Yeah, that's true. But then how do I get past it? People tell me to leave that stuff in the past, but I've just been unable to. I've seen shrinks before and they haven't been able to help, at least not yet. I just can't disconnect the abuse from who I am.

Dealing with the abuse has been hard for me. It really affected the way I see the world, I think. It fucked me up sexually too. I don't have a ton of faith I'll ever get past it. My masculine side is the only side of me really. If I had a feminine side, it withered away and died. I think I just need to learn to accept others. I can't fix myself, but at least I can be happy with how others live.

Huh. I never thought of it that way. Of course I can't self diagnose myself with anything, but that's an interesting thought. Frankly I've always thought of myself as a fucking idiot for being so influenced by my abuse. I've wanted badly to just "get over it" for a while now. I wish it were easier.

But see, I don't think I have PTSD because the abuse wasn't physical or anything like that. I was yelled at and insulted, I was treated very badly, mocked, etc. but I don't have "flashbacks" and I don't consider myself especially traumatized. So I don't know why I feel the way I do, you'd think I'd have gotten over it. I've been to therapy before but I feel like I just recieve a couple cookie cutter answers and it never helps. I hope I can see the light at the end of the tunnel sooner or later t…

I wouldn't call myself scared of men, I don't think. I find that I understand men very well for the most part, and generally find it easy to act in a masculine way. As far as feeling inferior, I understand that. I think I have a certain narcissism or something along those lines where I consider myself to be superior to other women for having rejected femininity, but I still struggle with the fact that I'll never be "good enough." But really it's completely irrational, I'm not superior to anyone.…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
