I have buddies that got hit with continuing to pay for the mortgage (100% of it) and then cover their own expenses. These were temporary orders, but they were "blood bath" orders financially. You are not under any judicial order to pay that mortgage. You can stop. But you should give her a heads up. But now you have an order to get the home listed, so it may not we worth the drama of dropping the mortgage payment or the risk to your credit report if she decides not to cover it. I'd ride it out. …

Problem: How do I get out of my head and just go out and meet people for the fun of it. You just do it. Even if you don't want to. Even if you're not motivated. Even if you have anxiety over it. It's like starting to run or starting to work out. You won't like it and it can be very hard at first, but you commit to doing it. For me, putting it on my calendar with an event made me "commit" to doing it. And usually most of the fear of the thing went away when I was actually out of the house. But yo…

WHY DO I CRY, WHY DO I CARE.....LOST AND CONFUSED..... Because you're normal and got hit over the head with betrayal. It takes time. A lot of time. When she "monkey branched" she basically by-passed having to deal with the emotional issues that you're dealing with. If the child is happy, you're doing it right. Hang in there.

From what I've seen (and I've seen a lot of family court cases), I've never seen a judge decide possession in a manner where one parent gets every weekend. Frankly, I wouldn't want every weekend - it'll limit your free time too much. You have 50/50 possession. If mom wants "more stability" for the child, a 7 year old can handle a 7/7 arrangement. Every kid is different, but 7 is old enough, IMHO. If you give up 50/50 possession, you're putting yourself at risk of a subsequent child support case.…

Not adding you to social media isn't necessarily a red flag. Social media can be "monitored" and a new "boyfriend" can inflame custody and divorce issues. Fly under the radar. Especially with kids. Having 2 kids and dad in jail (he'll get out eventually) are things you'll want to consider.

Everything is abnormal and normal. This is right. Look, you know what is setting her off. For your own financial protection, STOP DOING THAT - IE, don't tell her. She's going through a divorce, a loss of financial protection, both of her kids are bailing out, and you're dating... Yea, she's probably going nuts. And you're not doing a damn thing wrong. Note your description of the financial settlement is meaningless - we can't see if it was fair (or not) based on that. Just FYI. I was just served…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
