One obvious difference here is that anything beyond mild intoxication is a bad or at least dubious idea independent of your sex. All those other things are things which one might have sound reasons for.

If you're comparing 'patriarchy' and the FSM, I think you missed one important thing: The FSM is supposed to be ridiculous, it's a parody of creationist views. Unlike 'patriarchy', whose proponents seem to take it seriously.

Blue pill theory doesn't exist, because it's just common sense. I think OP was saying that it's not 'common sense', it's at least partly culture. Which I am very much inclined to agree with. One example how these differ is romanticism. Modern romanticism is if anything anti-common-sense, but culture generally supports it. I don't really remember. I was browsing this thread in /r/skeptic/ at the time, but there doesn't seem to be a link to PurplePillDebate present when I look at the page source, so.. The only connecting factor seems to be this /u/mrsamsa character. (searching 'selftext:purplepilldebate' returns this as one of the results. However, that link is not one I've seen/visited before. Further research suggests mrsamsa is a blue-piller, so I'm gonna bet that he is actually the missing link.)
