Depends where you’re at. When my wife and I had kids we went from a tiny $1600 apt to a $3000 apt. Now that we have a third we pay $3500. Kids are extremely expensive because you can’t really properly care for the kids and be cheap. Like if it were just me I’d totally be down to go van life and live off as little as possible. Not possible to do that with kids.
Fair, I hope it doesn’t ever happen. Any time I see people fighting over stuff like that, I think of that guy in SF that got dragged to death because he tried to get his laptop back from someone who snatched it. Not worth it.
