It's been fine for me for quite a while (i.e. most of my adult life). This sort of advice may be helpful to a lot of women trying to get a partner, but it's far from essential, especially when you truly settle down. Edit: As another poster said, there will be men and women on both sides of this opinion. I don't think it's fair to say one side is better than the other. There's not much point in micromanaging your relationship to this extent as long as you have the core principles in place, in mos…

I'll admit I've never intentionally farted as a point in front of my SO, or probably even burped. But if I've done either unintentionally I can't remember a time either of us have even noticed. But really, if you can't pee while your SO is in the shower or something equivalently "private" then you're making your life unnecessarily inconvenient. Not to mention the destruction having children has on these relatively arbitrary feminine mysteries.

While "crazy-genius" types may seem "deeper" than the average person, the truth is every individual is unknowably complex. A long-term romantic partnership is a struggle to form a real, perfect union with another being. In every person there is incomprehensible beauty. The creative/intellectual efforts of your former partners will seem trivial in comparison to achieving even a shallow, but True, understanding of another person. That all may sound too ~spiritual~ for this sub, but there ya go.

She feels bitter because everyone around her is getting married, and I haven’t popped the question yet. Like the poster above said, this isn't a jealousy thing, and it's probably not as petty as you seem to think it is. If she really is RPW inclined, this is her entire life. I can guarantee you that if your SO came on here and posted this situation asking for advice, this community would tell her to pack up and leave before it's too late. Being with someone who is not committed at her age is jus…

This is a ridiculous post, and has no place here. How does this have anything to do with self-improvement? Achieving happiness in one's relationship? The woman who wrote this sounds classless. Passing this sort of judgement on others is not what RPW is about, it's about focusing on yourself. It's one thing for these posts to appear on TRP as an outlet of frustration for men, but this sort of political ranting does nothing to improve this sub.

Why would you even want to be with someone who had such radically different views? You don't exactly sound indifferent about Christianity, you sound actively dismissive of it. Christian culture is responsible for the deference and femininity of Christian women, it's not some coincidence.

"And in this very action – without even saying a single word – the husband may be won over to obedience in Christ because of her faithfulness in serving and preferring him before herself." I think this meaning also has a secular counterpart. Basically, a good wife will make her husband more successful, almost automatically. Besides all the direct ways women support men (domestically, sexually etc.) just by having a good wife a man's social status, and confidence, is on a higher level and he will…

This is obviously a problem, and with time it will surely be solved. When my SO went through a bout of low-libido it was definitely more emotionally uncomfortable than physically uncomfortable for me. But I didn't realize this at first. I had always considered myself a "sexual person," and I thought I needed sex to feel fulfilled and content. By talking with my SO about why he wasn't interested in sex at that point in his life I began thinking about why I thought I needed sex in my life. While s…

We are very old-fashioned and so far 9 months into our relationship, things have consistently been absolutely amazing for the both of us. No honeymoon phase or anything silly like that. You should be more understanding of your family's position, no matter how happy you are 9 months is not a long relationship in any sense of the word. I'm not demeaning your relationship, but you are in the honeymoon phase, and there's nothing bad about that. Your honeymoon phase will hopefully last as long as pos…

Most guys are at least kind enough to be uncomfortable taking the virginity of someone they have no interest in committing to. It's totally possible the 4-5 guys who have been interested in her really just wanted someone to hook up with, and a virgin wouldn't make an ideal plate at all.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
