Especially at 17, You could go as far as setting ''study dates'' with girls at either yours or her parents house. Fast food restaurants are also a possibility. As far as being in a rural area that is a bit of a toughfy. You say you already have the confidence to approach girls which for many guys is the hardest part so I say go for the college freshmen if you can. Otherwise dating apps will be your best bet.
