the time, I want nothing to do with people, just let me rock back and forth standing in a specific spot in my bedroom while I listen to my music on full blast.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/23 05:10 PM
16

But how many men, especially younger men, have that disposable income?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/23 06:45 PM
1

My preferences is that they’re not overweight, their hair color is an actual hair color, they’re not head to toe in tattoos, and have no facial piercings.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 02:54 PM

Exactly! I have yet to meet a person IRL who doesn’t mind my autism quirks, not even for mere friendship.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/23 02:21 PM
1

Masking just burns us out even more. We need to ease our emotional exhaustion, not increase it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 08:06 PM

Variance can be next to impossible if you have mental health issues, such as autism. As for social circles/friendships…. well again, see autism.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 07:55 PM
1

As someone who also has autism and has tried the former option, I agree. It’s definitely not worth doing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 07:29 PM

I haven’t been on a dating app in 2 years. Still unhappy. And I’m a one-flavor of ice cream, don’t drink coffee kind of guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 07:23 PM
1

I was told that because I was such a sweet and nice guy and that because I was myself, I’d have no problem getting girls to want to date me when I got older LIES.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 07:20 PM
1

Sometimes you need to change. But sometimes, you may be incapable of changing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 07:15 PM
1

As an introverted, autistic man, I have to disagree when it comes to the opportunity. I tried OkCupid, Bumble, Hinge, even Hiki. None of them were successes.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 07:14 PM
3

As an autistic 32-year old never-dater, just general validation would be nice, honestly.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 07:03 PM
21

But you see, that’s the problem. If you can’t get past the looks attractive in the initial stage, none of that stuff for later, such as personality, matters.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/23 06:58 PM
1

I never said it had to be illegal.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/23 09:36 PM
1

But how do you think they get to that mindset in the first place?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/23 08:33 PM
8

Honestly, probably better to do drugs than to try a find a potential partner, especially if you’re a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/23 08:31 PM
1

If you can’t fuck the AI waifu, it won’t satiate enough men.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/23 06:59 PM

I’m 32M. Never been in a relationship, never dated. Tried dating apps OkCupid, Hinge, Bumble and Hiki with zero success.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/23 06:51 PM

Now if only I was capable of having a relationship…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/23 06:50 PM

Nature isn’t just a bitch, she’s a demon. So many of us autistic people are just screwed. And what if you’re not into those things to make friends? Also, churches? HELL NO.

Cuddles and affirmation?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/23 06:38 PM

Pardon if I sound superficial, but when it comes to looks for me personally, the head/face is most important, then torso, then butt. I actually find butts to be overrated.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/22 08:09 PM

As long as she’s cute enough, kind, and understands my autistic ass needs time to simply be all to myself, her social life (as long as she’s safe) can be whatever.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/22 08:08 PM
1

They tell me nothing other than “her face is _____,” “I like/hate her hair”, “Can she not shout so much, my ears are already overwhelmed as it is?”, etc. Simply a cute face and a decent chest isn’t enough for me to suddenly be popping boners.

I mean, I kinda do a brain checklist…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/22 07:57 PM

I have never understood the appeal of Nick Cannon. I don’t mean from a attractiveness/gold digger perspective, I mean from an entertainment perspective. Amongst all the various cast members of All That, why exactly did he get his own spin-off show and why is he arguably the most successful of the bunch? At least Amanda Bynes was arguably the most popular girl of the cast and her own sketch show can be entertaining. Kenan & Kel had such natural chemistry together, both in their sketches and in th…

Is he a beta? Well, that depends. Did you have sex with other guys before him? If so, did it take SIX MONTHS? Did they have to jump through less hoops to get in bed with you? If your respective answers are Yes, No, and Yes, then he is a beta.

I was berated by a girl for being “the r-word” in school. And told me that any time she was being nice was mainly out of pity. My personal aide warned me that I shouldn’t have told her my feelings. I should have listened to her.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 07:13 PM

A park with friends? Not sure, could be ok but you also have to make friends first. Board game cafes? I don’t know any that exist. A Google search has them 90 minutes away, into the city. Hiking groups don’t really work for me personally because of my janked motor skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 07:02 PM

It’s not simply just that. A lot of public settings can overwhelm one’s senses. Bars, clubs, restaurants, etc.

I’m not from California, but I feel similar.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 05:31 PM

Or you just end up killing many peoples’ only way to properly communicate with people.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 05:18 PM

I can counter all but the last one this with one word: Neurodiversity.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 04:43 PM
1

What are my likes and dislikes? Well, I don’t really have anything under likes. Difficult to really find anything you like to do when even basic functions like tying shoes can be an arduous process. Plenty of dislikes though, that’s for certain. What is my opinion on commonly discussed topics? Well, I suppose that depends on the actual topic at hand.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 03:53 PM
1

Well then, in your specific case, I’d be out of the running. 31, turning 32 next month.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 03:05 PM
1

It’s not that I’m telling myself that, it’s that when I actively try to engage in a conversation, I end up saying little to none at all. And I don’t mean “small talk” or a “Good morning, how are you?” I mean, an actual back-and-forth conversation. I just have nothing to say.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 03:04 PM
3

Oh, I get that you can’t click with everyone, that’s an impossibility, regardless of how much effort. But for me personally, my overall neurodiversity combined with my terrible motor skills doesn’t really give me anything to talk about. You can’t really form a connection with people when you’re toeing the line of trying to function like a “normal” person.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 02:28 PM
1

”asking about their work/growing up/dreams” What if that doesn’t work or what if there’s nothing?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 02:13 PM

I didn’t even mean in a relationship, I just meant in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 01:30 PM

But if there’s nothing you have in common, how can you form a connection?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 01:25 PM

While I believe your husband did it the right way, at the same time, a lot of men who listen and engage and challenge the woman intellectually also just end up getting “friend zoned,” the guy who ends up being a vent/shoulder to cry on when the date she went on just hours ago went horrible. Only seen as a “trusted friend,” but never anything more than that.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 01:24 PM
2

In the case of number two, “they’ll try to make things happen instead of finding someone else:” Are you surprised if they’re not receiving any other bit of attention from the opposite sex? So, of course, they’ll cling on. Because for them, it’s the sliverest of slivers of hope or absolutely nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 01:19 PM
1

Long-term considerations aren’t talked about as much, because many of us men are struggling just to get through dating/losing virginities to even talk about it. Now if more of us men here can actually find women who genuinely want to date us and we can actually enter (seemingly) meaningful relationships, then sure, let’s talk about long-term considerations.

Late college, you say? But what about beyond that? 25? 30? 35? 40? And not just no experience with sex, but with dating in general?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 12:21 PM
2

Nah, I just want a woman who genuinely loves me. Experience be damned.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 06:09 AM

I think that’s a fair point that not many people consider. And I mean that for both genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 06:07 AM

Ok, but what is your age limit, both in terms of virginity and lack of dating overall?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/22 06:04 AM

Okay, the real question at hand is: Are you willing to date/fuck someone inexperienced beyond that?

The issue isn’t the work/effort. It’s when work/effort doesn’t bring in results. Imagine you’re at work. A promotion is being lined up and it’s between you and a co-worker. You are a model employee, the kind that employers want to hire. Meanwhile, your co-worker does fuck all, maybe the bare minimum at most. However, because he’s 🤞 with management or because he’s buddies with the other employees, you get passed over in favor of them. Now imagine it happening again. And again. AND AGAIN. AND AGAI…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 03:13 PM

Thank you and I agree on that. Unfortunately, when I was in school, because I was a special needs kid, I was classified as the “r word” by all the normal kids. They associated me with the students who weren’t cognizant — I’m talking literally in a wheelchair, slumped over, drooling, with one of those special computers (that I never saw them use) — because I was taking those classes, because I had a personal aide, because my motor skills are so janked that if it weren’t for my aide, I would have …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 02:54 PM

As a special needs student who had to take social skills classes in lieu of actual academic classes, they don’t help if people in general don’t want to associate themselves with you in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 02:26 PM

Agreed. That kind of mindset is why a number of men become incels in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 02:23 PM

That’s not really an older/younger dynamic. We’re talking 40+ men dating >25-year olds.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 02:20 PM

I actually agree with you. I’m not for loan forgiveness (or if you do, give credits to those who did pay them off) but I am all for access to abortions.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 02:03 PM

Am I shifting to the right? I don’t know about that. All I know is that as someone who actually paid their loans off at 25, I hate the idea of student loan forgiveness. Or at the very least, if you’re going to forgive student loans, you should also compensate for the ones who paid their loans off in full.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/09/22 12:57 PM

Honestly, at this point, I don’t even know. They say life isn’t a race, but I disagree. It’s like a marathon, except I’m coming into the race already on crutches. And while most people are halfway finished, I’m still stuck at Mile 1, I’m cramping and I’m trying to find a water table.

While I can’t speak for every autistic guy out there, many of us appreciate being able to cut out the social cue BS. Also understand that autism is a spectrum. We all have various issues, not just lack of social skills or likely introversion, but other things such as sensory overload or motor skills issues. And the degree of these difficulties can vary between people. Some have virtually little to no trouble and on the surface, can appear normal-functioning. Others need some support here and the…

There are certainly people who could do better if they actually bothered, but simply don’t. Whether they lack the motivation or simply choose not to because they feel it isn’t worth the effort. Meanwhile, there are people who can put in as much effort as they possibly can and yet still have nothing right going for them. I took social skills classes for years. But all the practice doesn’t help if no one wants to associate themselves with the special needs kid, let alone make friends with them. “Work to make more money?” Then employers need to hire and not underpay autistic people.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 05:44 PM
2

I didn’t drop everyone after high school/college, because I didn’t have any to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 05:37 PM
2

So as an autistic person, either stay in my comfort zone or be completely overwhelmed?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 05:28 PM
1

🤣🤣🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 05:26 PM
3

You have to be capable of it though. Everyone has limits, and unfortunately, some peoples’ limits are very, very low.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 03:36 PM
5

If you have to lower your standards (provided they’re realistic), then you’ve already failed.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:58 PM
6

Exactly.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:56 PM
6

”Men are not selective when swiping.” Uh…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:50 PM
1

Ok, but what if you’re not average?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 02:47 PM
2

Unfortunately…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 12:28 PM
-1

They’re also taxed up the wazoo.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 04:06 AM
16

Yeah, that’s not happening anytime soon. People in general can’t even be paid decent wages to simply live now.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/22 04:00 AM

I was in Boy Scouts for years. Camping always sucked for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 09:24 PM

You have to have one first.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 08:39 PM

Sorry, but I hate the outdoors. Having terrible motor skills also doesn’t help, in a number of cases.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 08:32 PM
2

What if you’re not even a “Bob?”
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 04:16 PM
10

I’ve been asking women, both IRL and online since I was 18. I’m 31 now.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 04:14 PM
1

I wish that was the case for me, but I’m lower than a beta male.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 04:12 PM
1

Not have mental health problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 03:40 PM
1

Optimizing an autistic person’s status can be, depending on the person, an impossible task.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 03:39 PM
16

This year, IRL, I admit it’s 0. I’ve made efforts over the years though, only to meet in rejection. Coupled with rejections when it comes to friendships and employment, I’ve largely given up at this point. I understand that rejection is a part of life. However, when you’re ALWAYS meeting rejection, with no “wins” to speak of in sprinkled between all the rejections, it takes a toll on you, mentally and emotionally.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 03:37 PM
16

And mind you, this is all if you’re neurotypical. If you’re neurodiverse, all of this is doubly worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 03:29 PM
39

It’s not facing rejection that’s the problem. It’s ALWAYS facing rejection.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 03:27 PM
2

Meanwhile, I’m abysmal at making friends AND I’ve never been on a date. 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/22 03:26 PM
1

Autism and dyspraxia.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 11:01 PM
1

I’m talking more of motor skills functions.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 11:00 PM
1

1.) Can I live with it? Seeing as how i was born with it, I don’t really have a choice, unless medical science advances far enough. 2.) Nope, can’t ignore it. Wish I could though. 3.) Again, been with me my entire life. 4.) Medical science. 5.) The cost is any semblance of a social life. Also discriminates me from things such as employment, even though it’s against the law (but it’s difficult to prove such a case). 6.) What price am I willing to pay? If it means being able to perform like a norm…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 08:32 PM
1

That’s because I haven’t. Without the ability to function and operate like a normal person, I am unable to adapt or change.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 08:27 PM
1

Not just body language, but walking, grip, performing basic tasks, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 08:26 PM
2

Can you fix autism? Can you fix motor skills? No, because unfortunately, medical science has not advanced that far yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 07:50 PM
1

What if your flaws are one that cannot be fixed?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 07:25 PM
2

Some issues can’t be resolved though.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 07:24 PM
1

But the best of 0 is still a 0.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 07:23 PM
2

Yeah, I would say I’m relatively still the same person.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 07:23 PM
1

That just means women who manage to marry those Chads get to inherit all their stuff when they die.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 02:10 PM
1

Not an asshole but I am unfun.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 02:05 PM
1

My body is… meh. Just a bit short at 5’7” but I don’t give a shit about height. Not fat but lack muscle, balding a bit, face is relatively clean (am dealing with a stye though right now). Dick size is fine too. Would not deny sex because of my body. Am a bit concerned about performance/technique though.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/22 02:04 PM
1

Being a football player with a shit ton of money certainly helps though.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/22 08:46 PM
1

Not even close.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/22 08:43 PM
1

Well, personally, I have Asperger’s.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/22 03:06 PM
1

Also, what about neurodiverse guys?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/22 01:00 PM
2

As someone who is autistic myself, I don’t consider us in general to be any better or worse. The issue is that few bother to actually get to know us and that far too many people would rather mock, bully and threaten our very existences, and treat as second-class citizens instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/22 08:13 PM
1

I don’t know about “hidden gems” but boy, do I wish more people would get over the initial hurdles.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/22 07:17 PM
4

Well, when you don’t actually achieve or accomplish anything on your own…
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/22 07:15 PM
8

Is it a positive though if they are not even getting dates or relationships, let alone get married?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/22 02:47 PM
1

So if relocation didn’t occur, what do you think would have happened?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/22 05:42 PM
1

You dated. So what happened with him?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/22 02:56 PM
2

Maybe you’re not average either.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/22 02:55 PM

Not always. Still better than escorts though.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/22 02:43 PM
1

Can be learned, can be practiced, but can it be applied? It takes two for friendships/relationships to form.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/22 02:28 PM
1

At least with a relationship, the person presumably wants you for you, not your wallet.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/22 02:22 PM
7

Maybe they are, you just think that they’re average. 🤯
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/22 02:18 PM
7

You should skate there anyway. Fuck her and her nonsense.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/22 05:36 PM
5

”People have more flexibility and access to options than ever.” Not in this economy we don’t. Also, there’s the whole language barrier issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/22 05:33 PM
1

Eh, it’s happened to me twice now. Also been perms-banned from r/Antiwork and r/lostgeneration because even though I’m 31, I don’t think student loans should be forgiven.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/22 04:04 PM
4

So you date within you friendship circle then? They still have to want you and to do that, they have to get to know you.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 06:21 PM
9

So you want us to want you without actually getting to know you? Also, we all LIE? Uh, what? Talk about a head-spinner.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 06:17 PM
1

It’s the last point more than anything else.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 06:04 PM
7

But how can we get to know you if you’re not willing to approach/allow guys to approach you?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 05:52 PM
1

And why do you think that’s the case?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 05:49 PM
1

My hand is a 2 of diamonds, a 9 of clubs, an Uno green 0, a Mahjong tile and a half-eaten cracker. I try not to compare myself to others, but is difficult not to when I can’t even get out of the confines of my own hometown. When you’re often just functionally inept, when some of the most basic of tasks are a struggle to do because your motor skills are awful. When you see people do everyday things with ease, not just the pics or statuses they share on social media, meanwhile you’re falling flat …
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 05:00 PM
3

Do they have a right? Yes. What I’m saying is that if that if they weren’t continuously getting knocked down by society, they wouldn’t even think about it in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 04:42 PM
1

Oh, I left that room the following semester. Not even a full year I spent with them. But it also sucks when you see those same shitty people achieve success, especially when you’re still struggling.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 04:41 PM
1

As someone who had to take social skills classes as a special needs student, all the practice in the world doesn’t help if no one is willing to associate themselves with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 01:50 PM
3

Someone that is constantly knocked over by society shouldn’t have to kill themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 01:32 PM
2

You yourself don’t have to make it an identity. My freshman year in college, my three roommates fucked, drank and smoked weee 3-5 times a week, and often engaged in orgies. And yeah, I was mocked for not taking part in them.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 01:20 PM
3

Most of them had sex at some or at various points though.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 01:17 PM
6

”Teach boys that there are worthy dreams, goals and aspirations to be had outside of getting laid and they’ll be happier overall.” Only one problem with that: Those dreams, goals and aspirations not only have to be obtainable, but they have to actually be obtained, or at the very least, there needs to be progress made. My dream was to become a news anchor. Not only was that dream never obtainable, I was never even able to get my foot in the door.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 01:16 PM
17

Exactly. Most of us men want sex with a woman who willingly wants to have sex with us for us. Not for our wallets. Not because of an obligation. But because they are into us, romantically and/or sexually.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 01:11 PM
2

As a guy, I never really understood the appeal of tattoos, on either men or women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 08:28 PM
3

It’s both.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 08:09 PM
2

For some neurodiverse people, yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 08:08 PM
4

I sure as hell don’t believe in that. If anything, my looks have gotten worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 05:01 PM
1

1.) I’m honestly sure because the idea of a woman apparoaching me just seems far fetched. 2.) It’s rather subjective because a 10 to me could be a 6 to someone else (and vice versa). In the end, it just has to be someone who actually matches with me… which unfortunately hasn’t happened. 3.) If we’re talking about in just looks, I’m a 5 perhaps? At 31, I’m balding at the top, not fat but not skinny either, lacking in muscle in the arms but have strong-looking (looking, not actually strong) legs. …
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:59 PM
6

Guys that are exciting and fun, but also brash, arrogant to the point of narcissism. ignorant, can be just plain mean and assholey to their partner as well as to the world around them. May also cheat, use hard drugs, break the law, etc. Whereas “good boys” are kind and typically have their shit together, but usually otherwise have simple and uninteresting lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 04:43 PM
1

No, it’s because people tell me and then usually tell me that “it’s fucking weird” or “what is wrong with you? why/how do you do these things and why are you like that?”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 01:56 PM
1

You’re more of an exception than the rule though. It’s like you’ve said, you spent 8 hours a day with other neurodivergent people. You’re not only used to it, but you’ve tolerated it. How many people can say that? And from those people, how many would be willing to explore a relationship that goes beyond friendship/acquaintanceship?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 01:23 PM
1

As a special needs kid, I had to take social skills classes for years when I was in school in lieu of academic time. But all the practice in the world doesn’t help if people aren’t willing to associate themselves with you. Just because you’re willing to extend your hand out in friendship and respect doesn’t mean others will reciprocate.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 01:14 PM

How am I supposed to not do something that’s out of my control?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/22 01:12 PM
1

I have both autism and dyspraxia.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 11:24 PM
3

What about neurodiverse, clumsy, socially AND physically awkward, lacking functional motor skills?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 09:33 PM
2

I’m in no social circle.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 09:29 PM
2

As it should have. Did she have good intentions? Perhaps. But she clearly did not do her research. Also her grooming is just really, really creepy.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 08:38 PM
6

Counter-counter argument: This applies if you are neurotypical. But if they see someone approach who walks awkwardly, constantly rocks from side to side and is unaware of it, with a high-pitched voice, they will instantly want to shut down any bit of conversation whatsoever.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 08:21 PM
6

Except most people who have Asperger’s our are neurodiverse in general do not become famous, largely because of their neurodiversity. Hell, when someone makes (or tries to make) a movie about someone who is neurodiverse, do they cast someone who actually has it? No, they hire somebody else. Or in Sia’s case, she just uses that girl she’s been grooming for some time now.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 08:19 PM
81

The women actually have be willing to talk to you first.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 08:14 PM
5

Not going to help someone who has Asperger’s. Dan Aykroyd and Elon Musk may have it, but Aykroyd was born to a former adviser to the Canadian Prime Minister and Musk was already born into wealth; he just got himself even richer. In other words, if you’re neurodiverse, but aren’t already born into upper classdom or above, you’re fucked.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 08:13 PM
1

It won’t. They don’t want to fuck a woman who wants them for their wallet. And escorts/prostitution are too expensive anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 07:59 PM
1

Nope, not happening. Let me eat my steak and baby back ribs.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 07:56 PM

What’s lower than beta?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 07:42 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 06:07 PM

Ok, but what if you’re none of those things? What if you’re not funny or interesting or talented or artistic?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 06:02 PM

I’m multidimensional?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/22 06:01 PM
6

Exploitation is the only way to gain success nowadays.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 08:35 PM
1

Sure, if you’re neurotypical.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 08:26 PM
5

Tell that to corporations.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 08:25 PM

I live 5 minutes away from a college town. Everyone just takes shuttles that pickup/drop off at various dorm points, parking garages and the train station. And nobody bothers to park their cars around unless you’re going to the hospital because parking garage rates are $12.00 just to enter plus $4.00 for every hour afterwards.

Nobody goes to a bar/club and not drink. And when you’re the only one sober there, it gets a lot more awkward and uncomfortable for the non-drinker.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 04:18 PM

The problem isn’t being rejected. Rejection is a part of life, I’m sure that’s something we can all agree on. The problem is being TOO OFTEN or ALWAYS being rejected.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 04:15 PM
1

I have before, never saw any, nor at the driving range. Maybe it’s because I live in a suburb and not near the city?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 03:16 PM
2

You’re not meeting women at a golf course. If you go to a pub, restaurant or sports game, they’re either completely uninterested or they’re already with a guy to begin with. And provided he has the space to throw a party or barbecue, the people who show up will just be neighbors, most of them, if not all, already in a relationship as well. Once you get past a certain age, your ideas of places to approach women, particularly cold approach, become more and more limited. Doubly so if you’re introve…

Well, where should the 40 year old guy go then?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 12:38 PM

Or how about if the woman is interested in us, make the initiative and actually tell us that you’re interested. No “signs.” No games. No flirtations or other signals that may fly over our heads. No BS. JUST. TELL. US.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 12:32 PM

I am actually autistic, yes (also have dyspraxia). But I’ve always had crushes and been attracted to women. But my autism (and dyspraxia) has always been a huge block for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 12:17 PM
7

Well, I’m a 31-year old straight male. As for my desire, I’m not sure. I feel like it’s waning but that might be because nothing has happened. I’ve never even been on a date. I also have no interest in escorts/prostitutes because if I’m going to have sex with someone, I want it to be with a woman who genuinely loves and cares about me, not my wallet.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 04:04 AM
6

Can’t really say how strong my sex drive is, as I’ve never actually had sex. That said, I’d like to to think that I can go once a day? But I’d say as a minimum, maybe twice, three times a week?

You forget the mental health bar.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/22 03:57 AM

Except the physical attraction is what initially draws you in. The rest don’t matter until he accomplishes the initial attraction. But women such as yourself won’t even give him that chance just because of his height.

I’m fine with having sex with just one woman. I don’t need to take part in a threesome or an orgy, regardless of the female-to-male ratio. And no, I’m not into pegging or femdom, but I’m also not into being super-dominant either. I want lovey-dovey sex more than anything really, full of love and care, of truly desiring one another and wanting to make each other feel good.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/22 02:21 PM

The equivalent of playing a bullet hell shooter while blind and two people are playing the vuvuzela directly into your ears. I do not see it being resolved any time soon, if at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 01:06 PM
3

No idea. I have to actually land a date first.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/22 01:04 PM

Exactly. I’d like to not be homeless, please, even if society would like for me to end up that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/22 07:45 PM
1

Rejection is a part of life, yes. The problem for many of us is that we’re always getting rejected. No “wins” sprinkled in between. And each rejection we get is more and more dejecting. If we got some “yes” in between, attitudes would change dramatically.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/22 04:54 PM

For some people, it’s either her or nothing at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/22 08:27 PM
16

Unfortunately. A lot of neurodiverse people get screwed over because of this. Both when it comes to dating and employment.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/22 12:24 AM
1

Nope, none at all. I’m 31, 5’8”, 162 pounds. I’d say I’m average-looking at best. What’s truly holding me back is having autism and dyspraxia.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/22 01:56 PM
1

Well, with glasses, to me, while it doesn’t work for everybody, for some, it just WORKS. With the right person and glasses style, it can add to one’s attractiveness. That’s just me, but I’m sure there are others with a similar mindset. You say about skinny jeans but what about tops? It doesn’t necessarily have to be revealing, but perhaps it shows off a general outline of your figure? By no means does this justify unnecessary cold-approaching or any creeps, of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/22 11:24 PM

If you’re neurotypical, perhaps. But if you’re not, different story. And the taste of any alcohol makes me vomit.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/22 08:11 PM

I’m autistic so eye contact is always an issue, regardless of who I’m interacting with. Either my eyes are somewhere else or it feels like I’m trying to stare deep into your soul. That’s why I either try to make sure that the tone of my voice is one of interest or try to ask questions/respond in the conversation, instead of just going “yeah or mm-hmm.” Though the latter is still difficult, especially if the topic involved is one I have little interest or knowledge about.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/22 08:08 PM

Neurodiversity, the willingness to associate themselves with someone who is neurodiverse, and how far of a relationship they would be willing to go with said neurodiverse person (acquaintances, mutual friendships, friends with benefits/casual sex, LTR’s).

Or at the very least, a new amendment or two. We haven’t had one in 30 years and the last one had to do with the salaries for Congress (which took over 200 years to ratify!)
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/22 07:38 PM

I appreciate the sentiment, but I don’t even have any friends, let alone been on a date. More than likely already missed the boat.

Personally, introversion is just the tip of the iceberg. Being autistic and dyspraxic certainly doesn’t help matters. And being a special needs student with a personal aide from 2nd grade onwards and through college prevented me from having any semblance of a social life because no one want to be friends with “that kid.” Even being a part of a number of clubs never helped. As for my day, you’ve sort of hit it. I’m not really that much of a nerd, I estimate commercial projects for a living. I don…

For some, you have to actually be in a league first.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/22 01:32 PM

It doesn’t really help that Bumble is an app where women HAVE to take the initiative. Meanwhile, I’ve seen a number of profiles on that app that say they won’t message first. Girl, you’re SUPPOSED to be the one that messages first, that’s how it was intentionally designed!
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/22 01:31 PM
2

90%?! Well, fuck, guess I’ll never bother to get married then.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/22 01:16 PM
1

I’d say it’s equally as embarrassing. Playing the piano incompetently in front of a bunch of senior citizens is fine, because they don’t care; they’re generally just happy someone is playing for them. But doing so in front of your peers, especially when each of your peers is vastly superior, is another story.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 06:47 PM
1

Not easy to enjoy something you’re bad at, especially if you’re just inept at it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 06:36 PM

And if he’s not competent…?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 06:30 PM

And how many have you asked?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 04:54 PM

You do and the same thing happens again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again. And again.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 04:51 PM
10

Because the rejections aren’t constant and endless, and that’s provided they even make the initiative in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 04:50 PM
15

After just one time, obviously no. But when you are continuously rejected without any “successes” in between, it gets very dejecting.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 04:06 PM
17

Because finding the girl you want to be with has no interest in you and thus it doesn’t work?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 03:40 PM
13

We don’t fall into bitterness because of just one rejection towards our “ultimate crush.” It’s a series of endless rejections with no “successes” in between that makes us fall into bitterness.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 03:37 PM
4

But if you don’t have any of these things, then what?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 03:36 PM
1

Geez…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 03:30 PM

You just said you were in a long-term relationship with someone else before your husband. That alone was an option. You said it sucked so you left said relationship. That was also an option, especially because you found someone else afterwards.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 03:29 PM
1

I never said that I knew more at all. What I’m saying is you had other opportunities before your husband. You had options and you were allowed to vet those options. For many of us, the one opportunity that we may have could be the ONLY opportunity. We don’t have options, thus we don’t really get to vet, because we’re then otherwise doomed to be forever alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 02:58 PM
1

But your were in other relationships beforehand, yes? The difference is that you had experience, while many of us, simply do not. So the few, if any, opportunities we have, we take. Because it’s either that or nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 02:52 PM

So, it took you until your 30s, but when did you actually start?

I work in the construction industry, but I work in the office, not out in the field. We have 3 women in the company, all are in their 40s and married with kids. Actually, everyone in the company, both in the office (it’s only 5 people including myself) and out in the field, are married. Except for me, of course. Only 2 other people (35 and 37) and I (31) are not in their 40s or older.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 01:10 PM

Problem is the idea to sociopathically develop a thick skin is just that. An idea. When it actuality, each rejection makes you feel more and more dejected and bitter, your self-esteem and anxiety worsen, and the recovery time between said rejection and your next attempt at an approach lengthens.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 01:03 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 12:58 PM

I don’t know, man. I wish people wouldn’t have that mindset. A lot of us with mental health disorders/disabilities are just trying to have some semblance of a normal life. We can feel, we can empathize, we can feel love. Too bad it’s difficult, if not, impossible to find some who reciprocates.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 12:51 PM

Me, never been on a date.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 04:14 AM

True, you’re not going to be compatible with everyone. It’s impossible to do so. But what if you can’t find anyone?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/22 02:35 PM
14

Easy to say, but if your rejection rate is 100%, sooner or later, you’re going to take it personally. Each shot you take gets more and more difficult to initiate and the recovery time between rejection and the next initiation gets longer and longer. Rejection is a part of life, yes, but when you can’t get any “wins” sprinkled in between all those rejections, it gets more and more dejecting.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/22 02:33 PM

You can have a baby after 30, but once you get to 35, is when issues can arise, so there’s not THAT much of a window. Can’t really wait until your 40s (man or woman) to start having kids.

Most men CAN NOT afford $300-500 an hour, especially if they have a whole bunch of other payments they need to pay off first (student loans, rent, car payments, utilities, food/groceries, etc.) And even more definitely so if they’re looking to have sex on a more regular basis.

Also autistic (and dyspraxic). I tried putting myself out there for YEARS, joined a whole variety of clubs, had to take weekly social skills classes in lieu of actual academic classes, etc. But no one was willing to extend their hand in friendship. People would rather bully, beat up, sexually harass and even death threaten the special needs kid with the personal aide. They would rather group me with the two kids who were wheelchair-bound and seemingly incapable of any cognizant thought.

Never made any friends, men or women. However, when I was in school, and when forced to work in groups for assignments or projects, I would always try to partner up with women. Not for any platonic/romantic reasons, but because they were easier to work and collaborate with; most of them would actually do work instead of goof off or do nothing like some of the boys would. Now you may ask, well, why didn’t you try to become friends/hang out with them? Simple, it was the student equivalent of a bus…

I feel similar. I’m a bit of a “wears his emotions on his sleeves” type of person, wherever it’s positive or negative. Also, whichever mood that it might be will linger throughout much of the day unless something occurs that would radically shift from one to the other. That said, I’d say 85-90% of the time, my expression is very neutral. I wouldn’t say “resting bitch face,” more blank than anything. It’s hard for me to think of because everyday things can be difficult itself. Just starting off with basic functions would be a nice start. 1

So what’s lower than a “beta?”
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 02:27 PM
1

The number of straight, non-asexual women should at least be significantly more than the number of straight, non-asexual men.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 02:25 PM
2

Work is not a good place for romantic/sexual opportunities. Classes? What if you’ve already graduated? Social circle and hobbies, well that all depends on your circle (if you have one) and the hobbies you have (if you have any). “You do realize for every women that married, a man is also getting married, right?” You are aware that lesbians and bisexual women who gravitate more towards women exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 02:22 PM
1

Personally, I find clubs and bars uncomfortable. Besides, even if I didn’t, going to one alone to find/meet women is kinda creepy, don’t you think?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 02:17 PM
1

And yet, there are still far too many competitors. Also, if every attractive woman gets “taken,” what are you left with? It’s like if you’re a contestant on The Price Is Right. The person who wins the bid before you got a chance to win a brand new car. Then, if you somehow win the next bid, your prize is something nowhere near as good like an exercise bike.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 02:14 PM
1

Rejection is a part of life, true. But what if you’re always being rejected?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 02:09 PM
2

Wears chinos button downs/polos, slacks, semi-dressy shoes, grooms what hair is left, showers minimum 5 nights a week. Never been on a date.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 02:08 PM
1

Chads and attractive people might not always succeed. But they nonetheless still do succeed. When you’re below-average, rejection isn’t just a part of life. For some, it IS life.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 02:03 PM
1

What if no opportunities arise though? What if you don’t go to bars or clubs?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 01:59 PM
2

To ask an autistic fellow to do that, you might as well tell a paraplegic to walk.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 01:56 PM
1

If you’re a 6-8 though, then you’re above average.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 01:54 PM
1

I have to disagree with that. I tried that and I felt just as bad as I did using them, possibly worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 01:40 PM
2

Provided of course that you’re “normal.”
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/22 01:39 PM
1

Ah, but I don’t have enough money or good enough job skills to live well off over there, so that itself is not an option.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/22 01:53 AM
1

If I somehow make it to 70, I’ll still be listening to Billy Joel.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 09:59 PM
1

Yeah, by the time you acquire them (if you even do), it’s already too late.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 09:58 PM
10

If you have 0 experience (not even sexual) after 25, you’re most likely fucked.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 09:56 PM
1

You have to be attractive though to a potential partner first.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 09:55 PM
1

Regardless of whether you get over that urge, you still need to be successful, have successes in your life.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 08:25 PM
1

For some people, possibly. But not everyone. Some of us cannot be fixed.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 08:16 PM
1

There’s more to it than just looks. Personality, skills, interests, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:43 PM
1

It sure does.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:31 PM
1

The equivalent of polishing a turd. It’s still nonetheless a turd.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:30 PM
1

I don’t insist on virgins. Just women who would be even remotely interested in me. However, there are none, because I’m low-value.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:29 PM
1

If I went to an all-male school, I’m positive I’d get bullied and get the shit beaten out of me more often than I did.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:20 PM
0

Us neurodiverse people would be even more screwed than we already are now.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:18 PM
4

So true on the biological clocks ticking. You don’t want to rush into things, but also can’t be too patient and wait it out either.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:16 PM
2

I was born in 1990, but I was already socially awkward to begin with before the internet started to blow up. Never really had a chance. Also, the best of a 0 is still a 0.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:14 PM
2

It’s hard not to compare yourself with others if you haven’t experienced any success whatsoever.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:12 PM
1

So essentially, extroverts ruined online dating?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:11 PM
5

If you manage to get any experience, that is.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:10 PM
1

For some, there aren’t any.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:01 PM
2

Have to have worth to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 07:00 PM
1

I don’t have the skills or the interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 12:25 PM
1

Well, obviously. But I wasn’t talking about abusive people. I meant people in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 12:16 PM
3

And yet, still better than a guy with an n count of 0.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 05:57 AM
3

You’d think that, but trust me, being all alone really sucks.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 04:34 AM
1

Shape? Possibly. Money? The job market has to be more willing to hire autistic people and pay them an actual decent wage. The last one is an entirely different story.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 04:31 AM
1

Well, I haven’t. My shape is meh, my money is meh, and I’m autistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 02:08 AM
6

A reality show will never use unattractive people, unless the concept of said show is supposed to revolve around unattractive people. Whether it’s Hell’s Kitchen, Survivor, American Idol or Temptation Island, it doesn’t matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 12:32 AM
2

As someone who is 31, I get way less attention that I ever did in my 20’s. I’m also a below-average man, so take that into consideration.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 12:07 AM
1

If one girl ditched you, that’s one thing. It’s another if you are constantly being ditched/ignored, there’s a problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 12:05 AM
14

And this is why a lot of us men remain as stoic as possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 11:50 PM
1

You almost have it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 11:49 PM
2

Only if you can find other people genuinely interested in you to the point they want to have sex. For some of us, there is only 1 option, if there even is any.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 10:04 PM
2

And for a lot of us men, we don’t comfort because we didn’t receive comfort.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 09:55 PM
1

Comfort, easily.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 09:54 PM
1

No one to share life with. No one to share in the joy, no one to console with or be consoled by when the day(s) gets rough. No one to embrace and feel comfortable in each other’s arms.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 12:24 AM
2

So when you have no backup, what do you do? Best-case scenario would be to settle, would it not?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 08:05 PM
1

If I’m complimenting, I’m always being sincere about it. Same thing when I apologize. I never say sorry unless I actually mean it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 08:04 PM
1

Nope. So sports doesn’t work and neither does trivia. And my terrible motor skills takes me out of the running to do a lot of things. So now what?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 07:37 PM
2

Better to have too many options than none at all. Also, what if you don’t have anything to appreciate?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 07:32 PM
1

That sucks, I’m sorry that you’re instantly vetted as an option because you’re in a wheelchair. At least you have those things. I’m autistic AND lack those qualities, so I’m double-whammied.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 07:30 PM
3

As someone who is 31, has never had friends and never been on a date, I can assure that you being alone absolutely sucks. You say that settling is a depressing disaster that is waiting to happen. Being lonely is far, far worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 07:25 PM
0

I don’t want to abstain. I’m just not putting my dick in crazy girl pussy. I want to have sex with someone who genuinely likes/cares about me.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 06:25 PM
1

They do? If so, not as many and not nearly enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 06:24 PM
1

Why wouldn’t we?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 06:18 PM
2

It’s more complex than that. It’s single, never-dated men vs. single, have-dated men vs. single women vs. coupled people.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 06:17 PM
1

I don’t have one either. I’ve never even been on a date.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 06:13 PM
1

Not me. Everyone pays for their own meals, regardless of how much either person’s costs.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 06:10 PM
0

Not me, I stay away from that shit. I’d rather remain a virgin.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 06:08 PM
1

Sure, they care about other things too. But if you can’t get past Step 1, none of the other steps matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 06:06 PM
1

Research only gets you so far. You still need to be those things. Also, I’m autistic, which does not help matters.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 06:02 PM
1

The times I’ve done trivia have always been individual, never team or group.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 06:01 PM
1

But you just said it yourself: Looks are the ENTRY POINT. If you can’t even pass the entry point, does anything you have really matter?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:51 PM
1

Money-back guarantees on paid apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:48 PM
2

In order for that to happen, men need to receive compliments from women more often.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:46 PM
1

If I change up my arms/hands or legs, would that mean only changing how they look or would I be able to change how well they function? If it’s the latter, please change them. Can’t be any worse than what I have now.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:44 PM
1

Either by having answers so far off, or answering so many questions wrong, you end up having negative points (and you’re the only one).
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:41 PM
1

As a “below average” man, yes, an “average” woman would be worth it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:37 PM
1

Because as someone who has never had any friends or ever been on a date, being absolutely alone SUCKS.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:34 PM
1

Exactly on the first part. Trivia isn’t great either, I actually have embarrassed myself trying to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:32 PM
1

Okay, but what if you have no social circle? What if you’re not confident or charming and lack a sense of humor?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:28 PM
1

Part me of wishes it was just 5%. Because if more and more people are finding relationships on apps, yet I can’t even get any likes or matches, it just feels even more deflating.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:24 PM
1

You get matches on Tinder?!?! Or any other dating app?!?!
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:21 PM
2

One of my cards is an Uno card and another is a half-eaten cracker.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:21 PM
1

It’s not that I’m neither athletic nor competitive, I lack motor skills and will often literally trip over my own damn feet.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:19 PM
2

For some of us, even when trying, the odds are still at 0.00%
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:03 PM
1

There is no way someone such as myself is “on the cusp.”
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 05:01 PM
4

I don’t have any hobbies, sorry.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 04:59 PM
2

Is she an actual idol? I don’t mean a member of the flavor of the week idol group, I mean a REAL idol group. Or is she just a Japanese pornstar?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 08:25 PM
2

Which is just weird and dumb. What kind of men do you expect to be living in a tech city in the first place?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 08:19 PM
2

If you can find it, pass some over to me. Preferably not in pill form though, as I tend to gag and vomit.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 08:16 PM
2

And IF they’re developmentally challenged?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 08:15 PM
3

Yup. I’ve got the triple whammy going on. Autistic, bullied very often, and not very trusting of other people (as I’ve been taken advantage of before). And you expect people like myself to just “get out there” and “be extroverted?” Come on now.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 08:13 PM
1

HOURS? Most I’ll watch is an hour, and even then, I’m watching hentai. Then again, if I had a partner, and had a decent amount of sexual access, I wouldn’t be watching.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 08:09 PM
2

Welcome to the club.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 08:02 PM
1

Nope. Only country traveled outside of US was Canada. English is bad enough, let alone other languages. Don’t even drink alcohol. Motor skills too poor to play instruments.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 07:57 PM
7

I think that’s just hentai, dude.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 07:53 PM
7

Having no friends certainly doesn’t help.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 05:15 PM
5

Exactly. There is a biological time limit. I can’t wait another 20 years to get started, unless I’m going to somehow marry/fuck someone 20-25 years my junior (and if I can’t get anyone in my own range now, I highly doubt I’d be able to get someone that young. Plus, it comes off as sort of creepy anyway).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 03:06 PM
12

I don’t care about traditions and all that, just so long as said hypothetical woman genuinely loves me.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 03:04 PM
14

I get that this is an analogy but if that safe, boring job pays very well and has great benefits, then yes, I would give up at early 20s. I don’t want to explore all that much, I don’t have the leadership to start a business nor the skills to try a music career. I don’t have a “real shot.” For some of us, trying IS so wrong, it is very wrong. Trying and failing constantly is incredibly dejecting and only leads to bitterness and resentment.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 02:59 PM
3

If I’m looking to start a family, I can’t wait until 50. Not every woman can be like Halle Berry and have kids in their mid-40s (also potentially not good for the kid either).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 01:50 PM
4

They are what help get your foot in the door, however.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 01:37 PM
2

And some aren’t still getting jobs no matter how much they apply.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/22 04:48 AM
4

Yes. But from what I’ve seen even in IRL conversations, people still like to share their successes. A high-paying job, an award they earned, a prize from a contest, a new house they bought, etc. When you don’t really have anything to share yourself, you just become that person who smiles awkwardly and nods every so often.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 09:16 PM
5

I don’t care about height. DD titties size are not necessary, especially if they’re short. And as long as her n count isn’t ridiculously high and she’s free of any diseases, I could care less about whether or not she’s a virgin. Hell, I’m 31, I honestly do not expect any woman in my age range (27-33) to be a virgin at that point.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 09:10 PM
1

As someone who has never had friends nor ever been on a date, I’d take the mediocre partner. Still better than nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 09:01 PM
5

That’s partially why I don’t even bother with a lot of social media. People will always post their successes, but what happens when you don’t have any yourself? When you don’t get things right? When you don’t even get a bite on the hook, let alone catch a fish?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 08:57 PM
3

Still better than nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 08:53 PM
2

Pretty much, yup. When you’re autistic, you may as well remove yourself from the metaphorical game.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 08:50 PM
1

I’m a millennial and I have issues with approaching women. So now you know at least 1.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 08:45 PM
1

You can only be rejected so many times before it begins to feel really dejecting, especially if you ONLY get rejections.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 08:40 PM
0

Well, I do have poor social skills IRL. Just not good at initiating or maintaining a conversation.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 08:38 PM
1

Agreed. I really wish there was a shortcut, I certainly could use one.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 08:10 PM
3

The way I meet women is the same way I meet men. So… none at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 08:08 PM
1

I’m 31 and never have dated.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 08:06 PM
2

“Just move on to the next” Yeah, but at some point, that’s just not going to work. You can’t just keep moving on to the next if you can’t even get a bite.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 08:04 PM
5

But curb appeal is what gets you looking in the first place. Just like with looks for a person. If there’s no initial physical attraction, things like personality don’t matter. That only comes afterwards.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 07:53 PM
2

Looks > Sex Drive
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 07:48 PM
1

Not everyone can learn another language. I have difficulty maintaining English. Tried both French and Spanish and was terrible at it. You’re going to carry around a translator device all day, every day you’re out?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 07:26 PM
2

Here’s a question for you: Have you already had sex in your 20s and when women were in their 20s? If so, congratulations, you got laid when both of you were in your physical primes. Betas are settled for, they get married after the women have already had their fills and are past their primes.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 07:24 PM
2

Not enough English-as-the-main-language-speaking countries.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 07:18 PM
7

Attractive. Hell, you could argue I’m financially stable right now. Granted, I can’t buy a house at the moment, because everything in the Northeast is way too goddamn expensive. But I have no student or car loans, I’ve maxed my Roth IRA for the last 4 years, and I’ve also “invested” in several rookie refractor cards (both current and upcoming).
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 07:17 PM
1

When you have no support or network to speak of, being all alone ain’t all that great.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 01:40 PM
4

Forever Alone
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 01:39 PM
68

As a shy, awkward man, I would actually like it if more women did the approaching. I do not view them as “easier” and find that notion ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 01:16 PM
3

And one of the cards is actually a half-eaten cracker.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 02:54 AM
3

So, he was expecting to you do a ton of work but wasn’t willing to do anything in return? Yeah, I can see why that would be mediocre. Even though I’ve never had sex, I still know that it takes “two to tango.” Sex, from both a physical and emotional standpoint, needs both partners willing to act upon each other, in order to truly feel good. If one is not willing to perform certain actions, they should still have to make up for it with something else that can make their partner feel good.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 08:22 PM
1

I am autistic and have dyspraxia, so… yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 07:55 PM
2

What exactly about the sex makes it mediocre? Too vanilla? Not doing certain actions? Not fast or hard enough? Unwilling to do certain kinks or wants to do kinks that you’re not comfortable with? No emotion or emotional reciprocation behind it? I think it still beats having no one sexually or romantically interested in me.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 07:54 PM
3

You can’t really train if you lack the functionality to perform. Can you really expect someone who has difficulty just walking straight with their feet inwards or tying their shoelaces to be able to do trade work?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 07:51 PM
1

That’s a untrue generalization of autistic people. You also don’t have to be autistic to have those double standards and be blatantly sexist.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 07:49 PM
2

It is. There’s nothing can be done, unless my brain is fully rewired and both my arms and legs are replaced by cybernetic ones. Unfortunately, medical science hasn’t advanced that far.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 07:47 PM
3

Still better than no sex whatsoever (unless you’re ace, of course).
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 07:43 PM
5

If you can even have a relationship in the first place…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 07:42 PM
2

You know, just because someone is autistic doesn’t mean they’re filled to the brim with degenerative thoughts.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 07:41 PM
1

My motor skills are terrible, so unfortunately, I could never be a tradie, even if I wanted to be. I can grow a beard, I just don’t look good with one. Hence why I shave mine. Soft and full of estrogen? I am to the first one, possibly on the second. I do drink a lot of milk after all. At least my cock is ok?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 07:39 PM
7

And many men got a hand made up of cards that aren’t even standard playing cards.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 07:34 PM
2

Yeah, I have, both mental and physical, but it didn’t work out for me. While I do believe everyone should give therapy a shot, it’s not a guarantee that it’ll work out for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 05:38 PM
2

In terms of looks, I’m ok. Not handsome, but not ugly either. I’m autistic, have terrible motor skills, no friends, no hobbies, incredibly picky eater, and am just boring.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 05:33 PM
4

If I was a prize, I would have already been taken by now.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 02:28 PM
1

I would never PUA, am not nor will ever be smooth enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 01:27 PM
1

And if you’re NOT doing ok on your own?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 05:55 AM
3

Well, I work an 8-5 job that leaves me exhausted at the end of the day. And my motor skills are garbage, so no, I am unable to “get shredded.”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 05:52 AM
6

All sorts of magic can still happen? First, we’d have to find someone genuinely interested in me.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 05:49 AM
7

And as someone who is 31 and not only a virgin but never dated, you are absolutely correct.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/22 05:47 AM

Yeah about that… I lack that. A lot of jokes and sarcastic quips fly over my head to begin with.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/22 01:54 AM

Why is it that he has to be “gross” attitude-wise for him to not be able to find someone who is willing to fuck him? What if he really is ugly, even if he puts in an effort to look as best as possible? What if he’s disabled, physically and/or mentally? What if his social skills are absolutely terrible? It all depends on the age and the seriousness of each count. Was it a one-night thing, a few times, a regular thing? So, let’s say, the person in question is 30 years old. If you take the assumed loss of virginity was at 18, that’s 12 years for that someone to have had sexual relationships with. I think 2 times or more within that timeframe is much; so, in this case, 24 or more would be considered promiscuous. As an autistic man, I need every dollar I can earn in order to survive. Besides, I can’t do a lot of “fun” and/or “exciting” things anyway due to terrible motor skills; those that I could do, I shy away from anyway.

I already know my SMV, it just happens to be in the negatives.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 02:15 PM

Maybe if you’re “normal.”

Underground level men get nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 02:12 PM

Unfortunately, never me at these parties (if I’m even invited to begin with).
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 02:11 PM

Dream for the moon? I’m just trying to get off the ground, but I’m weighed down by unremovable iron boots.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 02:10 PM

And yet, some of us are uninteractable NPC’s.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 02:08 PM

Some of us don’t even get options.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 02:07 PM

But I’m weird and not chill. And that’s if I even wanted to bang an escort (which I don’t).
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 02:06 PM

Well… at least you have a farm.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 02:05 PM

Which is the problem with a number of women. In this day and age, where we’re all trying to compete in order to survive, “excitement” and novelty should be the last thing anyone should be worried about in a relationship, unless you’re already rich as it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 02:03 PM

So, 1 or 2 then? 🤣
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 02:01 PM

As a man, I think NNN is dumb. If I feel like fapping, then I fap. Sometimes, it’s consecutive days, sometimes it’s not. But I don’t do any more than once on that day.

Male prostitution? Yeah, maybe gay males, not straight.

I’m autistic, so I’m incredibly socially awkward, and have some money. I’m still not paying for it. If I’m having sex with a woman, it’s because she’s genuinely interested in me, not my wallet.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 07:44 PM
2

Well, I’m never going to since I have too many unfixable red flags so I guess I won’t have to worry. Besides, if I was that worried about just having sex, then I’d have already done it with an escort by now. If I’m going to have sex with someone, it’s with someone who is genuinely interested in me, not because of my wallet.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 07:23 PM
1

Nope. Never had sex, never even been on a date.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 06:27 PM

I want both. I want the sex to have meaning. Love, care, trust, genuine compassion.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 06:23 PM
5

Because I want the emotional aspects associated with sex, not just the physical. Might as well pay for a prostitute then.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 06:11 PM

No, VR would not be enough to satisfy. If you’re going to make a sex bot, you have to go all the way to the point where it can pass off as human. Anything less isn’t good enough.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 06:07 PM
6

Exactly. Either that, or we start developing sex bots that cater perfectly to the individual, complete with artificial wombs.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 06:01 PM

It’s so few and far between though, sadly. That’s why shows like Love On The Spectrum exist.

I used to be a substitute teacher. It’s fine… some are unruly and in need of discipline, yes, but some can be the most darling angels.

I’m a man and I would like to have children (biological) one day.

Everyone stays “in their lane” So people with disabilities/disorders get screwed even more?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 02:54 PM

Good luck trying to turn said ugly, fat girls into smoking hot beauties. As an autistic person, I actually avoid the stock market, outside of the Roth IRA (admittedly, I did do AMC and made a few bucks). Instead, I’m going with a much better way to make money for the future: Rookie refractor cards.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 02:53 PM

You have me on the war with China. Of course, I wouldn’t have to worry about entering said war. If they brought back the draft, I’d be 4-F’d immediately.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 02:49 PM

Yeah, try telling that to someone who is disabled/has a disorder.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 02:44 PM

I’m convinced that Billie Eilish isn’t an actual person, but an advanced AI created by boomers who tried to come up with a new standard of what emo people are supposed to be nowadays.

The future is that the rate of this will be happening exponentially.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 02:15 PM

Sad that this is a more likely scenario to happen than people with permanent disabilities/disorders being able to have and maintain a livable lifestyle.

I don’t even know what it’s like to be friend-zoned. I got something worse though, “little brother”-zoned.

I’ve never had my heart break when it comes to relationships because I’ve never been on a date. However, when it comes to supposed friendships, that’s another story. I’ve been betrayed and taken advantage of so many times by people who I initially thought were my friends. But they were never my friends… they just saw a special needs student who was an easy target…

Why not just watch amateur porn then or hentai?

No deformities but definitely not even average. Autistic, terrible motor skills, very picky eater (to the point where I may vomit if it doesn’t take good) and otherwise just plain boring. Only way for me to be “better” would be a complete rewiring of my brain but medical science hasn’t advanced that far yet.

Just being genuinely loved.

I do it for the money because it’s the only way for me, as an autistic guy, to survive. I don’t want to end up homeless, because I know if I do, it’s going to be a hole I’ll never be able to climb out of.

OnlyFans is porn you have to PAY for though.

I’d say the amount of “traditional” women are far greater than the amount of 6-foot men with abs.

And some of us have issues that can’t actually be fixed, like mental or physical health disorders.

I’d love to be considered as “boyfriend material.” A lot better than being “little brother material.” Imagine women actually saying to you, “you’re so sweet, I wish you were my little brother” or “thanks so much for helping me out, I wish I could replace my little brother with you,” despite the fact that we’re the same age.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/22 05:25 PM

Exactly. Just one success can change a person’s entire mindset, even if they don’t realize it themselves. But when you’re continuously rejected, whether it’s dating, employment, etc., you’re going to feel very dejected. Doubly so if you keep putting in effort and have no results to show. Rejection is fine, it’s normal, it’s a part of everyday life. But we all need at least little sprinkles of success in between. Too bad some of us don’t even get that…

I think the issue is the reasoning behind being touched. If your paying for a manicure, massage or professional cuddler, that’s the reasoning for being touched. I want a hug from someone who genuinely loves and cares about me, not because I paid insert amount here to get one.

Are you out of your mind?! Bullying toughens peoples up? It certainly doesn’t. As someone who actually did try to stand up for themselves, it didn’t work. I may rid myself of one bully, but it only resulted jn more bullies coming in and the bullying itself to be even worse. What was once teasing and mocking is replaced by group beatdowns, sexual harassment and death threats. Post 9/11, my peers were actually being less disciplined than ever before, if they even received discipline at all. What w…

Without more rigorous discipline, no. Bullies need to be punished much harsher but god forbid the education system to do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/22 05:26 PM

I’d say the making friends is probably harder to deal with. It’s one thing to be simply rejected and ignored. Everyone goes through that, it’s life. It’s another to be mocked, bullied and taken advantage of due to circumstances that are beyond my control (for me, being a special needs student with a personal aide).
