Same! A rough patch in life resulting in disrespect for myself landed me in the worst and most toxic relationship ever. I kept going back to that relationship like a fly on a moving pile of shit because I felt like that's all I deserved. It was like that shark meme: "LOVE MEEEEE" "NO GTFO" over and over. Now I can be normal and state my needs as well without fearing that expressing one minor thing will make everything fall apart.

I'm guilty of this too. Dude said I "made him" knock over a shelf because I got him angry. He went to go take a poo and smoke cigarettes in the bathroom which I find fucking disgusting, while I cleaned the whole thing up. Edit to say I'm fine with the pooping, just smoking cigs indoors is gross to me.

It's sad that a lot of men refuse to seek that kind of help. I know it can be frustrating, because I know first hand it feels like calling your internet provider and explaining the same issue 500 times to different people until someone gets it... but it's worth it when you find the person who gets it. It kinda sucks being reminded that there are some people who think women are just baby factories and not actual people with interests and careers. Not gonna lie sometimes I actually do struggle with being in my mid 30s and not feeling remotely ready to get knocked up yet. But then again my cousin was like that and just popped out her second kid at 46.
