People who ask for sources are terminally online. The only source is the real world experience we live. Sources are for dorks, nerds, geeks, dweebs, etc. You cannot accurate describe human social dynamics with scientific papers and statistics. Only autistic people do this.

I can't. I can't go anywhere really, or she will call the police on me. She will also report my car as stolen and try to get me arrested or attempt suicide again and blame it on me. So I'm stuck here until she finally drinks and smokes herself to death. She controls all of my insurance and won't let me get my own. She also guilt trips me constantly and has told me since the age of 12 that if I ever leave her she will either kill herself or commit a mass shooting.

I can attest to this. I'm 24 and I "technically" have the money to move out of my mom's house, but I have 31k in student loans, my car sucks so I need to buy a new one, and I only have 15k saved up. I don't want to move out until I've paid off all of my student loans, own a new car with no payment on it, and have another 35k saved up for emergencies and moving expenses. I haven't talked to a woman in probably 1-2 years at this point because the second the word "mom's house" comes out of my mouth…
