What he means is don't jerk your head around quickly. For example if someone calls you take your time to turn your attention towards them. 1	What to do when you are being stared down by an AMOG? Why not just ignore it? Do your own thing. Don't need to get into a staring contest. What I usually do in these types of situations is just emphasize confident body language. Neck high, chin up, shoulders back, arms swinging. If I ever feel threatened because I think a person in my vicinity might try to harm me in some way I will exaggerate all these traits. Another thing I'm assuming from the context part you added is that you probably admit certain insecurities or vulnerabilities to these people. Whether it be by asking them advice with a girl or whatever. Don't do this at all. Don't show weakness. Only time its acceptable to do this is when you're already close friends with someone. 1	What to do when you are being stared down by an AMOG? I don't know never been in that extreme of a situation. Generally when I'm in a public place and there's someone staring at me it doesn't faze me at all. I sometimes notice it but It just doesn't evoke any type of reaction from me. I know friends of mine are always talking about how people are staring them down or trying to start something. I never get this feeling. I just go about what I'm doing. Makes it boring to attack you. Showing emotions isn't going to make people stop it will just fuel whoever is making fun of you. It provides them with entertainment. I've never once felt threatened or confused about what to do when someone stares at me. I just make eye contact till we pass or I just look straight ahead. Out of curiosity, being under 20 what did you end up doing? The most common advice I see is "Go for drinks" but that obviously doesn't work if you're not 21.
