Plenty of men hang around in the friend zone hoping something more will happen that clearly isn't gonna happen, feelings make people do stupid things

What is the point of this pedantry? This is a discussion board, we're not performing rigorous science - "average" means "average in our social milieu". I don't know what's going on in Zambia either, what is there to say about people our lives do not intersect with?

what kind of life are people like OP living that they think this "average"? I work with a bunch of guys in their 30s/early 40s, every single one of them is married with kids.

If someone's getting attention from very attractive women, they're probably a very attractive man. Obviously, they can also get less attractive women. Not sure what the point here is.

People's sense of history feels mostly informed by a body of fiction that usually describes rich people pre-industrialization or urban middle class+ Europeans after it. The fact that 99% of people were illiterate until fairy recently probably has a lot to do with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 12:22 AM

Maybe. I don't know if making a living from that is a practical reality for most women. I think a lot of this discussion gets framed in terms of the men's desires and what *they* imagine they would find gratifying if they were women, rather than what women value or find gratifying in their lives. I think both sexes have some obvious advantages and disadvantages that are ultimately biologically hard-wired, but in general I think social class, appearance, mental makeup/health, etc, are vastly more…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 11:20 PM

I'll never know, but I'm not sure being able to get a bunch of DMs from weirdos I'm not into on social media would really move the needle much on my life situation.

Not that there aren't plenty of choosy beggars whining on the internet in between jerking dry dicks to weird porn, but I think misalignment of value proposition and expectations is less likely to afflict men, as life sends them clearer signals about their place in the pecking order. Even absolute loser women will probably spend their life bouncing around situationships and shitty relationships, not realizing they're playing out Charlie Brown and the football.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 10:15 PM

i don't even know, which historic societal collapse can be plausibly attributed primarily to feminism? we can look at some complex phenomenon with dozens of social/economic/external factors and go "i don't like that one" but it's probably a little more involved than that
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 08:22 PM

When you have a hammer and everything looks like a nail
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 08:10 PM

the things i can control are not sufficient to outweigh the things i cannot, and i would rather be single than date women with cluster B personality disorders, which i suppose is also a choice.

This sub cracks me up. Where else do people talk about finding out women want to fuck attractive men as if its forbidden knowledge recently let loose upon an innocent world, instead of something most people realize when they're approximately 14 and part of the public school system.

Red pill is basically just shit players do, so obviously that stuff works (or doesn't hurt), at least if that's your goal. The red pill is not the autism pill. If you can't execute what it advocates with any social finesse, and if you don't have a baseline level of physical attraction, obviously you're just going to be an obnoxious repellent weirdo.

This isn't just a mainstream source, this is Cambridge university, one of the most prestigious universities in the world, saying this shit. to be clear, it's a research paper by an "affiliated researcher and literary scholar" at the department of psychology at the Norwegian University of Science, who has a degree in screenwriting and a phd in "European Languages and Transcultural Studies". This is academia makework, not policy recommendation going straight to the head of the secret world governm…

There's nothing wrong with it, period. Women in poorer countries are no stupider than ones in highly developed ones, they know the score, and are perfectly capable of making decisions in their own interest.

I'm not sure men are "content" either. When you lack something societal messaging tells you is the answer to all your problems, you believe it. When you get it, and the honeymoon period wears off and you've just got some boring mentally ill girlfriend who fucks you once a fiscal quarter, very good odds you'll go right back to being depressed.

Women are equally exhausted, especially when they can’t find men who have the emotional intelligence to actually step up and share the mental and domestic load. Is it that women can't find such men, or is it that what women are attracted to does not select for such men?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 06:19 PM

Some people must've slept through high school biology, but men and women share the vast majority of their genome and do not evolve in isolation.

Doesn't seem particularly hard to figure out... from the male perspective, you're an individual person being genuine putting in effort blah blah blah, from the female perspective, you're one tiny blip in an undifferentiated blob of beards and bad photos that thoroughly overloads the attention span, and what remains most salient are the negative experiences.

well it’s good our concern can stop at “the states” when there are major wars being fought as we speak
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 05:51 PM

I reckon women who want to be roughed up in bed non-consensually are a small minority.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 12:51 AM

well, the other day I learned that if you leave $20 worth of sealed nonfat greek yogurt in the back of your fridge for 5 months, it'll still be edible 😕
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 12:43 AM

You have one view of a relationship from outside, each person within it has another. I don't think people break up for "no reason", the reason may not obvious looking in from the outside. Can't say I've ever seen this happen myself - when some dude I know ended a relationship, he could articulate a reason why.

People who aren't completely dumb realize that they can't diagnose or fix your particular brand of autism over the internet, except in the broadest possible terms. The remainder gives you advice.

Social media and dating apps are not the normal dating environment for anyone except the youngest generations (who are so resistant to the concept of going into the real world without filtering reality through a phone or headset that they often cannot function in the direct presence of people they don’t know). Can we please stop acting like today's young people are just going to become today's older people in a few years? Who cares what the "normal dating environment" is for millenials+, most of…

Or being a slave to a corporate office. well, yes? if you're good looking and charismatic and can network/politic your way up the corporate ladder and can finagle all sorts of career opportunities through your connections, that's pretty much guaranteed to be a better living than being a sex worker.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 10:57 PM

I think it is true both that people with more options can afford to be pickier (obviously), and that humans vary across pretty much every trait and preferences are not universal.

How does who approaches who have anything at all to do at all with long term compatibility? Dudes don't approach just because they want to smash?

For relationships that take people off the market on an effectively permanent basis, sure. But there's plenty of churn, and that's where you can easily get dramatic inequalities. One man can date 3 women (or more if non-exclusive) for 8 months each in the span of 2 years (whereas the women just spend a longer time single), another man can spend the same time period fruitlessly swiping on Hinge.

When it comes to actual dating, finding a relationship is just as hard for a woman as it is for a man. Every time a heterosexual woman finds a relationship, a man does as well. One can’t happen without the other happening. considering serial monogamy and non-monogamy exist and are normalized, it happens quite easily

let's be honest here, if you are not currently putting your life and livelihood on the line to fight against the injustices of our age, you'd probably be doing the same 200 years ago

Also men: “I would never date a fat woman, single mothers, women with high body counts, women who wear a lot of makeup, women who have plastic surgery, women who are feminists, or women over 30 - they’re unattractive and have less value.” isn't some gender-swapped variant of this list also most women's standards as well?

Would you fight against the system so that women become sexually free? I doubt 99.99% of this sub has any revolutionary potential beyond hanging out at a No Kings rally with their friends

sure, that's easy, i'm good-looking enough to meet women from apps, too mentally ill and socially maladjusted to not weird them out on first dates

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
