Women perceive top 20% men as average, so chances are that those men weren't average.

When I am saying uncomfortable I am using in contrast to painful.

The thing is that I would be willing to do things that make me uncomfortable, although not outright painful, for a partner because if that act make them feel good I would derive some pleasure from pleasing them, if not the act itself. I feel that being completely unwilling to do things for your partner is pretty strong evidence that you don't like them all that much.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 07:19 PM

The main idea is that not being willing to do things with you that they did with an ex, other than one offs that had negative consequences, is evidence they liked their ex more than they like you. This argument isn't gendered so if a man had done mmf threesomes with an ex but not you, assuming you wanted one, that would also be evidence that he liked you less. It does seem men care more about this than women though, and I'm guessing this is either due to men finding being settled for worse, or b…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 07:05 PM

If I had done it once and been injured by it that's one thing. But most men aren't arguing that if a woman is injured by some act that she should do it again. They are generally talking about things like threesomes or blowjobs which aren't going to injure you. The argument OP presented in the post is a straw man, and most men in the comments disagreeing are supporting a less extreme version of the idea in the post.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 05:53 PM

If I had been pegged by a previous partner, it would be reasonable for a current partner to expect that from me.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 04:23 PM

Did those women set up those dates or did they get asked out and then just turned up.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 04:23 PM

And those men almost certainly put in more effort than just existing, which is all the effort most women in relationships put in.

Most women have never asked a man out, but most women still end up in relationships, so it clearly works for average women.

The point of the saying is that once you eat a cake, you no longer have it (as it has been digested). So you can either have the cake or eat the cake, but you can't have the cake while having eaten it.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 06:18 PM

The reason boys struggle to focus in school is because their parents failed them. Parents put less effort into raising boys than girls, which is why people seem to consider boys easier to raise (because neglect is easier than parenting). Victim blaming children is quite an unempathetic view.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 07:21 PM

You're not responding to my point, which is that you lack the empathy you claimed to have in your post. You can't both claim to care about men's issues and simultaneously dismiss all men's issues as being the fault of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 07:11 PM

The entire point of the post you made was that women do care about non-sex related mens issues, but as soon as one is brought up, you immediately have no empathy for it. You are disproving your own point.

Judging by post history, they are a gay man.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates08/10/25 11:41 PM

If, as a guy, you mention that you are struggling to find a partner, outside a few internet communities, you will immediately be told by multiple people that it is entirely due to your personality and that your looks aren't important. I'm old enough to know that's nonsense, but teenagers are less likely to realise that.

If a candidate stood with a platform raising the retirement age of women to 65, they would lose half the electorate, making an election victory impossible.

If the title were true, there would be a shortage of prostitutes, which there isn't. Also, the idea that some women don't feel entitled to men's money is laughable. Every time a man mentions that he doesn't want to pay for the whole date, many women on this subreddit are outraged.

I don't really have any good quirks to embrace, I am off-putting to most people I meet. The only positive trait about me is being good at maths, but that isn't useful in a dating context. The social skills coaching was aimed specifically at autistic people, I am smart enough to know that any resources aimed at NTs are not going to work. It is hard to join a group with the intent to make 6 I already have enough friends and can't maintain any more, whereas I do want a partner.

3 probably, I'm in good shape but with an ugly face and decently short, as well as balding, despite being in my 20s.

I tried most of the generic advice: -Therapy: Just wasted my money and made a person, who takes advantage of the vulnerable, wealthier. -Going to hobby groups: I have mostly male dominated hobbies, but even when I tried groups with better gender ratios, there was no success. -Exercise: gyms are too loud, but I took up running and calisthenics at home, but neither affected the main reasons I am ugly so didn't help. -Dating apps: got maybe 3 matches and no dates over 2 years. -Social skills coachi…

My 'it's over' attitude came from continued failure in spite of all efforts rather than existing from the beginning and causing my failure. The point about many autistic people being undiagnosed isn't relevant to those who are, and if you could go through life undiagnosed, you could barely be considered autistic to begin with. I find the claim that all of your autistic friends who have tried have had dating success, without any struggles, to be an obvious lie given the statistics.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/25 12:40 AM

14% isn't many, by any reasonable definition. The only autistic men I know who have had any romantic success are tall/attractive enough for the halo effect to allow women to ignore their autism. If you, like me, are average/below average, then it was over from birth.

It should apply to men as well, but women are less likely to realise that. Men who are more promiscuous are also more likely to cheat. However, the correlation is weaker, as men who would be promiscuous are less likely to be able to, so women may end up with a 'promiscuous' man, even if he had low partner count.

I'm not sure I agree with your assertion that women who have more sexual partners would necessarily like sex more with one person than women with fewer partners. People in relationships have much more sex, on average, than those who are single and sleeping around. High partner count is thus not going to indicate they would have more active sex lives in a relationship, because they could have had more sex if they had been monogamous, rather it indicates that they are less likely to be satisfied w…

You can't just declare something is unhealthy, or a obsession, just because you can't be bothered to do it. This is like someone who never showers claiming that showering daily is an unhealthy level of obssesion about cleanliness.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 11:19 PM
2

Everything may be fine in moderation, but that doesn't mean it is healthier than not having it. Any amount of chocolate, for example, is bad for you. Sure if you only eat a small amount, you aren't going to die, but that doesn't make eating it healthy. And most people aren't capable of moderation, given the prevalence of overweight/obese people. Gym bros ate definitely healthier than the 73.6% of overweight Americans. You also still haven't addressed how tracking macros makes you less healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 09:44 PM

So do you believe eating too many calories is healthier? I am genuinely unsure what you think is healthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 08:18 PM

Tracking calories and protein so that you eat the correct amount, is clearly healthier than just eating any old junk because the high sugar content makes it taste nice.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 07:56 PM

Only a redditor could think eating healthy is an eating disorder.

You met me with another attempt to scam me into more therapy. I wouldn't call that understanding. If you understood my post you wouldn't have recommended therapy.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/25 08:17 AM
4

This has got to be one of the dumbest things I've read. Firstly recommending therapy after I've already said it didn't work is insane. I'm not falling for that again. Secondly I don't listen to redpill grifters as it was obvious they were scammers, unlike therapists who do a good job pretending they aren't.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/25 08:05 AM
5

That is exactly what I am saying. I have wasted about £6000 on therapy over the last one and a half years and got nothing from it. There is no reason therapy should cost so much (£80 for a 40 minute session) unless the goal is scamming vulnerable people out of money. Very few people have lost that much money from redpill grifters.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/25 06:43 AM

Talking about grifters preying on people for money, while suggesting therapy in the same sentence is wild.

I'm not denying that resilience gives you more attempts at success, but it doesn't itself make you more attractive. If a man approaches a woman she probably won't know how many other women he has already approached, so it can't possibly affect her opinion of him. One of the few ways she would know is if she had seen him approaching other women nearby, and I suspect if she had seen approach 10 other women that night she would be less interested not more.

When people say men have no inherent value they are referring to men's value to potential partners. No one believes mothers will only love their sons if they meet certain criteria.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 10:26 PM

Resilience isn't sexy. The only thing that's sexy is being physically attractive. No one is going to find an ugly guy attractive just because he kept approaching and being rejected by women.

Henry VIII waged multuple wars leading to the deaths of thousands of men. The two wives he beheaded are not evidence that women had it worse.

I'm referring to the second last paragraph where the term sex worker is explicitly used.

Claiming its hypocritical for guys to want their partner to find them sexually attractive, while not wanting to date a sex worker, who's job is to repeatedly cheat on them, is possibly the most deranged take I have seen on this subreddit in a while.

You claim in your post that 'almost none' of the women you know are interested in unattractive men. Given that more than 'almost none' of men are unattractive, this seems to contradict your claim that your unattractive friends aren't struggling much, and reinforces the common idea in this subreddit: that unattractive men are fucked.

I was arguing against your claim that there was a 'discrepancy in available healthcare' and every point you have since made supports my argument rather than yours. You clearly haven't read my comments correctly.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 10:11 PM

You're completely missing the point. The point is that illegal abortions are not a discrepancy in healthcare, rather than a belief that they should be legal for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 09:32 AM

This ignores that men, or more commonly boys, get raped, and are still forced to pay child support. Given the difficulty of proving rape, and the fact courts are less likely to convict women, opposition to finacial abortion is always support for forcing rape victims to pay their rapist for 18 years. If forcing a female rape victim to raise the child is unfair, which it is, forcing a male rape victim to pay 18 years child support to his rapist is also unfair.

Plenty of men don't have loving families or female friends. I know it is hard for women to understand given they are so used to being cared for, but many men are not in the position you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 12:24 AM

Men also aren't allowed abortions. I understand that men generally don't need abortions but this clearly isn't an example of a 'discrepancy in available health care'.

There's a simple question to ask yourself : If you could, would you swap to womanhood ? I know for me the answer is definitely no, that's why I am a feminist. Most women would not swap to be a man either, that is indicative of people not wanting to fundamentally change who they are rather than a belief that their gender is better off. When Norah Vincent tried to live as a man it caused her to have a mental health breakdown that resulted in her having treatment resistant depression, which eventua…

You support feminism because it benefits you, meaning you are motivated by self interest while preaching that men must be selfless.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 11:52 PM
6

That is exactly what feminists call equality. To them anything that benefits women is 'equality' and anything that benefits men is 'patriarchy'.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/25 11:50 PM
3

What have you done to help men specifically, or are only men meant to be altruistic? Women support feminism because feminism personally benefits them not because they want to help others. Expecting men to support a cause for altruistic reasons when you only support it for selfish reasons is unreasonable.

I suspect the reason that married men are more likely to get promotions is that charismatic and attractive men are more likely to both be married and recieve promotions.

You clearly have no idea what the no true scotsman fallacy is. Saying that people are lying on a survey has nothing to do with that fallacy.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 11:31 PM

In that case you must support a total abortion ban, after all if men can't opt out of adult responsibilities, women shouldn't be able to either.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 09:50 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
