The big thread of applying PU to long-term relationships.and not to any other guy out there. Come on, is that really believable? Are you seriously not attracted to any girls besides your girlfriend? There's a difference between attraction and wanting to do something. | /r/seduction | 17/12/10 04:06 AM
Conquer Your Campus: thoughts?Hah, were you procrastinating for finals by reading 3-month-old posts too? And yeah, I agree that most of the Wygant stuff still applies, especially inner game - of course, this includes inner game stuff by other authors as well. As people have pointed out, inner game is good for pretty much everyone, including people in committed relationships and marriages. Is the college pickup that you say Wygant does pickup for people in college, or pickup of people in college? If it's the latter, it doesn'… | /r/seduction | 15/12/10 08:55 PM
Conquer Your Campus: thoughts?Does everybody just go to house/dorm parties instead of bars/clubs? Yep. Totally huge house parties are pretty rare just because there aren't that many huge houses, but ~40 person ones are common enough, and there are always tons of dorm (sub-)parties. We do have some frat parties too, but most people consider the frats kind of skeevy. Is there a lot less drinking Haha no, not at all... if anything there's more drinking - since everyone buys all their alcohol themselves or from their friends, it… | /r/seduction | 15/12/10 01:51 AM
Conquer Your Campus: thoughts?Still, I think the advice Redman gives in the book is pretty helpful, certainly better than nothing. And I think it'd be great if we started getting more people writing similar things for college-aged kids in general. One extremely obvious point is that Americans under 21 without fakes can't get into bars or clubs, and the majority of the advice given here is specifically about pickup in the bar/club scene. Likewise, number-"closing" isn't really closing at all in college - people give numbers o… | /r/seduction | 15/12/10 01:15 AM
Conquer Your Campus: thoughts? So if his basic ideas are right, which you seem to think they are, wouldn't you agree that we need to change the way we teach game to guys in college? Or especially, as you pointed out, guys who are about to go to college? I mean, he's pretty adamant that you need to have a different approach to the one people are advising college kids with right now. | /r/seduction | 15/12/10 12:35 AM
Conquer Your Campus: thoughts?Brief summary of his main ideas: There are WAY MORE people in the real world, so you have to get used to cold approaches - chances are you will not run into the same people again. This also means that there's no pre-existing social hierarchy at a "real world" bar or club. College, on the other hand, is "a cohesive social scene in and of itself, and guys who have the most success with women understand this scene and rise to the top of it." Or, as he rephrases it later, college is tribe, and this … | /r/seduction | 15/12/10 12:18 AM
