So 1. Rape culture isn’t just about rape. A dude who celebrates a girls nudes being leaked and tells her it’s her fault is infinitely more likely to not respect consent compared to men that don’t involve themselves in that behavior. My gf and I are swingers. And our saying is “If you can’t respect basic consent online and basic decency online… then why should we trust you in person?” As in, if a guy / couple can’t respect us not sending nsfw stuff with our faces until they verify (like they cons…

Honestly. I think it’s more of a rich vs. poor thing than a men vs women thing. Everyone was horribly oppressed by the rich until recent history. Even in today’s world, 1st world countries only function at the expense of the 3rd world sweatshops. The pyramid may be skinnier, with some more higher up the chain. But it’s still a pyramid.

I mean… that’s good then. Men’s rights doesn’t have to mean that women didn’t struggle too.

Then explain to me the thousands of comments on “We’ll he/she shouldn’t have been (x)” when sexual assault and rape comes up. You rarely see that with murder or virtually any other crime

I have not done whataboutism. OP literally said “thing is, this only works when you have male victims” That’s plain false. And that way of ideological thinking is exactly the same kinds of thinking that makes MRA irrelevant to the feminist or anyone who paints men with a broad brush. If broad brushes cause men so much pain and we don’t like to be painted with them… then why use one ourselves?

You probably won’t. “Egalitarian” is met with much less adversity than MRA. If you wore “Feminist” in bumfuck Tennessee you would get the same response to wearing “MRA” in Portland. But most people are okay if you say “I’m an Egalitarian”

Rape culture is this: When the responsibility exists to NOT be raped. No one says “Well… that murder victim must have wanted it otherwise they wouldn’t have been walking in that neighborhood alone” No one says “Man, that dude who had all of his crypto stolen was asking for it because he didn’t check that link” However in regard to sexual assault, male students who are raped by their teacher “wanted it”, people “Hope” men get raped in prison, etc. And on the flip side, women who have their nudes …

You can’t say it only works when it happens to a male. You’re doing the same thing some feminists do when they paint with a broad brush. I’ve seen first hand men sharing women’s leaked nudes with the explanation of “If you don’t want your nudes leaked, then don’t share them” It also discounts the millions of women who live in religiously fundamentalist cultures where they are held responsible for men’s wavering eyes. Like how women have to cover their shoulders. Or how women in Christian circles…

We still have to admit how religious doctrine is rooted in toxic masculinity. Seeing men as nothing more than cattle for the endless wars and “Proof of manhood” which almost always includes violence, and women who are nothing more than the fields that the cattle plow. All the while some king of priest or bishop or pastor or pope claims their “God given authority” gives them the right to cause more strife between humans. And people eat it up. The Salem Witch Trials would have never happened witho…

Because just like how militant feminazis ruined the perception of feminism for many women, militant incels ruined the perception of Men’s rights for men. Men’s rights used to be about taking down toxic masculinity and the horrible tribal and brutal expectation of men as workhorses and not people. However that was all torn down when incels and misogynists invaded the movement with their “ReTuRn To TrAdItIoN” and soiled the name of the whole movement. If you want to be perceived without much stere…

Yeah man. But these kids are innocent. Good on the (not) dad for moving on. What sucks is that if he shuts these kids out of his life, they’ll have a lot of trauma on top of everything they’ve already went through. Either choice he makes is still the woman’s fault. She lied. She caused this. He and the children are the victims. However that doesn’t make his choice to take another financial hit and move in for the sake of the kids a bad choice. That’s an honorable choice. That’s the choice a real…

No. No one should ever be forcibly sterilized for any reason. I get the sentiment but bodily autonomy is something we’ve all got to get together to protect. Babies rights to not be circumcised, a JW child’s right to blood transfusion despite parental wishes, abortion rights, rights to change your sex if you have gender dysphoria… all of this belongs between your doctor and you. Not the government.

Good. He should have won more. He lost something he will never get back: time. Not only is it an expense, but it’s tens of thousands of hours of time he could have focused on his career or other aspirations (like loving someone else who doesn’t take advantage of their social status) which he can never get back.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
