Why? What did he do to deserve being treated like a king?

So true! Thank you for this contribution; more women need to see it! There is NO clock not anymore.

Thank you for starting off my morning with laughter! Whoever this woman is bravo and hats off to you!! I can’t wait to try this myself eventually! Gotta vet till o meet the possible HVM until then.

😂😂👇🏽 this made my stomach hurt from laughing so much. Spot on! Preach sis! “Also - wtf is up with all these unsuccessful nerds giving "advice" in OLD subs?? Why would I take advice on how to build a house from someone who's never been let inside one?? Get outta here with that 🤡nonsense.” FDS helped me realize I don’t need to give anyone the benefit of the doubt. If something makes me uncomfortable I’m out the door and never look back. As far as gifts for oneself I love boozy beach days so maybe …

You saved yourself the time, effort, and energy that a low effort, low value, and insecure ahole would have sucked out of you. I know it hurts at first you do feel that twinge of “why” but it gets so much easier as time goes on because you realize how amazing you are and how it is a privilege for someone to have access to you and your time!

This is dead on accurate. The start of insidious kind of “love” where you no longer recognize yourself anymore; rob you of your confidence, you can never do anything right, don’t trust your own thought process, makes you question your very existence.

All of my girlfriends have been telling me to date “younger” guys 25-30. I am 33 for reference and I always found the idea weird as my LVM ex was 5 years older than me, most dates 3-7 years older than me but I truly believe they are onto something. Younger guys seem less intimidated, less sexist, and more open to a partnership vs caveman bs.

I never trust or date any man who “travels,” for work anymore. Been there, done that. Huge mistake.

Thank you for posting this ❤️ I needed to read it. Trying to limit the chasing my mind is doing for a more than likely LVM. I don’t know why the hope of a futile future starts but it’s so hard pulling myself back because of that stupid hope.

Honestly, its a struggle all women who want marriage and kids face when that invisible clock starts ticking in the mind. You start feeling “he wasn’t that bad, I could push through it for next 30 at least I’d have my kids etc” so the first thing I do is I look at the unhappily married people I know who have settled for LVM and hate their lives at the moment. I tell myself being alone (for the time being) saves me the stress of having a husband who cheats or verbally abuses me. The second thing I…

I burst out laughing reading your comment!! 100%. My ex was British and every successful date (guys I liked enough for a second) after him were abroad. American men are so lazy with everything including appearance. Like yay I should reward you for looking halfway decent? Gtfoh

You aren’t losing interest in men. You’ve lost interest in dating due to the number of LVM you’ve likely encountered. Now it bores you. You’re jaded. Lol welcome to the club! Same exact boat and don’t plan to do anything to change it currently. I am taking a break from dating after 2 months of being on an app where people made me yawn or question why I even bothered to OLD. Reset yourself and then go back into dating once you’re inclined to.

I prefer tall men but I tried once with a short guy and on the second date he made a face and asked, “do you really need to wear heels.” Lol yep one and done. No thank you.

I laughed out loud reading this and I really just went into my phone and did exactly that! Completely spot on why am I naming someone in my phone when I haven’t even decided if I’m going to date him?

It’s a tactic from that stupid male dating handbook. They believe by giving you details of what “freaks” the exes were that you’ll go above and beyond to please them in the bedroom. It’s laughable. I told one guy “that’s nice she sounds amazing I think you should go back.” He looked at me like I had a screw loose.

Also, adding in coming back for validation that he can “still get it.” My demented ex won’t grow and change his sub par behavior but somehow year after year he thinks checking in on me will magically open the gates for him. Like no. Go away and never come back.

Just a freaking big ass thank you to the redditor sister who invited me to this sub! I agree wholeheartedly with this post and am so thankful there’s a safe space for women to actually support women without being bashed!

My GRANDMA has always encouraged me and my cousins to have a back-up account “just in case.” She even does the obligatory check in on the wedding day lol. It’s bullshit that a woman making herself secure is making men INSECURE.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
