Your life is not ruined. In fact, based on She has bipolar with rapid cycling and rage issues. I have been drinking a lot this past year to deal with how my life has turned to shit. you are now finally in a position to restart in a much better position than you were in. You are still going to go through some shit, and you are going to have to work hard to have a good relationship with your kids, but it can be done. It will be better for the kids to NOT grow up in a toxic environment and think th…

they are both mental health professionals I assume they were trying for self-help. They failed.

Do you mean why would I set myself up with a feminist woman or what would I set myself up for a workshop run by feminists in how to be a man? well, both... I feel for you; you've been put thru the ringer by your ex. I'm with some of the other commenters: ditch the feminist and skip the course. The money will buy you a nice ski weekend in Vermont.

My first thought was "who the hell pays money for this shit", so I looked at your post history to see if your were some sort of troll. Well, no, evidently you're not... but seriously man... with what you went through with your ex-wife (are you divorced yet?), you're going to consider putting up with this sort of bullshit? Instead of the money you'd spend on this course, I'd recommend a couple of sessions with a good therapist to figure out why you want to set yourself up like this.

I think if your goal is to avoid child support you are going to be disappointed. I'm in the US, and here the standard is that child support is owed to the child, and a parent cannot waive that obligation on behalf of the child. I assume it's similar in Canada but someone else (ideally a lawyer) can confirm. Since you're not even married alimony sounds like a stretch even assuming you had a good and reasonable basis to request it (ie, you supported her career by making huge sacrifices of your own…

TL:DR at the front: Get a paternity test DO NOT let her move in with you Get a lawyer asap to help you avoid doing anything that will make this situation worse. Here's your best case scenario: She becomes a loving partner, has the baby, continues working and you three live happily ever after. Based on your description so far that seems really really unlikely. Here's your worst case scenario, which sounds much more likely based on what you've described: She moves in with you and continues being a…

when you get that call where she realizes that she's sorry and she misses you and she can't live without you and won't you just come over so you can make up.... DO NOT FUCKING GO!!

don't beat yourself up for feeling sorry for her... but your responsibility is to your kids... and so is hers... so if the kids are having to do without and she has the ability to pay, she should be

I even agreed to not to use the state to force child support Can you elaborate on this? I believe that child support is generally seen as the child's inherent right, and cannot be waived by the parents. Was support ordered by the court as part of the divorce? If so it is owed and is for the benefit of the children, NOT to "punish" the paying parent. That's the way you have to look at it.

This is the only part I disagree with: You never know what she is capable of doing. I think she's shown exactly what she is capable of doing. OP has had the marital equivalent of a gun pointed at him.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
