I would prefer to see a lot more positive alpha traits like altruism, kindness, and helping others around here rather than the edgy dark triad nonsense. This, this, a million times this. Civilization was built by brave men, willing to see beyond the needs of themselves and their own families. You keep complaining about how women are tearing it down? Well, look who's letting them. Stop complaining that it's too hard, or that the evil feminists have already won; I've been given to understand that …

Being the opposite to fat, lonely delusion femininists makes you a bad person. No, but wisdom is more than merely reversed stupidity. It's not merely enough to "look at feminism and do the opposite"; you have to actually try things and see what works.

Depends on how 'weird' you like your books.

Oh. You want a FAST way to make money. Have rich parents, or get lucky. Otherwise, it's the slow way for you. And before anyone says "not if you work your ass off!" - working your ass off is the 'slow way'. It's what SuperAwesomeness is doing right now, and it isn't enough for him. There are no tricks that people at your level have access to. If there was a sure-fire way for average people to make above-average income, it wouldn't be "above-average", would it?

Learn to program computers. You'll make about $80K/year at entry-level. Make sure you learn to put up with ridiculous shit, and learn to SAVE YOUR FUCKING MONEY. Don't blow it all on bullshit tech toys, just to impress your tech geek friends. Set your lifestyle expenses at $40K/year, and SAVE THE OTHER HALF. Do this for 5 years, and you will have $200,000 saved. Invest that shit, preferably in some USEFUL real estate. Don't go for any of that house-flipping shit; buy a commercial property and a …

Femininity means empathy, intuition, and strength-in-vulnerability. Masculinity is power; femininity is resilience. Masculinity is stoicism; femininity is empathy. Masculinity is logical problem-solving; femininity is intuitively guessing the right answer. Masculinity is solving the problem directly in front of you; femininity is protecting the long-term goals that make solving that problem important in the first place. In an ideal world, these compliment each other, and people can choose how mu…

I guess the point I'm trying to make is... Don't get cancer. NOW you tell me. On the other hand, maybe you take the plunge, get married (or just live together) and you're both happy for 20 years. Find out you get cancer, she's not just going to drop you in just a few short weeks. Months maybe, years probably. In my case, it was around 7-8 years, and it's hard to say how long she (or my friends) "stuck it out", because it's hard to say how long the whole situation lasted. I didn't find out that t…

I actually was raised by narcissists, yes. And I prefer here because you people actually own your narcissism - I don't have to pretend like there's such a thing as "healthy" relationships in RP. Gaining and maintaining dominance is how I ensure that my needs are met in an otherwise indifferent or even hostile world.

Except I'm not just talking about 'her'; I'm ALSO talking about the friends. Why should they stick around once I'm no longer capable of being worthwhile? We're not exactly in a culture that supports "pay in honorably for 40 years and you'll be taken care of honorably after that" any more, and I don't want to be yet another mumbling homeless guy that no one gives a shit about, yet I ALSO don't want to be yet another suicide coward.

This situation is actually one of the most optimal places to practice Amused Mastery that you will ever find. The idea that he's flirting with your date should amuse you. (I don't mean just "act amused", I mean it should seriously amuse you. You've got a puppy coming in to try to steal your dinner - you can treat the puppy like an equal, or you can watch and see what it does from an understanding that nothing it can possibly do will harm you or shake your frame.) If she's responsive, THAT should…

Indeed. That still doesn't help me with strategy. Also, whenever I've tried meditation, I've wound up with pretty nasty flashbacks/waking nightmares. I may not be doing it right, but if so, I need someone trustworthy to work me through a few sessions, that won't mind if I flip out in the middle of a session. And ultimately, I'm having a hard time trusting anyone with that.

Behave how you want to behave. I've had police called. I'd rather that not happen anymore.

Learn narrative. As a man, you're used to looking at structures (stats and facts) and constructing the narrative yourself, in your mind. In fact, you probably gain pleasure doing so - there's something fun, for a guy, in being given the pieces of something and then putting them together yourself. It's like solving a puzzle. Most girls aren't like that. They want a coherent story that makes sense, and they want that story entertainingly relayed to them. Your natural ability to turn stats into sto…

You learn to craft the 8-10s into good wives. Think of "stage 1 game" as the ability to craft her short-term behavior enough to get laid; "stage 2 game" is the ability to craft her medium-term behavior enough to sustain a LTR on your terms; "stage 3 game" is the ability to craft her long-term, permanent behavior enough that you can trust her as part of your life. Each stage takes about twice as much effort as the stage before it, at the very least - more if you're both constantly exposed to soci…

I was invited to a New Year's Eve party by my current HB8 roommate/play partner. Since I wasn't there to pick up any action, I expected a quiet evening of discourse and observation. Hoo boy. Most of HB8's friends are highly intellectual girls that just graduated from college in STEM fields - except for one, whom I will now refer to as HB9+. HB9+ just divorced her second husband, was horribly drunk BEFORE she got to the party, and was there with her White Knight. Cue eyebrow twitching. On the oth…

My guess: he sees potential in you but is frustrated at how young and immature you are. He wishes he could date you but feels sleazy because of the age difference, and when you do something immature it reminds him of that and makes him feel bad for being attracted to you. What do you want to do about that?

Stability, loyalty, and respect: yeah, let's talk about how to get that stuff. That would be why I posted, yes.

The problem is, I don't know what she will cook and even if I do, I wouldn't know what to buy, so I can't go ahead and take the lead. There's your leadership failure mode. Do you know how to cook? If not, learn. It's a worthwhile skill, and makes you more independent. And then, even when your girlfriend is the primary cook, at least you'll know what to buy if you need to go to the store yourself. If you do know how to cook, then either get a better sense of your and your girlfriends' supply chai…

If you're naturally beta and need structure provided for you, the military will be a good alternative to immersing yourself in what passes for 'culture' around these parts. You're still selling yourself for a pittance, but at least you have a chance of coming out of it with your dignity intact. (Albeit not a good one; treating soldiers well went out of style in the 1950s) If you think there's the remotest chance that you can maintain your own structure without having it spoonfed to you, avoid th…

This is a great point. I wouldn't endorse buying gifts during a period of consistently bad behavior, which is how I was reading the original post. But this tactic should work excellently if the behavior is submissive and supplicating, not demanding. Absolutely. You get what you reward.

Another thing you can do with the begging scenario, if you're interested in more than a ONS: Actually choose, in your mind, how much you're willing to pay for stuff for her. This is transactional, so you should be willing to accept that she's going to get something out of this too. Now pick a number and then stick to it. But DO NOT CAVE IN HER PRESENCE. Here's a fun insight about behavioral conditioning: Delayed, random rewards drive conditioning far, far more than immediate and consistent rewar…

No, if YOU did that in the US you would be labeled a chester and have your ass beaten in prison. Alpha isn't just about chicks; properly-honed alpha game can get away with ANYTHING.

Feminist controlled world? Deal with it, if you can't who cares that you were unable to compete? Yes. Communism? Deal with it. We did. Global thermonuclear holocaust? Why should anyone care that humanity couldn't cut it. Who exactly would be left to care? You seem to focus an awful lot on how to change the world, instead of how to change yourself. Which requires more energy? The strong can adapt to anything; the weak are no longer here to complain. And if something comes along that you aren't st…

Here's my current theory: Refusing to have sex with low-quality women is a handicapping signal. It demonstrates that your value is high enough that you can afford to discriminate. Likewise, failing to discriminate indicates that you might be desperate or otherwise unworthy of higher-quality mating - which will quickly become self-fulfilling. Men who were hardwired to discriminate tended to do better than men who just learned to do it, because sex is such a basic drive and because willpower is a …

Being somewhat new here, I'm wondering how often the parallels between NAWALT and "Schroedinger's Rapist" have been pointed out? I can't imagine that it's escaped notice yet.

You're also conveniently forgetting that in societies where women are treated like objects, the majority of men get a really shitty deal as well. All the best women go to men with money. Genetic fitness is a quality that attracts women, when you deprive women of any choice then matrimony becomes a matter of money. Seriously, unless you're in the top 5% of earners this idea is terrible. The bottom 50% get pretty much nothing. So, be the top 5%. Men are disposable and women are objects, and if you…
