Is there anything related to bad behavior between the genders that isn't a double standard at this point?

It is advised around here. Are you a Mormon or you live in the Middle East or something? Because it's not often advised in Western countries, that's for sure. Sad but true

If you're wondering whether it's your kid you should try and get a DNA test. Keep in mind you'll probably be forced to pay child support though, and the kid might not recognize you as his father. Sometimes it's just best to let sleeping dogs lie

There was a case of a guy a few years ago who got statutorily raped at age 11 by an older woman, and she got pregnant with his child. Well, the woman got sent to prison for many years (as she should), and the boy's parents ended up raising his daughter. If the baby turns out to be the student's, I think this is probably what will happen here too

I'm a bit late to the conversation, but I feel a lot has to be said about Point #2. I think more people actually defend or sympathize with incels than it seems, but few people, especially other men will ever admit it publicly. Why? Because they are afraid that if they do this, the person/people they are speaking to will think they are an incel themselves, or even if they have a GF/wife now that they once considered themselves an incel. So in this sense, I'd say incels are one of the closest thin…

Don't really know what to say about this, but one observation I've made is that statements like "The world owes you nothing" or "You're not entitled to anything" are made almost exclusively to men, especially white heterosexual men. You almost never hear this being told to a woman even when she acts very hypocritical and entitled. It's almost as if modern society considers it unacceptable to shame women or minorities no matter what, but when men, especially those of a low social status, express …

Yes, the Istanbul convention is a radically feminist document that talks about women basically being oppressed by men, gender roles etc. Most countries' populace were against this document but almost every country ratified it anyways

Because it's not considered politically correct in our society to portray a woman as anything other than a fragile, innocent, blameless being.

This has actually happened before. Men have literally been falsely accused of rape because their female colleagues dreamed about being sexually assaulted and then assumed they must have been drunk/not remembered it/ psychologically repressed it, etc.

Guess whether or not the lawyer thought it was harassment. I've been thinking about this too and I think you're largely right. There are lawyers out there who have built their entire livelihoods off harassment cases, so of course they're going to try and claim harassment occurred, even when it's clear that it didn't. Of course, the easiest way to do so is to manipulate vague legal definitions to encompass an ever wider range of otherwise innocuous behaviors. And they know just what to say to eli…

I grew up with an authoritarian mother. I've also had alcohol problems in the past. I would show this article to her, but knowing her she'd only flip out and still not learn anything, so I guess I'll pass

It's damned if you do, damned if you don't nowadays. They tell you to be friendly and cordial with customers and always act like you're having the time of your life even if you hate your job and your personal life sucks as well, but then when you do what they say and one crazy person out of 1000 gets offended, then suddenly you're too friendly. Then you become more formal, and pretty soon they start asking why are you being all distant like a robot. No matter what you do, someone is going to dis…

This is a totally new level of craziness. Then again, I think we have to reevaluate our social norms in North America. People don't realize that the English speaking world is a very touch averse culture. We also give people more personal space than in much of Europe. On the other hand in many European cultures like France, people still kiss each other's cheeks when entering a house, and in general it is acceptable in many European cultures to kiss a female friend on the cheek and this is not see…

This is nothing new, sadly. I remember in the early 2000s when I was in the first grade, a boy in the class was suspended from school for trying to kiss one of the girls. The teacher basically made him look like a sex offender, started using big words like consent etc and basically suggested that he was a sexual predator, and humiliated him in front of the rest of the class. In the first grade, at 6-7 years old. Men are demonized by the current Western society basically from the moment they leav…

I recently read a satirical article on a conservative site about how scandalous The Lion King supposedly is. The premise was more or less: --The entire movie is based on a struggle for power and dominance between Simba, the "legitimate" heir and his treacherous uncle. How can this be accepted in a society where all are supposed to be equal? --The leaders of the prides are all male, while the females are subservient to their mates. What of gender equality and female empowerment? Oh, the outrage! …

This is the very definition of a useless investment that goes downhill fast and only ends up breaking your bank account. The parts of a car are like the lightbulbs on a chandelier--once one flickers out, so do the rest in quick succession. My Cadillac had 130,000 miles on it, and it got to the point where it was in the repair shop every week for a different issue. It's the same with women--they might look decent at 30-32, but then they burn out really quickly in terms if looks, and it's not just…

True fact: During the 1920s and early '30s when much of the modern Manhattan skyline was being built, thousands of men worked on the respective construction sites without harnesses, safety nets or any kind of protection whatsoever. They were paid minimum wage but most of them simply accepted the nature of the job because since many of them were either uneducated or immigrants, it was some of the only work they could find. 40% of them fell to their deaths in the process, yet their contributions w…

This stuff already happens. There was a post a while back where a girl wrote, I think on imgur, that her boyfriend was talking to her at the gym and some other girl who was there didn't realize they were a couple and thought a stranger was hitting on her, so she threatened to have him kicked out if he didn't stop talking to her. That got 207,000 upvotes

It went too far when touching a woman’s arm to flirt with her when she hadn’t even indicated her lack of interest, or asking a coworker out for a date and being rejected started being thrown around as examples of “sexual harassment”

I think people hate on Meghan too much. Sure, she calls herself a feminist but she definitely isn’t one of those man-hating women who can’t stop talking about how every aspect of Western culture is supposedly dominated by the patriarchy, every man is a potential rapist or domestic abuser, etc

The hardest part about being male is asking women out and initiating dating/sex. If you’re a man of average looks and salary, then failure to approach women of your own accord will leave you single for long stretches of time and sexually frustrated. This makes life particularly difficult for guys who are shy, anxious or not naturally confident and especially men who are unattractive or poor because these men experience many rejections for every successful date, fling, or relationship which may c…

This is why I hate the #metoo movement. In many cases, it doesn't represent actual cases of harassment but rather refers to cases in which women automatically assumed that a man was a potential rapist on the basis of unjustified assumptions or that a guy should be fired or ostracized for asking a woman out when she did not reciprocate. Women in English-speaking countries have had this attitude for years. It always felt like the majority of Europe, outside of a few crazy feminist countries (like …

I have the same feeling. The question is, is it still accurate? Most of the people on here visited these countries several years ago, and I get the feeling like the whole MeToo hysteria has turned the entire culture on its head

If men are too passive/sensitive, it’s fragile masculinity. If we’re too upfront and assertive, it’s toxic masculinity. Can we just finally admit that for feminists all masculinity is bad already? Men can’t win

Tbf she has a better ass Feminists: “You sexist pig!” Also feminists: “Oh just look at his muscles and perfect body” Man: “Hey that’s body objectification” Feminists: “No it’s not, it’s female empowerment. Oh and stop mansplaining, you obnoxious brute”

Also, when it’s a man it says “The Amazing Spider-Man” but when it’s a woman, “The Amazing” is left out, therefore Spider Woman is not amazing only because she’s a woman, hence the title is sexist due to this omission. Feminist logic in a nutshell

There is speculation and research that suggests they may have the potential to cure PTSD LSD was legal in many Western countries until the 1960s. Then the 60s revolution came about and with it an increase in usage. The governments hated it for the simple reason that they were categorically opposed to young people having too much fun, because they thought they had to be brought under control and all that, so they banned it

College debate clubs are the worst SJW-dominated, feminist shitholes you can imagine. They start off by saying “You can say anything you want” about feminism, racism, etc., but then proceed to tell you what you can and can’t say and anything that veers from the left-wing orthodoxy by even the slightest amount is absolutely off-limits. Also, they make you “state your preferred gender pronouns” at tournaments, and in some cases biological men who have barely even started their transitions and stil…

Because the sample size was small, it could be that only a certain subset of men are prone to such stigmatization. Of course, I’m sure physically unattractive, quiet, socially awkward men are no more likely to be branded creeps than any other subset of the male population, because everyone knows women aren’t mean and shallow like that. /s

This is bad news for men, to say the least. Until now, if you were falsely accused of harassment at a university, you would basically have no chance of finding a new job (at least in certain fields like academia) in your home country (Why do you think he had to move to Finland?) With this decision, it’s officially gone international now. There’s nowhere in the world to hide anymore from the ever-advancing feminist lynch mob
