Gym is always good, and you can enjoy small talk with a few buddies or coaches if its a small local one. I went for a long walk the other day because it was nice outside, ended up being gone for about 3 hours, no one nagging me to come home or where I was, it was a safe enough walk, and i didn't even need to bring a phone, totally disconnected from the outside worlds bullshit.
