Thank you! That's such a valuable way to look at it, just because someone doesn't seem outwardly toxic doesn't mean they don't show internalized misogyny and disrespect in other ways. I always thought, "I don't feel valued, but he doesn't outwardly devalue me. I don't feel respected, but he's not disrespectful that I can see." Thank you!! I'm moving out in a little over a month (our lease is ending then) and the move will be fairly close to my birthday. I'm going to send myself some beautiful flowers as a housewarming/birthday gift to my new apartment. 😊 I've never sent myself flowers, but why the hell not?

It is disgusting to me how relatable the boundary pushing part of this post is. I've experienced all of these as well, it makes me so mad that it's so common. I saw a video the other day where a guy was asking "why can't friends just have casual sex?" It made me so angry, like you want to use your friends for sex because you can't be a decent enough human being to attract someone who wants to have sex with you? That's sad as hell and disgusting to me.
