There is definitely no perfect version of her in my head, because she wasn't perfect. She would make my life hell for no reason at all, that in no way diminishes my love for her though. My logic side is keeping me from taking her back, emotions are not logical, if they were, she wouldn't have fragged the fuckin family haha

Don't knock WA too much. I was able to get full custody, and no support either way. All it took was her being convicted for domestic violence, and me being out 20k in lawyers.

Needed to read this. Walked out of my divorce with full custody, and 0 support. I am thinking of all the good times I had with her (oh so many), that it's hard to feel the gravity of her poor treatment towards me. I miss her every fucking second still.

Update, judge didn't go for it. She was ordered mental health eval. I got the kiddos atleast for the time. I do have to pay her a lump sum of 3k, but that's pennies compared to what she wanted, and she definitely will not be able to keep her attorney.

She's busting out the big rape gun unfortunately, because she has no other choice. I provided times, dates, and pictures to support every one of my claims in my declaration, I made sure of that. Unfortunately she is an abusive idiot, hopefully the judge looks at the evidence from me and the state.

I think my favorite piece of evidence, one that her lawyer already has btw, is where she texted my dad to tell him "your gay little son hasn't touched me in two years." Idk which one it is, did I rape? Or not touch? Lol. It's just trivial bullshit on her end.

Already have, I speak with her defense attorney in a few weeks. I think she is just trying to shoehorn in the divorce paperwork before she is inevitably convicted. Pretty hard to claim self defense when you don't have a scratch on you.

Luckily for me, dropping the DV is not an option, or I probably would have stupidly done that a month ago. She is being charged by the state, I couldn't stop it even if I tried. Most of her claims are me not being home when I was in the military 4 years ago.

Have not been able to even get in touch with a lawyer yet, they wont take my case. That's why I was trying to use my local resources. I'll be getting mental health help from the VA. Referrals are in.

Yes, got refered to the ONLY office for my county twice, the prosecutor even recommended them. We have a "conflict of interest" so they just hang up on me. Prosecutor has now recommended some more places 50miles away, VA is now trying to help also. Appearently the shelter helping the abuser is uncommon, so the prosecutors office is of course a little confused with them. Unfortunately it looks like I gotta "man up" once again and take the brunt of everything.

Can agree here. Took 28 calls to lawyers to get one who'd take me, 0 support in my area. Actually just received a call from an agency I reached out to, telling me they cannot help me, and refered me to the people who referred them haha

A few weeks ago, a similar thing happened to me, however the cops used their eyeballs and took her away. Something you gotta realize man, she called them on YOU, she wanted YOU to get arrested, YOU be homeless, and YOU be out of her life because she is no longer interested. Financially I am pretty okay, she "left me" 3 years ago, so we have not had a joint account since. Everything is frozen, she has tried to charge about $700 to our account so far today, but I am not budging. Thank you guys for the comments, and advice, no matter how hard the advice is. I'm in contact with an attorney, I'm cutting the tie as hard as I can, and unfortunately, have to "go for the jugular" and get full custody. This is gonna be a shit show, but it's definitely needed. I had my first night of peace in my own home in a long time last night, it was a great time to put everything into perspective. Thank you guys so much.

I'm hearing the same thing from many sources. I do think she is unstable, and I want her to have a relationship with her kids more than anything, but I think it'll be best to go ahead and shoot for full custody, and just allow her to see them whenever she wants. I feel awful for her right now, but she still doesn't even recognize that she could possibly be in the wrong here, it's not healthy. I sincerely hope she gets the help she needs.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have a lawyer contacting to me about what my next steps should be, still no contact from her family, so idek where to send money if I wanted. We have 2 kids, which is probably why I stuck around for so much of the show. This sucks more than anything, and it makes no logical sense to feel bad about doing what I had to do.
