Pretty much this. When you get the message, hang up the phone. Also gone. Take care all.

It's definitely not not enigmatic. Unless it is otherwise, in which case it's at least frustratingly unfathomable. Long may it remain so.

Codification implies identifiable leadership, consensus, values, principles and even direction. Kinda defeats the purpose of going YOUR OWN way. Plus, leaves door open for entryism.

There's a more interesting revelation here - the overt statement that 'social justice' is effectively oppressing heterosexual white males. There's not even any attempt to hide it. If anyone tries to justify being an SJW in future show them this picture. If they agree with the sentiment, they admit aspiring to be racist oppressors. And with that, you may ignore them, not even bother to try and engage and respond and instead continue to enjoy for yourself all the wonderful things that life has to …

MGTOW is a threat to his revenue stream, hence attacks. End of.

There's often a lack of humour on this sub so I enjoy the occasional bouts of levity when they come along amongst the morosity. The author's being light-hearted guys!

Women were completely absent from the history of video games until they grew immensely popular, and there is no way women will pave the way for the next cultural leap. They already want the path carved for them. Ah sorry I have to correct you on that one. Anyone remember Sierra On-Line games/franchises from the 80s to 90s (Kings Quest, Space Quest, Quest for Glory, Leisure Suit Larry, Phantasmagoria etc.)? This was a pioneering gaming company which I'd argue played a significant role in populari…

This was the crux of the article for me; bemoaning the lack of an ongoing stream of attention (which must be from the right kind of guy, else it's a potential hate crime) and, thus, validation. Which, of course, is men's fault. MGTOW is the natural conclusion arising from any or all of the logical, financial, cost-benefit, wellbeing, self-preservational and risk management analyses of modern society. EDIT: Comma

Good post and insights. Hope that income goes through a tax-efficient structure otherwise that's a decent take for HMRC! That by the way is a good thing to consider for everybody who has any income outside of employment.

Whatever activity you choose to focus your efforts and energy into, your only regret will be that you didn't take it up sooner! New friends, new skills, measurable improvement in your abilities/skills in that activity, potential competition entries... these outcomes are life-affirming. Even if you try something and it's not for you, you tried it, which is better progress than many people I know. So, if you're feeling even 1% better, ride that wave and act! Please reply and let us know when and w…

Blissful, save that relationship angst is easily substituted by other, non-relationship angst(s). Such is the mind. Will PM you later.

If true, at least she was honest and upfront and you're not/weren't under any illusions as to expectations. I'd have thanked her for her honesty, told her I wasn't interested in such an arrangement, ended the date politely and civilly and thought no more about it. It wouldn't have been for me to lecture or try to change her, as both would have been pointless and a waste of valuable energy on my part. What benefit do you gain from continuing to dwell on and feel shitty about something that happen…

From the responses of women that I've read online and from those I've spoken to in person, this announcement has not been well-received.

I've got such a broad and varied/unusual range of life experiences and current aspirations that I'm fulfilling that people just associate it as part of the eccentric package that is me, so I get away with it.

For me it's a combination of age, laziness and other priorities - I don't care about fashion, I can't be bothered learning about what's in/out and I'd rather spend the cash on other stuff; been this way for as long as I can remember and I don't read anything more into it.

Sounds like you've got your priorities right! You may not have the means now, but if you're on a career track your earnings and opportunities will increase as you get older and better at your job and accumulate experience and contacts. Focus on you, your career and what that is a gateway to - exploring life, enjoying friendships and bettering yourself. Be very cautious around women in any context; one spiteful and unfounded allegation is all it takes to bring crashing down that which you are car…

"You don't get to insult me and embarrass me in front of my friends. I will make you pay." I'm willing to bet that the loss of face - real or perceived - in front of her (presumably female) friends was one of the key drivers of her behaviour. No crime is more heinous to a woman. I've seen that show play out before and it's not pretty.

Even if you had a kid, how receptive would they actually be to it all when coming up against wider societal expectations/concepts of validation?

I think it's more encouragement and support for others, given the external bemusement/confusion/hostility people who have decided to GTOW face regularly. You'll see plenty of posts from people on here who enjoy minimalist/off-the-grid lifestyles with minimal outlay and reliance on wider society, and others still on minimal income but have crafted a lifestyle that they are quite content with. To each their own (which I understand is the point of the whole thing) - I quite enjoy reading how other …

I've sourced components from a few different retailers and applied gift vouchers I had outstanding. Circa $1,250 for the PC (including a water-cooled GTX 980 TI) and just over $1000 for the Vive kit inc. delivery. I've gone off some early-look reviews and comparisons and opted for the Vive - not only does it have the power of Steam behind it but the room tracking and front-camera justify it for me. Plus Desktop Theater Mode and (hopefully) VorpX will keep me going in the meantime while waiting f…

Plenty, but the highlight is learning to fly light aircraft. It is a skillset that can lead to (depending where you are) a sense of freedom that I cannot begin to describe. Once I've got my license, on to aerobatics - the idea of knowing an aircraft and its limits inside out and being able to manipulate it with precision, at speed, with awareness of the impact of weather and the air around you is beautiful in its complexity and intricacy.

This played out regularly almost everywhere I went. The single-mindedness was stupefying! My friends from other states said this is particularly acute in NYC but of course it is by no means the exception.

TL:DR: Fear of women not good, calculated conclusion/risk management seems fine to me. I agree with Sargon, and approach it from a fairly calculated risk management perspective. I have female friends who I am quite comfortable hanging out with at times, and some who are even anti-feminist. I don't agree that, in the main, women are to be feared or that this would be a sustainable and healthy approach to functioning in today's society. I'm new to this but offer a perspective that, if you choose t…
