Even then, you can't separate the two so easily. His ability to support her is part of her sexual attraction to him. Women go crazy for the rich and famous, not because all these men are good looking, but because the promise of status, security, and wealth that he offers makes him sexually more attractive to her. They really aren't thinking, 'I want to use this guy for his money'. They just think he seems super hot, and perhaps they aren't even sure why. I think RP men really hate female sexuali…

All categorizes are arbitrary to some degree. They only exist for organization purposes, or to help us simplify and make sense of a complex world. RPillers might think categorizing men into alphas and betas make the world simpler and easier to understand, but I don't think so. It just doesn't seem to fit reality quite right. All the men I know personally do not fit into either mold. Honestly I can't even tell where they fall on the spectrum. The only men who do seem to fit are men who I don't kn…

There was a study posted here awhile back that showed that guys end up dating women more attractive than themselves just due to the fact that men are almost always the initiators. Men hit on women more attractive than themselves. Since women will not initiate, their choices are limited to a pool of less attractive men. I don't know how this fits into your theory, but it seems relevant.

One of my coworkers is very attractive and the way Chads treat her is above and beyond how average beta men treat me. When she is in the room, every man gives her his undivided attention. Yes I am super jealous.

A man won't treat an eight differently than a nine or even a ten. I think you don't pay attention to how men act around very beautiful women.

Did you think the guys did anything wrong? To me it seemed from her examples that she was the one being the self-interested jerk.

He even had the nerve to try and persuade me to continue because he wanted to take some nature pictures, but I marched straight back towards civilisation. The nerve? What is so bad about him pushing you to go further? He knew I was really into a certain film and wanted to see it repeatedly, and yet he never offered to accompany me to see it on any of our dates because it did not interest him. Did you ask him or did you just wait for him to offer? If it's the latter, then maybe you actually wante…

Oh sorry. I looked through my post history and found out it wasn't you I was talking to, but some other RPiller whose name starts with a d. He was arguing (1). I encounter this type of argument frequently from RPillers. "You can't feel love because you are a woman." Or "you must be attracted to Chad because you are a woman." Or "You are lying about what you want, because you are a woman and women lie." All these are bad faith arguments, do you agree?

I think there is some truth to this. In relationships I've noticed it's better not to reveal who you are completely, but leave part of yourself hidden, especially the 'bad' parts. This gives the other person the space to create an idealized vision of you. The longer you can maintain this, the longer the relationship will last.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/16 05:49 PM

Would this mean that men don't really love women? They love the idealized version of women in their heads?

I doubt those complaining about the environment (like myself) are the ones taking "advantage" of it. It's the same people. Not you, but I have a couple of a specific RPillers in mind. And it's easy to avoid participation directly, sure. But harder to avoid women that have participated in the past. If you hang out with people who don't drink then it's likely they never participated in the party scene.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/16 09:36 AM

I've noticed this too. When a piece of RP dogma is put directly under the microscope, they argue for the more moderate reasonable position. However, they still use the extreme position in all their reasoning or whenever the foundational RP view itself won't be directly questioned.

Yeah if I made some extraordinary claim, but I was just describing how I feel. Since there is no way to verify or disprove my internal thoughts, then it is in good faith to accept my sentiments as genuine. If I am claiming to have cured cancer, be skeptical. It is in bad faith to say, "No, you are lying. You don't really love your …

Here's my guess on why RP advice might work. RP men are just acting like any BP man would act, but somehow they had extremely idealistic views on women and relationships before. Now by being red they are just being normal. They appeal to a particular niche of woman who like that sort of thing. They appeal to the type of woman who is most likely to be single at any point in time. Men often play nice and supplicating to seduce women into having sex with them, so by not doing this, RP men are viewe…

High n count guys have proven they won't commit or suck at long term relationships, which is probably the worst sin in the eyes of a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/16 03:22 AM

You are confusing feminist propaganda with the mentality of individual women. Telling a woman that she is being emotional is the same as responding to a man's complaint with some articulation of 'male tears'. Men will also dislike this type of response for the simple reason that no man, woman, or child likes being told that their feelings and experiences are illegitimate. Furthermore, women do not think "I am correct because I am a female". They think "I had this thought so it must be correct." …

Who cares if they are "equivalent" at all? I'm looking for a happy, healthy, functioning LTR/marriage. I could give a rats ass what others think is "equivalent" or not. I don't care that there are contrary voices, I only need one woman to agree with my PoV for this all to work. You already found her though, so that doesn't quite explain your motivation. Actually, that's the strategy my friend uses as well. He treats strange women like they are his best friend and acts very familiar with them. It accelerates the usual slow build up of intimacy very quickly. As with you, some women strongly dislike him, but other women (like me) absolutely adore him. Perhaps you are accomplishing the same thing using a different method. By playfully ribbing women you are skipping the initial overly-polite, stiff phase that most relationships go through, and jumpi…

Sometimes I think I'm swimming in an ocean of them. Avoiding "emotional" women would mean avoiding most women I know. The existence of less emotional women won't change that. I'm sorry. That sounds like hell. I don't think it's that extreme for most people's social circles though. Take reddit for example. Do you notice a huge difference in emotionality between the men and women who post here? In particular RP men and incels seem more emotional than average, but I'm probably just biased. But to y…

seems to make more sense for women to realize they are what they are, and for men to realize the same. I don't see the utility in this because even though on average women may be more emotionally expressive than men, it is not true for every man and every woman. I am probably less emotional than 50% of men I meet, so what good would it do for me to 'realize what I am' as a woman? It only would really make sense for individuals at the tail ends of the bell curves. Most people in the middle will e…

RPillers really do not understand women at all. Women are secretly ashamed of their emotionality. Tell a woman that she is being emotional and see how she reacts. Tell her that women are more emotional than men and watch her face turn red. It won't be with pride. Women want men to be emotional so that we no longer have to be ashamed of our own emotions. Our feelings can only be validated and taken seriously if they are shared by men. That is why we encourage men to be emotional. Not for Man to h…

My only theory is that guys sometimes use niceness in order to manipulate girls into sleeping with them, so by not being nice girls perceive you as being refreshingly honest. I think none of your examples were that jerk-ish though. I mean you probably wouldn't have a problem saying any of those things to your guy friends, would you? I think of jerk behavior as humiliating someone in front of their friends or laughing at their expense. Do you ever do that?

Are your turned on by him? Does he make you get tingles? Does he make you want to jump into bed with him? I am currently in a relationship, but he gets offers from women for sex fairly often. He also had a woman offer to leave her husband for him, and another girl proposed to him.

So abuse is fine as long as victim is so psychologically beaten that they're OK with it? Who said anything about abuse? If your spouse is abusing you, you are not required to stay with them. Men get told to fall in line; there's nothing equivalent in the mainstream for women. I didn't get the luxury of a liberal education I guess. I was never taught any of that stuff. Platitudes. If women have a serious issue in a relationship they're told to prioritize their own happiness first. Whatever ration…

Then this is not "short-term romantic success" It's not 100% success rate, but he found a niche, fit the role very well, and therefore has his choice of several women. The idea you have is correct, but the guy you speak of is way too caring and gives too much attention to other people. Most women find this creepy. Yeah, I found it creepy too at first, but he doesn't come off as threatening at all so I stuck around for the attention and flattery. Now I really like him. You need outgoing personali…

Then I have no idea what you are talking about. General friendliness. Showing an interest in other people and acting to progress the relationship. Talking to strangers openly and without reservation. Treating people like they were your best friend. That doesn't make any sense. If he is fun and friendly and outgoing and likeable, why don't guys like him? I don't think they pick on him anymore. That happened when he was younger. Now I think he just avoids men and prefers the company of women.

In a codependent relationship, it's a one-sided expectation. In a communal relationship there are no expectations, from either side. There is no guarantee that your partner will participate, but all you can do is contribute your part and move on if you find the relationship is not fulfilling enough.

I've never actually met a man that was an asshole to women and successful. Even the 'Chads' I know are really nice and attentive to women, although often they are jerks to other men. What do you do?

Interesting post. A communal sharing relationship is definitely what I want. You can't be a victim of communal sharing if you are doing it right, because you don't expect any sort of compensation for what you invest in the relationship. Perhaps this is the problem with RPillers. They thought they were attempting a communal relationship, but really they were just equality matching. /r/PurplePillDebate12/12/16 06:46 AM

Yes but at the same time, it's not any individual's obligation to do so. The goal is to change the social environment so that men can feel free to express weakness, and women can pursue careers.

And feminism is just a term that means men and women should receive equal treatment. And liberalism is just a term that refers to people who care about the poor. And Christianity is just a term for people who don't want to serve the devil. For a group that claims to value truth over lies, RP sure swallows it's own propaganda quite readily.

It's not an individual woman's responsibility to get a job in STEM in order to buck the stereotype that women aren't good at STEM. Similarly, it's not an individual man's responsibility to show emotion in order to buck the stereotype that real men don't show emotion.

It's not men's responsibility to buck those trends, just as it's not women's responsibility to get STEM jobs. It's society's responsibility, and the only way to change society is to keep talking about it, drawing attention to it, and encouraging people to be more accepting of men showing emotion and seeking help.

It benefits you in some way not to believe me. It has nothing to do with lack of foolishness. I am not sure why RP men so insistently dehumanize women. I don't know what they gain from it. Can you tell me?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/16 05:23 PM
3

You really have no reason not to believe me though. There is no way you can peer into the inner thoughts of me or any woman, so why not take our word for what we say we feel? It doesn't hurt you at all to accept that women love men. It doesn't change anything. You don't want to accept though. Why not? You must have some inner motivation to not want to believe me.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/16 07:09 AM

I am a woman, and not a particular morally outstanding one. I'm probably worse than average actually. I don't feel anything like what you described above. Not even the teeny tinest bit. I think you will not be able to convince me, because you can never convince someone how you think they feel. I know how I feel. And it's nothing close to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/16 06:56 AM

Yeah, but there is nothing intrinsic about having smooth legs and makeup. A few of us are naturally gorgeous, but most of us have to modify who we are in order to attract men.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/16 06:52 AM
1

When RP talk about love, they usually mean attraction. That's why I'm using them as synonyms here.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/16 06:48 AM

Women literally just have to look nice, which is hella straightforward. Just don't be fat, and you'll have some decent options I'm sure it appears that way to you, but it's not that like that for average looking women. Imagine being totally ignored by men (by betas too) and then suddenly receiving tons of attention once you started wearing makeup and revealing clothes. Where were all those guys when I was being my frumpy, natural self? I think RP men view themselves a bit too romantically.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/16 06:46 AM

None of those guys are remotely ugly. All of them except the fat one are too hot to give me the time of day. They basically all could be models. But to answer your question, there is this guy I know who looks omega basically. He has inch thick glasses, short, chubby cheeks, and always seems to either have a bit of lunch left over on his face or a booger coming out of his nose. He screams 'virgin' but he is the most romantically 'successful' guy I know. He has women proposing to him, offering him…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/16 06:30 AM

And curiously enough, guys do not seem to love old ugly hags much either.

I think your biggest mistake is thinking that women don't also have to change who they are to attract men. We literally have to change our physical bodies in order to get men to like us. On the other side, men can be their hairy smelly selves and still attract women.

Like I asked above, do men only want women for their eggs? It's true that all sexual attraction/love be hypothetically reduced down to a biological need to reproduce. But then it would follow that no one loves anyone 'for who they are'. Actually I like this view. I never understood what "for who they are" meant any ways.

It's not vacuous. It's true. Vacuous means that a statement is so trivially true, that there is no insight or depth of meaning to it. And I don't care about whether men are any of these things. I'm not trying to date, fuck or marry men. I'm not trying to have sexual relationships with men. I care only about the extent to which women are those things. Good. If a woman is more successful than a man, then it has a negative effect on his own status (he becomes demasculinized basically). There are studies that show men prefer richer, more educated women, but it only preferred up to the man's own wealth and education level. When the woman starts becoming more successful than the man, then he sees her status as a negative because it threatens his masculinity and position.

This guy has romanticized himself to an embarrassing degree. He really thinks his attraction to hot young college sluts is somehow morally righteous lol. Women are not actually attracted to men. There is a vague idea of what a man is physically, and some are better than others aesthetically speaking, but the purely physical appearance of a man is almost inconsequential unless he is horribly ugly or outrageously attractive. Minus the first line, I would say this is mostly true. Women are attracte…

I agree mostly. In my opinion, women are status obsessed. Money and looks are only attractive to women because men with looks and money generally have higher social status. Power and status are almost interchangeable, so you might be right about that too.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/16 07:34 PM

A vacuous statement. All people are selfish, altruistic, loyal, disloyal, friendly, reclusive, honest, dishonest, superficial, mature, vain, and humble "to some degree".

Sure. In as much as a man is in control of his wealth, and a woman is in control of her appearance, they are similar. However, I am not sure about youth since this is obviously entirely out of a woman's control.

I don't actually believe women leave men for their loss in wealth, rather it's his loss of status. An unemployed man is considered low status by society, and women's values reflect that. Obviously women don't leave a man the moment he loses a job. Sustained or chronic unemployment is more likely the cause of divorce, or the marriage was already in trouble, so utility was the only thing holding it together. Someone linked this below. Women of all levels of attractiveness send the same amount of messages. https://www.okcupid.com/deep-end/a-womans-advantage No matter how attractive a woman appears, we see similar messaging behavior. For men, those who are most attractive send the most messages, with the top 40% reaching out the most. Perhaps they enjoy basking in the glory of being one of the elitely attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/12/16 08:04 AM

From your own link... Shockingly, no. The number of messages received doesn’t affect how many messages women send out. Even if a woman receives zero, 10 or 20 messages, she’s not likely to send more. On the contrary, men initiate no matter what, and the more messages they receive, the more they send. So we know that attractive women receive more messages, but women who receive more messages send just as many messages. It follows then that unattractive women do not send any more messages than att…

It means to remove their individuality and deny them the traits we associate with being human.Telling someone their choice is cowardly is not dehumanizing them. It's just criticizing them. Adults generally don't go into every interaction trying to make it as fun as possible. In what context? It removes it from men as well, following the same logic (All Humans Are Like That). Trp allows men to be individuals. For instance, if a man wants to have a family with one woman, TRP allows him to have this preference. They may tell him it is a bad idea, but it is not argued that he is lying to himself, or that he will never be happy unless he spins plates. He can also like fat women, nerdy women, or manly women. I don't think this is even up for debate. TRP removes women's individuality. (AWALT, special snowflakes) TRP removes women's ability to change and learn. I believe that they normalized attractiveness levels for the response rate graphs so that the levels of attractiveness have the same number of men and women. Also, the graphs show response rate percentages, not the absolute number of responses, so it wouldn't matter anyways.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/16 01:02 PM

When you look at response rates in that same study, the graphs are basically flipped with women responding more to average and even below average men, and men focusing on the top 2/3 of women. Also, unattractive men respond to unattractive women's messages (35%) much less than unattractive women responded to unattractive men (45%). So basically if you look at response rate instead of ratings, you would come to the exact opposite conclusion.

Red Pill does part two, they just never do part one. Both of these statements are true. Human beings manipulate others. That's the game. Where's the contrast in these statements? The first is an example of not owning your shit due to the notion that women or the game is somehow forcing your hand. You chose to manipulate women because you wanted …

That's an existential discussion that I'm not willing to get into. If we accept your premise, then no one has a choice, not feminists, not women, not men, and not society. If no one has any responsibility, and the whole conversation shuts down and words like "choice" and "responsibility" become essentially non-functional.

You act like free will exists. If we are going to go that road, then no one is responsible for any of their actions. What you believe and when is not a choice. It's still your responsibility.

He does his best, but he's rejected as a candidate for whatever reason. Who is playing the role of the "rejector" in the RP situation? Aren't RP men offered the position of astronaut, but they decide that the salary and benefits aren't good enough to outweigh the risk of space flight? Your argument basically boils down to "every boy can be an astronaut if they want to enough, and any boy who doesn't make it must not have wanted it." Opportunities for being an astronaut are rare, and not every bo…

Let's go back to your astronaut scenario. Say the boy wants to be an astronaut. We agree on that. Then he starts taking engineering classes and he decides it will take a lot of work and the chances of him being an astronaut are very slim. Then he decides that although he would like to be an astronaut, it's not worth the risk and effort. So he decides to work at McDonalds instead. Is society preventing him from becoming an astronaut? Who is responsible for his crushed dreams? The idea of being an…

If you're saying that the argument "society lied to young men about how they should interact with women" is invalid because one should take responsibility for what they believe, you're blaming kids. People form strong, foundational opinions about the world starting at a young age. First of all, who is lying? BP is obviously here arguing because we believe this stuff ourselves. Blaming kids for believing what their parents (and all other authority figures in their lives) tell them is a little silly. If a boy dreams of becoming an astronaut, but ends up working at McDonald's after realizing it's not feasible, would you say he "wanted" to work at McDonald's? Yes, because he could have worked a Taco Bell. He wasn't forced to work at McDonalds through a lack of astronaut positions. Why are you holding trp to a higher standard than the rest of humanity? Because TRP claims a higher standard than everyone else. Futhermore trp doesn't attempt to inflict their shit on everyone else through society wide changes as feminism does. It encourages men to change as individuals I'd say they are trying to change society by getting Donald Trump elected.

In my perspective, every individual is the cause of their own beliefs and behavior, except in extreme cases of course. That is where you draw the line. You are never responsible for other people's behaviors, and you are always responsibility for your own.

I never said we were having infrequent or starfish sex. For some reason all the men here think that is the only possible problem that could ever exist in a relationship. Why is that? You are the third person to say something like that. I have sex with my boyfriend whenever he wants because its the only way I can get any sort of intimacy from him. The majority of the time, I prefer to sit comfortably in quiet. However, the problem comes from when the conversations disappear entirely and all talk reduces to a pragmatic exchange of information. For me, I would prefer an intimate conversation to happen once a week. Every day would be too much, but once a month not enough. A once a week conversation is porn star sex every night to you?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/16 04:16 PM

Yeah, if a man's wife stops having sex with him, then he might ask how he can rekindle the same passion she had for him at the beginning of the relationship. I think you are barking up the wrong tree. Instead of thinking what you can do to change a man and bend him to your will you could try letting go a bit.
