the incident at the Women's Center was a separate one. Old Campus is adjacent to the Women's Center, but if i am understanding the article correctly, the present incident was not targeted at the YWC

actually, it says "where most freshman women reside." Old Campus is the site of all of the freshmen dorms (both men and women), not a location for female-specific housing --> most female students live elsewhere. that said, i seriously doubt they were yelling it at each other.

thanks for sharing. that is very interesting, as the conventional wisdom (at least on this subreddit) seems to be that sex is improved by the foreskin. i dont disagree that that is theoretically possible, but ive always been skeptical when the claim is made with such certitude but not informed by experience of the alternative. very interesting to hear that at least for one person that hasn't been the case.

i respect what you're saying and upvoted accordingly, but i don't think im "completely wrong" and i also think that that is a poor analogy, as lips are essential to a mouth functioning. as indicated by the fact that the majority (at least it seems that way, though perhaps not in r/mensrights where suggesting such is anathema) of circumcised people aren't bothered by it and live otherwise normal and happy lives (and sex lives), that doesnt appear to be the case for a foreskin, the lack of which d…

the anti-cutters always throw this out, but it goes both ways. you cant know an experience you havent had, so assuming that they have been negatively affected is just as ill-informed. closest you could get would be someone who was circumcised late enough in life to give an informed opinion on the different, but even that wouldnt be an objective comparison.

the point isn't that i'm an apathetic person, its that i have undergone this procedure and it has affected my life zero. circumcised people live happy fulfilled lives, so the hive-mind's obsession is pretty tiresome. everyone that is interested has already been convinced, and nobody else cares.

yeah. it works just fine and ive never had cause to complain. in fact, the only time in my entire life that ive even given it a second thought is every other day when somebody feels compelled go karma fishing by reposting these same arguments everyone has heard before. as a victim of this horrible practice, i want to go on record that i give exactly zero shits.

i dunno. i think you have a fair point, but have a hard time imagining that ever flying. rights like privacy are relatively easy to bend, unfortunately, but the precedent for due process is pretty firmly established in prohibiting a presumption of guilt. i also feel like the supreme court would have a strong interest in quickly reviewing legislation like this since it would involve the fifth amendment and would directly affect the province of the judiciary.

Depends on a lot of factors. Size of the company, hours worked, perceived importance. If you are a high wage earner or otherwise essential to the enterprise, they can give your job away. Also it is unpaid leave.

A think a lot of it is missed promotional opportunities. men tend to end up making more in the long run because, on average, they work more. Even if you get paid the same while on leave, no reasonable employer is going to say "welcome back from maternity leave. i know you've been out of the loop for a while, but here is a promotion"
