Same Sex RelationshipsNo one changes anyone else's mind around here, and that's okay. I'm certainly not trying to! I'm trying to understand the people who have adopted this ideology, and why they have. I found a lot of the generalizations made to go much too far and wanted to see how those making them would defend their beliefs in the face of relationships that poke a lot of holes - such that I might better understand. And you may even empathize (though not necessarily agree with) repugnant points of view. Well I cer… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/01/16 02:43 PM
Same Sex RelationshipsThat problem exists in relationships of any composition and you know it. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/01/16 12:47 PM
Same Sex RelationshipsDo you think that stability is less common than heterosexual relationships? | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/01/16 03:33 AM
Same Sex RelationshipsButch/femme happens a lot. I guess it's less common than when I was a child (1990s) and was the established norm but it's certainly not uncommon. I guess if we have a scale that goes from 1 to 10 from most femme to most butch I'm probably a 3 or a 4 depending on the day and date anyone anywhere on the scale but I find the 5-8 women the most attractive. My most recent ex was probably 7 and so is the girl I'm talking to right now. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/01/16 03:04 AM
Same Sex RelationshipsThose two concepts sound very similar and sort of part and parcel of one another. One wouldn't really exist or function without the other. The inspiration for this post was all the.... welll.... blatantly sexist posts saying that women are children and unstable and all that kind of thing and need a strong man to keep her in line and that concept is pretty gross to me and also pretty foreign to me. While cheating and moving on to the next relationship before ending the current one sure does exist… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/01/16 02:57 AM
Same Sex RelationshipsIn the interests of honesty and discussion, I'm a lesbian. I'm just trying to understand people who hold this belief and part of doing that for me is seeing how people apply the philosophy beyond they own first hand experiences, testing their theories against controls, comparing their observations to my experiences. That kinda deal. Just to clarify branch swinging is trying to say moving from partner to partner? Hypergamy is the belief that women try to find the most fit partner? Comfort tests a… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/01/16 01:26 AM
Same Sex RelationshipsYes absolutely gay and lesbian relationships and culture are very different, but in theory if an ideology speaks to the nature of men and women it could be extrapolated to gay and lesbian relationships - even though they look different - lest the theory not actually speak to the nature of these groups and instead something else entirely. It does certainly seem RP is focused on heterosexual relationships, which sorta makes sense it seems to have been started by and is lead by straight men. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/01/16 01:13 AM
Same Sex RelationshipsFair enough, apathy is a reasonable enough response. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/01/16 01:00 AM
Same Sex RelationshipsThis seems to describe why gay men might support red pill movements and why red pill movements are at odds with feminism, but not the dynamics within a same sex relationship, which was more my question. If there isn't anything already written feel free to share your own thoughts of course. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 15/01/16 12:59 AM
