Your entire message resonated so much with me and my own experience.

Thank you! You’re damn right about that. When things get too overwhelming, I try to slow things down and focus on right now. I’ve been taking things day by day for the most part and I think it’s definitely the way to go. I’m thinking of doing that as well. We’ve got this!!

Good for you! I’m thinking of doing the exact same thing.

Relatable. I’m coming on a year post separation. There has been ups and down but currently hitting a rough patch. My motivation is at an all time low and I feel like I’m just going through the motion and surviving. I miss being in a good relationship so much. I miss the company, the mutual support, the fun activities, the intimacy, the partnership, mutual goals and projects and nustbthe excitement for the future. I go to the gym, I go to therapy but idk it just all feels pointless. I am dreading…

I was at a bar Friday night by myself and had lunch by myself yeaterday at a restaurant. There are days where I really enjoy my own company and solo outings. Other days, it can feel a bit depressing. I’ve been living by myself for almost 10 months for the first time ever. It’s definitely an adjustment.

I’m in a somewhat similar situation although I’m a bit older than you. At first, any woman showing me attention was enough to get me excited about a new relationship. Then I found someone I could really open up to and we dated for a brief time but she didn’t want to commit to anything more and was also dating other people. That was like another tough heartbreak after my divorce and I still have strong feelings for her. We’re still close friends but it almost hurts more than anything sometimes. A…

You can’t go wrong Hamilton! I’m thinking of adding a speedmaster or Cartier Santos to the collection. Not sure I want to stretch the budget either after the divorce though. I’m enjoying my Explorer and a few Breitlings right now. It’s a fun hobby!

When I’m in a relationship, I tend to be perfectly happy with only spending time with my partner. I made that mistake in my marriage as well. It’s not healthy. Not for you, not for her. I learned that lesson the hard way. Her wanting to spend time with her friends should not be seen as a red flag… Part of this journey of self discovery post divorce is to be able to spend time by yourself and not constantly need to be with a partner. It’s hard and it’s a struggle, at least for me. But it’s the on…

I experienced some of the same things in my marriage. You know how you deal with it? Find someone new who gives you exactly what you need! I recently dated someone who was the complete opposite of my ex wife and gave me so much attention, affection, touch, hugs, kisses and genuinely cared about my feelings. It was amazing and opened up my eyes to a whole new world. I will never settle for anything less.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
