I'm not a democrat. This is why I don't watch the news. Or vote. I'd get the same shit if I said the same things about Reagan (who also demonstrated a quality of calm confidence). I'd been better to use him as my example, because he's farther removed from current experience and opinion. I was just talking about demeanor and presentation. That's all. Y'all sure do get worked up about things you have no control or influence over. Obama's not perfect. I don't believe him to be a sniveling coward th…

Alright y'all. The extent of my news exposure is 3 min of CNN on mute in the office hallway every so often. I really don't give a shit. All I know is: I'd last maybe a year as president before telling someone to "fuck off" on camera. Maybe two. It's got to be the world's most stressful job. Whatever. He's killer at speeches, and he exudes more confidence and charisma than most men. You don't get elected president twice by being a total schlub.

I'll agree that Putin is the most alpha of all. I wasn't referring to politics, or policy, because frankly I don't keep up with it, and I don't give a shit. But I was referring to the fact that he's never visibly upset or shaken, and always keeps his cool. I did not want to open up a political debate, so forget it. Clinton. Clinton, then, man, was baller.

I can't speak to PUA (I'm in monk mode anyway, and I may stay here). But, and speaking without reference to politics, I've been thinking about a man in particular who's alpha as fuck, and embodies those three characteristics: Obama. Look up "unflappability" in the dictionary, and there's a picture of president Obama. Assaulted by vipers and retards daily, and it never fazes him. I don't think that guy ever lets himself show upset. Cool as ice. Maybe he smokes like a chimney in the White House ba…

Nah. The powder has zero soy. The premixed has soy protein isolate, and thus contains zero to negligible phytoestrogens. East Asian males have been eating soy for many hundreds of years, without issue. No epidemic of man boobs, or drop in baby production.

Might I suggest Soylent? If you go a week or two on Soylent, and it gives you zero digestive issues, then it's a great way to control for dietary issues, and experiment, since it gives 2000 kcals plus 100% of macros and micros, and is pretty minimally impactful on the digestive system (although some people do experience gas for a day or two - beano to adjust). It's basically just baby formula for adults. Try it. You may still have issues on it, in which case, it didn't hurt to try it for a few d…

Ask the people who reported to him. He started by walking confidently right into IBM, the largest tech company in the world, as a snot-nosed kid with zero cred whatsoever, and flat out sold them a ridiculous license contract for a product he didn't actually have. He then turned around and purchased said product from an engineer for pennies on the dollar, in order to provide it to IBM. Brass balls.

I think we're talking past each other. You're absolutely right, people don't value male weakness at all. Definitely do not whine. Vulnerability isn't necessarily weakness. Because literally every human being is vulnerable at times. It gets tricky here, because the difference is nuanced. If you're powerful, you make a mistake, and you own it openly. "Hey, I fucked up. I apologize. I'll make it right. We're moving on." Is that weakness? I'd say no. Only a powerful person can own a flaw openly and …

You may have incomplete ideas as to what alpha is. Many great, confident, high SMV men are introverts. (Note: shyness and introversion are not the same thing). You will have to socialize. Accept it. The trick is knowing that, as an introvert, you'll have to "recharge" with time alone away from crowds before or afterwards. For me, it's 2 hours of solitude for every 1 hour of group activities. Other than that, you don't have to be the "life of the party." Whatever's fun for you, you bring that. If…

I think Mark's message is: have an opinion, but don't have, express, or change an opinion in order to seek approval. This communicates neediness, and a) women listen to intentions more than words, and can easily spot neediness, and b) women are disgusted by neediness. Expressing opinions without trying to seek approval, because you're being honest and "vulnerable" (by Mark's definition) is the very opposite of neediness, however, and women really like that (and people in general respect it more)…

Dark Triad is like speed - it works in the very short term, and is a good tool for emergency situations; but it burns out in the long run and is not at all sustainable. It has a cost. Nobody wants to form solid relationships with or do business with a dickhead. Only be a dickhead in rare circumstances when it's really called for, and there's no better alternative. Integrity, virtue, courage, Stoicism: this is the sustainable path that requires hard work in the beginning, but pays huge dividends …

Not at all true. People admire someone they can relate to. Period. Someone who embodies the best of their realistic ideals. Someone who embodies confidence and courage. Hint: courage is only possible if you're afraid, and yet still act. This graphic sums it up. If you mask all your defects, and pretend that you're never tired, never afraid, never surprised, never make a wrong call... then they'll either fear you, or regard you as a furtive manipulator who's full of shit. Untrustworthy, tight-ass…

You've got it wrong. Completely 100% wrong. An alpha, a true alpha (a leader), is so self-assured and comfortable in his own skin, that he is not afraid to be vulnerable and let his flaws show, when the situation is appropriate. In fact he owns his flaws. He works to correct them and mitigate then, but he is open about it. People aren't attracted to perfection. If you're too perfect, people will flee from you. It's the rough jagged edges that make us human, and attractive to other humans. The pe…

OP, just a guess: as a child, were you "gifted" or frequently praised for being "talented" or "smart"? If so, you're probably suffering from Imposter Syndrome. It works as follows (subconsciously). A. Everyone thinks I'm smart. B. I must not prove them wrong by fucking up. C. If I try, and don't perform as well as I "should," then everyone will know that I'm not as smart as they think I am (or I'll know that I'm not as smart as I think I am). D. I don't know if it's "Red Pill" enough or not, but it's a damned good read. It's not just about "art." It's about pursuing any creative endeavor (art, music, science, commerce, business, management, engineering) as a professional, and becoming excellent in your field of interest. This, precisely. BPD is not to be fucked with. At all. You cannot out-crazy crazy, so do not try. Anyway, OP sounds like he has NPD issues of his own, if he's immature enough to want to pursue "revenge" rather than behaving like a decent human being and just being open and honest about what he wants, and enforcing personal boundaries. It's better to simply say "no" than to put up with behavior you don't like, meanwhile secretly plotting "revenge." Cunty move, dude. Look hard in the mirror and de…

This is TMI, but my gf in a former relationship had it. I tested negative before and after the relationship. She was, however, quite vigilant about taking valtrex, and being aware when she was having an outbreak (a couple times a year). The question is: how much do you trust this girl?

It's used everywhere. Anywhere you a) have lots of structured data, and b) you want to ask ad-hoc questions of it, and get accurate answers quickly. Reddit itself runs on top of SQL. BPD can slip in quite easily if you don't know what you're looking out for. I don't fault guys too hard for getting duped. I was duped. The "lovebombing" phase can feel pretty fucking awesome, especially if you're slightly depressed or have depressed self esteem. We're natural romantics, so it's easy to buy the bullshit.

This is solid. And it perhaps partially explains why I've found myself in the same boat. The only interesting women I've met who aren't crazy, are engineers/scientists, which is somewhat rare. They make good female friends, imo, but I don't want to date or plate them (ok, one I might, but I tread carefully). I think the solution is to stop looking for intellectual stimulation from the opposite sex, from women you're looking to hook up with. Most women aren't that interesting, and the ones who ar…

The second issue is how I dress and that I wear glasses. I need to dress very nicely and the glasses need to go as they give me a nerdy vibe. Glasses can be cool, and the nerdy vibe can be a good thing, if you own it completely and rock it. I have no advice past that.

The Art Bell show has been around for a long time, and it's always been senseless and goofy entertainment. It's a fiction that can be fun if you let yourself halfway suspend disbelief for a moment - kinda like watching a campy sci-fi or horror movie. The fact that you're getting so worked up about it says something about you. "If you're a vampire or werewolf, please call in to the Art Bell show now." Also, what does any of this have to do with MGTOW?

A mastermind group is the overthinker's solution. It's the nerd's way of doing it. Ouch. As a nerd, this stings a little. There is solid advice in this post however. Thank you for that. So what you're saying is: go to meetups other than Python and Big Data Analytics. Got it. I am the alpha in certain nerd circles. It's too easy to stay within my comfort zone, however. There are different types of smart. I definitely have areas where I excel, and areas where I need radical improvement. A couple of thoughts, from experience: Since it takes 30-40 days to fully establish a habit, I aim for no more than one new big habit change per month. This keeps me on track, and focused. 12 big habits a year, if kept up, add up. On the last day of each month, I review and keep up on each habit. And re-engage the older ones I may have slacked on a bit. I'm never perfect, and that's ok. There will be high-energy times, and low-energy times. That's just how it is. Avoiding perfectionism is key. D…

I relate to this. I fell into a career in IT, because I thought I could put my head down and not have to interact with people too much. Fast forward 13 years, and my day-to-day at a fortune 50 usually involves more interpersonal interaction than heads-down coding, and I'm glad for it! It pushed me out of my comfort zone, and opened doors for me. I'm still not a pussy-slayer, though, although I know I could be. Step one is survive divorce.

Here's another perspective. Because I was raised to believe that women are only slightly different than men, and are basically "like more sensitive dudes, but with tits," I had the notion that women think and feel much the same way about stuff as I do. This was the cause of a lot of confusion. Here's where I was coming from: I don't like being told what to do. During a spat with my borderline ex-wife, where I was falsely accused of assault, I had a cop tell me point blank: "We believe you. I can see what's going on here. But if she presses charges, we'll have to take you in, because it's our job. My advice to you is leave the house and never come back. That's your only safe option. Even if divorce lawyers tell you otherwise." So I did. I slept in my car in the Walmart parking lot for a couple of weeks. In February. Totally worth it.

I can't speak for OP, but for me it's attorneys fees, court costs, and "temporary spousal support," which isn't so temporary as this thing drags on. And being dragged into court to pay for "reasonable medical bills" (which aren't at all reasonable), "brake pads, tags," "clothes," and so on (on TOP of already paying 100% of her bills, and giving her a >$1000 check free and clear on top of that each month!). Cluster Bs (borderlines and narcissists) make up roughly 5% of the population, but I posit that they cause 60%+ of the world's problems. There are way more borderlines than schizophrenics, but more people have heard of schizophrenia, which is scary. It sounds like you just got love-bombed by a Borderline. She just "split" on you for fear of abandonment. Better to abandon first than get hurt by you, in her mind. She'll be back for a stronger, more intense love-bombing. Don't fall for it. Pack it up, lock your doors, change your number, go no contact, and read up on Borderline Personality Disorder stat, so you can learn to recognize the signs. You don't need this in your life, ever! She'll suck you into a relationship, and then turn around an…

I can't come up with a good left wing argument for that position, though.

I watched my ex try to clean the house. She was simply terribly inefficient. Flitting about, leaving jobs unfinished, creating more messes than she was cleaning up, "multitasking," yakking on the phone, etc. Granted, she is BPD, so there is that. Anyway, the (rare) days when I had the house to myself, I got that shit cleaned up and completely spic 'n span in less than two hours. 10 minutes per room, 100% focused effort. Declutter, put away, wipe, scrub, then vacuum or sweep and mop, boom. Wet ro…

Congratulations. I'm getting there, man. It'll only cost me 100k by the end. Worth every penny.

Wow. If what you say is true, I'm gobsmacked. I can't even think of a solid justification off the top my head for criminalizing paternity testing, and I'm usually pretty solid at debate/playing devil's advocate. WTF France?

You're goddamned right. I'm only -$70,000 in debt and fighting for full custody against a (literally) crazy person and her monied, enabling family and their hired aggressive, bottom-feeding attorneys. Good times.

Fragile ego is also known as "narcissism." The female version is known as "borderline." They both suck.

The spendthriftiness is unreal. I'm getting out of a marriage with a borderline, and it's only going to cost me $30-40k to do it. The ironic part is that once it's finalized, I'll be financially ahead in the long run, because I'll be able to stick to a budget, pay down debts, and save; versus buying 2k per mo of worthless shit on Amazon and driving up credit card balances. Never again!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
