Nope! For every man (or woman) who will be satisfied with his sex bot collection, there will be a woman (or man) who's addicted to a VR relationship/adventure with Loki or Edward Cullen or whoever. All parties (especially socially awkward parties) stand to benefit from new technology IMO.

While I absolutely agree with your sentiment about aggregating data for statistics, I'd like to point out that both pill colors should remember that variance/standard deviation is a real thing in statistics. This means that even if Group A of people are more likely to exhibit a trait than Group B, one should generally be open to the fact that individual members of Group B might still exhibit large amounts of that trait. Also, there are many instances where the mean for Group A might be only a bi…

In this post, I equate "good qualities" with "desired qualities." Here's my take on things: all people, men and women, have a host of negative qualities, and some good qualities. For example, bad qualities for a man from a red pill perspective may include lack of frame, lack of drive, and lack of "amused mastery". Also, men are equally capable of being selfish, cold, and opportunistic. To answer your question, good qualities you may seek in women based on your posts include: sexiness, relative y…

Interesting responses. I'm going to go against the grain a bit here (judgement free zone right?): I'd rather not. There are several reasons. The first is that my fiance makes a lot more money than I will be (and I'll be making $150k/year after graduation, mind). He's also very intelligent and quite capable of overcoming the mental stress that comes with having a job that makes that much money. I have neither the ability, nor, frankly, the willpower, to work at a kind of job, given my own skillse…

Was there an official survey? I'd love to see the independent answers. :)

...This a giant ploy to get people to check out your pics on Twitter, isn't it.

I think you may have answered me twice. :P Anyways, I agree that it is normal that on an individual level minority race men who date a women who imply that they're the safe option/not exciting would be offended/angry. It makes sense. On a global level though, it's just sexual strategy, and women are free to optimize (i.e. Bitch move, sure. But not betrayal).

I agree completely! Men avoiding such women is not at all offensive to me. I just don't find women avoiding their race to be offensive or a betrayal either. It's all just strategy at the end of the day. I agree it's not a huge problem, but for reference - I grew up in an area that is predominantly Asian, and while a nontrivial number of Asian girls dated outside their race, there were also many, many girls who preferred Asians. Out of these girls, to be fair, many went for the gangster/badass ty…

I'm a little confused - if the OP grew up in a suburb with only a few other Asians, then why would she gravitate towards them at all? Assuming a uniform sampling of men to date/sleep with, of course.

I understand where the men are coming from, but I don't think it's a betrayal of race. According to red pill theory it sounds like the fraction of women who do this are are simply following a sexual strategy that makes sense under the premise that other races have more "alpha" men and their own race is safer/more "beta". To me it just seems like the same rehashed complaint that women are going for the "alpha" types when younger - which again, according to red pill theory, should be a perfectly v…

So they did! That's pretty refreshing to see, and I'm glad the main guy who did so got so heavily upvoted. It seems like a tiny but noticeable fraction of TRP is fairly racist (case in point the OP), which has the unfortunate (for red pillers) side effect of bringing down the subreddit as a whole. :/

Do you have anything constructive to debate besides negative statement after negative statement? I personally don't know enough about this woman's situation to jump to any conclusion. All I know is that among the Asian Americans I know, yeah, there is a small fraction that consciously dates other races when younger with the knowledge that they'll likely have an Asian man waiting for them later. There's also a substantial fraction who actively prefers and pursues "nice Asian guys." There's a frac…

If you're curious, I think the actual paper is here. Earlier in this thread though, drok cites a really interesting paper tracking happiness across time that accounts for external variables, which can be found here. Both studies do basic data analysis on national surveys, it seems (and I think the first paper also conducts a survey? Could be wrong). For the record, I'm not completely pleased with how happiness is gathered (self-reporting reflect social norms beyond true happiness), but it's stil…

I agree! Without all the numbers and charts (and sometimes even with this stuff), it's so hard to get a complete picture. From matching up the description in the video with a little bit of googling, by the way, I'm starting to suspect that this is the paper in question, if you're up for some light reading. :)

Thank you so much for the link! I skimmed over the paper - fascinating read. It's a fairly decently researched study using various datasets, but I don't think it's quite the one that FOX news is discussing. In the study you cite, the authors control for various factors and show that women's happiness have been declining more, relative to men, since around the 1970's. This happens across various age groups (including the 12th grade!). The video clip focuses on a study conducted by men (which this…

As a member of the scientific community I'm always suspicious of numbers that are cited without context. What study, precisely, are these people referring to? What was the sample size, was any matching done on income, etc, and how precisely was happiness determined? Subjectively it wouldn't surprise me if happiness was higher for men on average after a certain age, but something as abstract as happiness sounds difficult to pin down objectively. The discussion that takes place seems rather script…

I don't think Google immediately knows (their genders)! (edit: never mind, Joel is a pretty male name haha) In any case I do agree with your general sentiment that men were the inventors across history - although let's be honest, they probably invented for money as opposed to for women. :P Until recently, men and women did have their roles, and I can agree with you that it worked decently well in terms of pushing civilization forward. One of the things that I do like about modern times is that t…

I don't like Lena Dunham. That said, I think what she did was bad and her lack of regret is unsettling, but I personally don't think it should be necessarily criminal, legally. Same goes with the 6 year old boy. So what I'm trying to say is that the 6 year old should not have been charged with a felony. But two wrongs don't make a right and Lena Dunham should not be charged either. Unfortunately someone out there with power doesn't agree and what I think "should" be done (i.e. the boy being unch…

According to Google a woman invented the first reliable dishwasher. I agree that men have invented most things across history, but let's give credit where credit's due.

Purple. I respect many men in my life for their protective nature and their ability to follow through on that. In both genders I heavily admire mental strength - grit, if you will - but I think it generally manifests itself differently for different genders. To that end, I would like some men to respect the fact that lower average physical strength does not mean that a woman cannot be mentally strong as well. The capability is there.

I personally think all this harassment stuff has more to do with class/cultural differences than anything else. Broadly speaking it seems like people from poorer areas might be more inclined to call people out (for good or worse) on things like looks. Maybe they have less to lose? In any case, people not from this area might be unsettled because they're not used to it, and comments like that mean something else where they come from. So sure, it's harassment of a form, but certainly not illegal. …
