You can decide not to do it because it caused you pain but the kid isn't going to know anything else. I didn't know I wasn't until puberty. That's theirs and this is mine mentality when I saw something different.

Boys look down at a certain age and it's whatever. If mine comments that his looks like an anteater, it's just going to be his normal. I will listen if he sounds in pain but I really want nothing to do with it. It's not my job to criticize others choices. Mine was skipped due to medical reasons and let him figure it out is how I was raised.
