The comments seem pretty balanced, but some made my blood boil. You do have a point. However, I don't think it was wrong "because she was a girl" as you mention. The only reason I linked it to this sub-reddit was because the issue with the double standard of how the school staff handled the incident. Perhaps it was just a random incident or perhaps it is the symptom of double standards, I'm not sure, I just thought this sub-reddit would appreciate (I couldn't think of a better word) the story. | /r/MensRights | 12/09/13 10:17 PM |

I hope the mother is able to get somewhere with this, and I hope the boy didn't have any lasting damage done to him. | /r/MensRights | 12/09/13 10:08 PM |

The comments seem pretty balanced, but some made my blood boil.(On mobile now so I apologize for typos and such) I agree. As I said the main reason i posted it was because the mother was pointing out the double standard there. Also I was just angry enough for her and her son that I felt I needed to bring it up somewhere. I hope she does escalate it. I don't personally think the girl deserves juvenile detention but she needs to be punished (I have the same sentiments when the sexes are reversed in situations like this. I feel it's better to correct the child… | /r/MensRights | 12/09/13 05:25 PM |

The comments seem pretty balanced, but some made my blood boil. The reason I thought of posting it here, is because apparently when the boy reported it to his teacher, he/she said that he (the boy) had no proof and nothing was done. Even after several witnesses confirmed the boy's story it still seems as if the girl hasn't been punished. The mother is rightfully upset because she feels if the roles were reversed, her son would have been suspended or worse with out any proof "needed." | /r/MensRights | 12/09/13 04:56 PM |
| 3 | My brother needs help. Here we are, in /r/MensRights where we constantly hear about police not taking males seriously about threats from females, and all you have to offer for advice is "sack up" and "call the police?" Saying something like "sack up" is akin to saying "man up" and has no real place here. However, OP did say that they have a restraining order so I do agree with you that he should call the police when she is in violation of it (which would be when she calls, sitting outside there house, etc). However, t… | /r/MensRights | 08/05/13 07:00 PM |
| 4 | My brother needs help.Nobody can make you talk to them on the phone for 2 hours, your brother is participating in this circus... Unless she is threatening him, his family or herself in some way for not paying attention, that would be enough to keep someone on the phone. That's one of the things that kept me in my relationship with my ex for a couple extra months. | /r/MensRights | 08/05/13 06:19 PM |
| 35 | Girlfriend pulls an april fools joke, boyfriend freaks out, she slits his throat and cries assaultI find it funny that some of the people commenting on that are blaming the boyfriend for taking the joke poorly. Oh the irony. | /r/MensRights | 02/04/13 05:37 AM |
| 1 | Women taking husband's name upon marriage? OpinionsAs long as both people in the relationship come to an agreement and are ok with that agreement, I don't think it really matters who takes / keeps what ever name they want. When my wife and I got married we both changed our last names to something new. I have had a hell of a time getting my info changed because nearly every place I have had to call or go into finds it suspicious that I have done so. I've also been directly insulted twice for "taking my wife's name" until they take a look marriage… | /r/MensRights | 12/03/13 06:05 PM |
| 5 | Need the opinion from you guys on my current situation.I love my wife and she loves me. We respect each other and treat each other as equals... No really we do. We've been together through the best and worst for the past eight and a half years. Our first child is due later this year and at the moment, we couldn't be happier. Sadly however, you're right that negative news "sells" better. You're also right about finding good women, I can not imagine my self with another woman. | /r/MensRights | 05/03/13 02:29 AM |
| 5 | Let's talk rape.It seems to me just from browsing this sub that MRAs are not just afraid of jail time from false rape accusations. The problem has just as much to do with consequences of just being accused. Even if there is no conviction of the person that is accused is wearing a scarlet R on their face for the rest of their life in that community. If it just so happens that it becomes a national / global story, then they wear that letter every where; whether they're actually innocent or not. There is the perce… | /r/MensRights | 04/03/13 05:43 PM |
| 8 | Please don't call me mutilated anymoreI should apologize, too, for my knee-jerk reaction to what you said. Considering how trends are changing and boys who are uncircumcised are becoming more common, soon boys who are circumcised will be dealing with what uncircumcised boys were dealing with in locker rooms when I was a child. They'll be singled out and made fun of for looking different. Being called mutilated on a day-to-day basis could be very unnerving. It doesn't change the way I feel. However, I can see your point, too. | /r/MensRights | 13/02/13 02:25 AM |
| 20 | Please don't call me mutilated anymoreI'm circumcised as well and I feel like I was mutilated. If you feel like you weren't that's fine, but don't tell me I'm not and can not refer to it as such. | /r/MensRights | 13/02/13 01:56 AM |
