| 1 | You will get burned. It's the right answer, though. Whether you think it's fucked up or not. Paradoxically, being truly, genuinely prepared to shrug about it if (when) you lose her because you've been hurt before and there are plenty of women without her hangups and you'll be just fine, is the best way to keep her around. There's something very Zen about it. And also, is it really fucked up if it works and gives you both a truly happy relationship? | 2 | GF's interfering control-freak mother - some advice?"two, you really don't want this bitch as your mother in law" - this might be the killshot right here. No I fucking do not. I feel icky letting her win, but whatever. Not all that relevant to my happiness. | /r/askTRP | 01/12/17 01:33 AM |

| 2 | GF's interfering control-freak mother - some advice?Actually, this is super resonant for some other reasons not included in the post that I won't get into. I'm going to drop you a quick PM if you don't mind. | /r/askTRP | 30/11/17 09:12 PM |
| 2 | GF's interfering control-freak mother - some advice?Funny you say that! This was one of the first things that I told her after it happened - "I don't think you're that person, but if you ever start acting like that, I am so out. Your mother wouldn't have made it past a first date with me." She (GF) doesn't have any of the red flags that would make me think so otherwise. But you may be right. If I stick around it's definitely something that will be on my radar. Materialistic spoiled people don't get to be in my life. | /r/askTRP | 30/11/17 08:20 PM |
