| 0 | Circumcision doesn't get talked about too often on this sub, but it should be one of our primary concerns (WARNING: (sort of) GRAPHIC)I 100% agree with you that vaccines are many thousands of times more important than circumcision. One saves huge misery and rampant death, and the other saves almost no deaths (but fairly common low to medium grade misery with urinary and foreskin infections) . The sober and serious calculus I did was what decision will make my children happiest and healthiest, and I decided on both. But back to if I am crazy... do you seriously think I am wrong that anti-circumcision adherents are several times… | /r/MensRights | 31/03/21 07:56 PM |
| -2 | Circumcision doesn't get talked about too often on this sub, but it should be one of our primary concerns (WARNING: (sort of) GRAPHIC)I'm confident that a person who believes infant foreskin removal is evil is MUCH more likely to believe infant vaccination is evil than the rest of us. In both cases, a parent is making a permanent medical decision for their child for preventative rather than urgent reasons. Do you honestly and unironically believe the advocates for preventing people from vaccinating or circumcising their children DON'T have similarities? | /r/MensRights | 31/03/21 07:15 PM |
| -1 | Circumcision doesn't get talked about too often on this sub, but it should be one of our primary concerns (WARNING: (sort of) GRAPHIC)Foreskin removal is significantly less brutal and mutilatory than appendix and wisdom tooth removal. I regret immensely having experienced the need for both the latter, despite the heavy use of antibiotics. Less sensitivity in one of the most commonly OVER sensitive parts of anyone's body isn't a downside in my book, (or for 90% of circumcision owners I suspect). Reducing the danger to my sons genital and overall health issues is the REASON I had my sons circumcised, and I am very happy to have … | /r/MensRights | 31/03/21 07:00 PM |
| -3 | Circumcision doesn't get talked about too often on this sub, but it should be one of our primary concerns (WARNING: (sort of) GRAPHIC)I read this whole thread, and I see what I see on many of these... a vocal but tiny minority who believe that foreskin removal is mutilation and sexual violation. That's absurd to me, because the idea of a penis tip so fragile that rubbing my underwear could be painful is as horrifying to me as apparently the lack of same is to some of you. When you are used to your penis looking and feeling a certain way it can seem like mutilation for it to be different... ... and INFANT circumcision PREVENTS … | /r/MensRights | 31/03/21 05:42 PM |
| -7 | Circumcision doesn't get talked about too often on this sub, but it should be one of our primary concerns (WARNING: (sort of) GRAPHIC)So you believe the number of people who believe that vaccines are evil is not in the same ballpark as the number of people who believe that surgical foreskin removal is evil? Do you hold that belief honestly and soberly, of people who speak primarily the language we are speaking? | /r/MensRights | 31/03/21 05:19 PM |
| -7 | Circumcision doesn't get talked about too often on this sub, but it should be one of our primary concerns (WARNING: (sort of) GRAPHIC)You and the anti-vax crowd can SAY we're not allowed to care for our children by giving them preventative medical treatments with their best interest at heart before they can consent... ... but you remain equally fringe, and I'm glad you don't actually control our access to medicine. | /r/MensRights | 31/03/21 04:48 PM |
| -3 | Circumcision doesn't get talked about too often on this sub, but it should be one of our primary concerns (WARNING: (sort of) GRAPHIC)I would never agree to cosmetic surgery on children, even ear piercings without their own desire and interest. However, I researched it extensively for the birth of my sons, and my sense was that the risk and issues of intact phimosis and UTI outweighed (slightly) the risk and medical issues of medical infant circumcision. The benefits in ease of cleaning and general underwear comfort put me well over the top of deciding that the best thing for my boys was to start life with one less thing to wo… | /r/MensRights | 31/03/21 04:40 PM |
