Рutin's system didn't come up with any real ideology to oppose the West, so they took the differences present (+ general "history pride" ofc) and amplified them by means of propaganda and domestic terrorism. For instance, Russiа doesn't recognize same-sex couples and technically doesn't prosecute them, but they recently declared "LGBT movement" to be еxtrеmist organization (sic), and participating in an extremist organization is (supposed to be) punished brutally.
