I should have stated it better in my original post, but the comment you replied to is the more accurate view. My personal experience is still consistent, because most relationships I've had, I haven't really been in a good situation, and they just made it worse. But I have had some great relationships, and it was my own fault those got screwed up.

Thanks, I do jujitsu, it helped a lot. I was much much worse off without it. Lost a lot of money trying to make a business. But I do see the general theme is just to keep trying and doing stuff, I feel like I have tried for years, but I will still keep looking.

I did check my test level, normal, and I'm in pretty good shape (90 mins fitness, 6 days a week, good diet); definitely better than being out of shape, but not a panacea

This is the most intellectually lazy concept I can think of with the youth of today. I understand the distain, I had my career in STEM because I thought if I couldn't find my passion, at least, I'd do something for society. But once something is work, it slowly begins to suck, and I've had terrible bosses my whole career, which is why I tried to replace my income, but am worse off than before

That's pretty much the exact experience I went through. It's only worthwhile if you are a millionaire or working for yourself. Having to work a stressful job for a boss you hate just to get by in the city is not worth it. I think by RP's value system: living in a cheap place working for the town or something is not successful. And no I wouldn't really care what other people think, but in most measurable aspects my life would be worse off. But again, it could be therapeutic for a year or so.

several mostly FBA simple type stuff, but also a few apps, trying to get a relatively passive income going, my problem was because I don't have a passion, I tried to just follow trends. In retrospect a bad idea, but I didn't want to not try anything. At least I did learn and teach myself a lot of things, and I think I can do it eventually with a new approach.

When I joined the military (I was a Marine) I expected it to meet a lot of those archaic needs you described, it does satisfy a lot of needs, and I think the Marines have a great culture, but do be prepared to find yourself wanting more still, and don't expect it to last once you're out. Sebastian Junger talks about this.

I have made adjustments, mostly just lowering carbs, and generally 5 days a week I eat the same meals that I've optimized over the last 3 years. It has helped for sure. ​ I only recently started fasting (about 3 weeks ago) and noticed right away I got leaner.

I did do nofap for 3 months. I find that nofap lite (like only once a week) is pretty effective, although admittedly right now I've gotten lazy and will do usually: Sun, Mon, Tue so at least I have a few days in between if I go out on Saturday.

that is good advice, it's something I've thought of a bit as well, it's definitely liberating (nothing matters = just do what you enjoy), and good that someone else found it worked for them. But again, I don't really enjoy anything. I even thought women would solve this, the last girl I met at a club, I brought her back to my place, and I couldn't even bring myself to fuck her. Sounds embarrassing, but I don't even really care. That was 3 months ago, and I don't really see the purpose of picking…

My main goal after I finish college will probably just be to stockpile as much money as I can. I did this for 5 years, I was making over $100K a year, and tried to start a business because work was soul crushing, but ended up losing most the money trying to get it running. Not because I would enjoy it, but at least I wouldn't be working for someone else. If you succeed in building your own income, that would be a consolation prize I guess. Keep your head up.
